Marie Marie saw the earth seem to shackle the bear type thing and turned her head to look at Vaul. She walked over to him and then back at the animal. "We need to get out of here if that thing gets loose it will become kill or be killed." She said not taking her eyes off the animal. She was wondering why it seemed like the entire world was trying to attack them. She heard the animal whimper and growled. "Yeah, we need to move fast, it's calling it's mate." She looked around hoping the mate was far enough away that it couldn't get there before they could get away.

Vaul Moon
Vaul did not say to much at this moment as he was a little busy with trying to cast another spell. A few seconds past by and he was finished with his next spell but kept it on stand by for now. His gaze wandered towards Marie. "Then it would be best to kill it now, the spell might not hold for much longer" he said before he heard her growl. At the mentioned of a mate he let out a sigh and scanned the surrounding area. But the had no choice but to fight, seeing as he was not built for running. Pondering a few ideas he wondered what would be the best course of action and he did have a summoning spell ready it was just a matter of putting some final touches on to it. "How many more of those things are there" he asked in a curious tone.

Marie Marie thought quickly and responded. "Two, they only ever make two, a male and female so they will breed." She figured that these two were freshly bred from the way that acted. Older ones, well the ones that actually survived wouldn't of approached slowly. It would have attacked instantly. Aiming to kill. "Kill this one, I'm going to find it's mate. Yell if anything happens and I'll run back." She told Vaul before heading off to where she had heard the growl come from. She went over to some bushes and ducked down so she could see the animal before it saw her.

Vaul Moon
Vaul looked over at her when she mentioned he had to kill the creature and it was followed by a sigh. Although he really did not have much of an option in the matter. He watched it closely for a moment or two before deciding on how to best deal with the beast. Placing his hand on the ground he summoned a few elementals. They where about as tall as a human and there where three of them. Each made from the earth its self. He did not speak but gave them some orders. Moving slowly they reached the beast and lifted there rock like fists into the air and began to beat to beast to death. He could have done this in a more humane manner but something could not be avoided. A few cries came from it but it feel silent soon enough but he let the elementals have there way with it. For all Vaul knew the creature was faking its death.

Marie As the beast drew closer, Marie got ready to pounce, she heard a few cries in the background and her heart tore a little to hear a creature in pain, but she knew what happened to these creatures, their bodies couldn't take the breeding and died. She pounced on the one that had almost passed her and drove her knife into it's throat a few times. It still managed to throw her, but it was bleeding to much to do much damage besides swipe at her a few times. When the creature laid dead before her, she reached over and grabbed something off of it. She walked back to Vaul and cocked her head sideways. "You alright?" She asked moving the tracker around in her hand, she could feel the magic pulsing through it. "I'm sorry you had to do that, but there wasn't really a choice." She cringed a little, she still hated hurting animals.

Vaul Moon
Vaul heard a final moan come from the dying creature and looked over to see that the earth elementals had beaten it to a pulp and soon enough absorbed it into the ground below. Soon enough they two crumbled from existence and fell to the ground going back to there native plane. "I am fine and your self" he asked in a curious tone. Upon hearing her statement he shock his head slightly from side to side. "There was no why to avoid it. I detest killing creatures as much as you but sometime it can not be avoided" he said before sighing softly. Pondering over a few thoughts he scanned the surrounding area and it seemed to clear. "Shall we get going Marie' he asked as he moved to her side and link there arms together once more.

Marie Marie nodded her head, pulling the device out. "This will help us find the village, it will start beeping when we get close." She murmured holding it out in front of her and moving her arm. She began following the sound of beeping. She grinned happily. " What do ya know, I can hear the river." She glanced at Vaul and looked him up and down. "Would you like to rest for a bit?"

Vaul Moon
Vaul titled his head to the side slightly bit only nodded when she finished speaking. To him it seemed to be a magical tracker of sorts and he followed right beside her and even went as far as to link their arms together for time being. The sound of moving water began to fill his ear and he looked over at her with a small smile under his mask. "So do I" he said before turning attention forwards. Pondering over her question he continued to walk following the beep of the device. "When we arrive at the river" he said in a clam voice. Although his body was growing tired he would continue to move on for the time being. It did not take them too long before they arrived at a river and he broke his connection to her. Moving forwards he removed his mask and laid it beside him as he knelt down near the river. Making a cup with his hands he began to drink. The water was clean and cold, it was a pleasant feeling it run down his throat. "It is good" he said before lifting him self back up. He did not look at her but he had not real reason to hide his face from her any more.

Marie Marie smiled to herself when he mentioned the water was good. "Yeah it is." She grinned wider. She reached into the bag and pulled out the rest of the food. She walked over to him and sat down beside him placing the food between the both of them. She was thinking about how she used to go swimming in this river as a child. And then she jumped up and ran upstream a bit before diving in. She enjoyed the coolness and serenity of it all. The water pulled her a bit but she easily resisted it. "You should come in the water." She called to Vaul and then mentally slapped herself. She wasn't sure if he could or not and didn't want to upset him by saying anything. "I mean...if you want to?" She meant to say it like a statement but instead it came out a question. She was beginign to notice that her thoughts and words fumbled a bit around him.

Vaul Moon
Vaul rested on his knees and he heard moving around. Soon enough she came to rest beside him and he glanced over at the women for a moment as he reached for some of the food she had packed. Grabbing it firmly in his hand he brought it to his mouth and began to eat, only a profile of his face could be seen. But it was still distorted and morphed thanks to the sickness that plagued his people. His gaze wandered to her as she jumped into the water and slight smile formed on his misshapen lips. Listening to her speak he pondered over the thought of swimming and it was an uncommon activity for his people but none the less he would be able to do it.
"I might if the appearance of my body dose not sicken you" Vaul said bluntly. He knew his figure was disgusting and that is why his people rarely removed their clothing. The only thing about him that seemed to hold any beauty where his eyes which shined in the day light. He finished with his meal and set down what was left of his food to his side as he watched her moved about the water.

Marie Marie raised an eyebrow at his remark. She knew that the sickness he had must have torn his body apart, but that didn't matter to her. She was able to see beyond all that. "Nah, the only thing that sickens me is eggplants. I hate the stuff." She joked swimming toward the land a bit. "Come in." She splashed him playfully a bit smiling. She dunked under water for a moment to rewetten her hair and appeared back up in a second.

Vaul Moon
Vaul simply stood by the edge of the river and watched her as she spoke to him. He let a faint smile form on his lips after she finished speaking and he was glad to hear those words from her. Pondering over her off he might take a quick swim and if nothing else would have the chance to clean his body for once. A chuckle came from him as she splashed water onto him. "I will be in shortly" he said as he moved away form the shore and began to strip his body but he would keep his undergarments on. His clothing his the ground and landed with a heavy thud. Both of his legs where gone and replaced with a metal component that came to a end three quarters of the way up his thigh. Some spots glowed a faint blue while other bits moved aside from that his black undergarments could be made out. His torso was not in a good shape.
Certain areas look like it the bubbled over and some of it seemed to look like it was rotting away. His ribs where easily made out and he was quit thin. His left arm had been replaced and the machine went straight to is torso. Shifting around he walked to the shore and slowly slipped him self into the water. He felt him self sink quickly and there seemed to be little chance that he would be able to swim. Once he gained his footing he walked around a little and looked over at Marie.

Marie While Vaul had gone to go undress Marie continued swimming around singing quietly to herself and thinking about where they were going and what they were looking for. The witches could be fickle women, and sometimes made things more complicated then they had to. She also knew that when she walked into that village some secrets would come out. So she had decided to tell Vaul before they got there. She turned and saw him get in the water. She once again saw what it was the disease was doing to his body, and cringed wondering how much longer he had. This thought made her incredibly sad and scared, and the two emotions hit her fast and hard enough to scae her at their sudden approach. "Are you going to be okay?" She asked her voice quiet. This time she wasn't just talking about the current moment, she was talking about in general. She wasn't sure if she had asked him this before, but she knew she didn't want him to say his fate was sealed.

Vaul Moon
Vaul found his footing and started to float in the water for the time being. It seemed to have a soothing effect on him and he managed to relax for a small moment of time. He was bought back into reality after hearing her voice and he opened his eyes brining his gaze to her. A soft expression lined the features of his face and he gave her questions a few moments worth of thought. "I am fine as of now but my future is grim to say the least" he said in a calm voice. He had fully accepted his fate and death was his destination one way or another. Either death by the black scrawl or of natural causes awaited him in the future. "I might last for the next few months or simply a few days" he said before shrugging slightly. He floated around and swam towards her at this moment and took a good look into her eyes. "It upsets you doesn't it" he asked in a curious tone. There was maybe a few feet in between them at this time.
((Sorry its taken me so long to post. As well how are you doing have not heard form you in some time.))

Marie Marie listened intently a soft look in her eyes, She knew he accepted his fate but she was having a hard time doing the same. He was the first person she had met in years that actually made her happy. She wasn't ready to accept this as temperary. "Yes, it does. I like you, and you dying I just...If there is anything I can do to prevent it, I will." She responded smiling at him, though her sadness at his sickness broke through her smile a bit. She floated toward him a bit more without really thinking about it. ((I been good, school just started again for me how about you??))
