Ryo stopped and glanced behind him at the new voice that spoke up. It came from some stranger woman with a wolf. "Hey, don't diss my fire releases! I worked hard on those, and who are you anyways?" Ryo eyed the woman. Yet, she and his new teacher seemed to be over the same opinion.

Kiya laughed once. "You don't care who I am." She said coldly. "And, I'm dissing your Release Jutsu because, quite frankly, it's useless. Well, compared to others that is. They're really only good at cutting through things, not very effective if you act me." She said with a casual shrug. She then turned to the kid. "'Ey, I asked you if you wanted someone to teach. Mind giving me an answer?" She asked, though, her voice wasn't snippy or disrespectful in any way, it was just, plain.

Despite the fact that Ryo said he'd learn the recommended technique, he didn't really care and he wasn't really impressed. It was obvious because he was recommended to by a girl, not because Kleine recommended it. ''I am pretty sure he does care who you are, indeed, Kiya. He's a teenage boy, after all. . . unfortunately. . ."

"I'll stay naive and idealistic. Only thing I got in this world and I'll keep to it." Rey stated as he whispered and looked at Ryo. He had gave off a competative approuch and when he left he smiled alittle and adjusted his headband that was on his shoulder. "Itachi if you are my real father, I need strength. If you're not, still help me." Rey whispered as he looked at the
scroll. He only had Genin techniques before he needed a new scroll. What he really needed was a teacher, someone he could call a real sensei. Though he dind't know where he would find one at. The best sensie for him as far as power just left with his new "rival". Though Rey probably wouldn't have put up with nonsense the dude spoke in order to gain power. That would just be dumb. "Teacher, I'll be on the roof." Rey stated as he looked at the teacher then walked out of the academy and appeared at the back of it. He then climbed his way to the roof of the academy. "Here I can do these techniques. Of course.I could always do them inside of but then I what would I be?" Rey stated as he looked at hte scroll and noticed that he had a useful technique. he first needed to do the fire release 2 for the moment. He was already behind Ryo, but he'll make up for it. He held his hands together and started to think.

He was first starting by getting the reiatsu to flow around him and inside him. This technique was to allow him to not only allowed him to gather heat in his finger like release one but it was two fingers now. It was good for cut metallic string too so it would be very usefull against a puppet user. Or anyhone who was trying to trap him. It wasn't that difficult to see the importance of the technique. He struggle at first. His finger only collected heat in one finger, not any other. It was wierd. Maybe he was forgettting something.

Looking at his past failure, Rey summoned his chakra again to try and figure out what was going on. He was sure he had the technique down this time. His chakra flowed through out the body and went straight to his right hand. He was molding it correctly this it correctly this time but something was still wrong. He must didn't put enough chakra or he had made a mistake because only his index finger glowed with heat. With a sigh Rey persistance, tried again.

This last time Rey could feel that he had did it correctly. The flow of his chakra and the molding of it didn't feel forced. It felt natural. it felt as if he was a bank and water was flowing through him freely but slowly. Rey then held out his hands and concentrated on his right hand. He then felt an intense amount of heat. Well maybe an overstatement. It was actualyl just heat that he never felt before and he noticed his index and middle finger glowed with heat. He then pressed his right hand against his left arm and it burned causing Rey to jerk his hand back. "oww, that hurt!!" Rey yelled as he looked at his hands and smiled. "Another jutsu bites the dust." Rey stated as he then sat to take a break.

Ryo sighed. "On it." He grumbled and turned from the other two to start his training immediately. The first part was obvious, which were the hand seals. Ryo ran through them a few times to memorize them and then he was set. These hand seals came quite naturally to him for some reason. Ryo began to wonder if there was some way he could learn to use the jutsu without them at all.

The challenge of taking on a jounin-level jutsu at genin rank was a little imitating, Ryo would admit, but there was no way he was going to let that stop him. After all, with all of his experience in the ghettos of rogue territory and after watching his older bro train for hours on end, he'd picked up a thing or two. Translating and learning jutsus came easier to him. On Ryo's first try though, all he could produce was a meager balloon-sized fireball.

"Tch, how weak." Ryo grumbled as he ran through the hand signs again. "Stupid teachers. Stupid girl. Stupid girly jutsu." he cursed under his breath and suddenly breathed out a much larger sized fireball. This time is was a little larger than a basketball. Still, for the amount of emotion Ryo had tried pulling into that technique, the results were rather puny.

Ryo went back to working on his jutsu. Surely practice was the key to getting the hang of this. He set himself up once more and breathed out a large ball of flame. However, despite his best attempts there was something Ryo was missing in this jutsu.

Annoyed, Ryo breathed steam out of his mouth and thought about what it was that he was missing. From what he could tell he was doing everything right, he just couldn't produce enough air for the level of attack. The young shinobi's eyes lit up. That was it! He needed more air!

On his next try, Ryo confidently formed his hand seals and focused on creating the fire. But this time he did something a little differently. Ryo focused his chakra into his throat to make it expand and thus create more air as he held the fireball inside of himself. Then in one great blast an almost blooming flower-shaped fireball was breathed to life by Ryo, where it soared up into the sky before finally going out in a large explosion that reminded the boy of something like fireworks. The same confident grin was restored to Ryo's face almost immediately. "Heh, hell yeah!" The young man pumped his fist into the air. "Burn baby!"

Obviously proud of his accomplishment, Ryo turned and faced his sensei. "How's that huh? Now thats a fire jutsu!"

He lightly smiled, but his face never once turned back to view of Ryo. And so... the smile subsided before it could even once be seen. ''But you're still such a muscle-head. Maybe the next step in our training is for you to learn and use some... eloquence."

"I'll worry about eloquence when I have the time for it." Ryo answered. "So whats the next technique? I still have a lot of jutsu to master." The shinobi stretched out and shook his hands a bit as they'd become slightly burned from all of the katon jutsu he'd been using with them. "Wait, you wouldn't happen to know any Hyuuga clan techniques, would you?"

"Eh, not important right now." Ryo decided and went on to learn his academy level katon jutsus. He started with the Flare technique, as good a place to start as any. He learned it easily without hardly any effort at all as he breathed a brief but bright flame from his mouth. This was nothing after having learned the Fire Lily attack.

Next was the Fire Release: Shuriken technique, of which Ryo also learned on his first try. He simply threw a shuriken at lamp post, and then shot a ball of fire onto as it sailed through the air to give it a burning touch. He quickly had to retrieve the shuriken and put out the fire before he accidentally burned down anything.

The Veil Technique came next, and Ryo was glad to get ahold of something more useful. First he performed the necessary hand seals and then clapped his hands together. Immediately a blinding light flashed from his hands to distract an invisible opponent. Ryo kept the jutsu in mind, as he was sure he'd need to use it later.

The next jutsu had a flashy kind of style to it that Ryo warmed up to. He simply concentrated on creating a spark and then with a snap of his fingers it appeared. This could come in handy for if he ever needed to light something on fire, like oil or something.

The last jutsu on the academy level list was also something Ryo shined to. It was meant to mimic the style of the gentle fist, but Ryo only thought of combining with the style itself to produce an addition fire-effect much like his passion for the basic Fire Releases. The young genin easily learned the technique on his first try as he held a cinder spark in his hand and let it grow to the point where he held a simple flame in his palm.

Ryo felt that he was now currently reaching the limits of what he could do with such a muscle-head body. He took a moment out of his training to stop and meditate on his form. To the outsider looking in, they would notice Ryo's body undergo a fast change in just minutes as his body took on a slender and more athletic look. When he was finished Ryo took a deep breath and stretched out a bit, but go the feeling he was going to enjoy being a Weapon Class shinobi for a while. Of all the other classes, this one was the most flexible for him as it would allow Ryo to continue learning more ninjutsu, as well as genjutsu, medical, a taijutsu style, and of course a weapon style as well.

Ryo wasted no time getting into his genin level katon jutsus. For now he skipped over a few to get down to what he thought would be the most important of the set, the Ember Clone. First Ryo practiced the hand seals so he could flash through them quickly in a tight spot.

Then Ryo attempted the jutsu. To him it was much like using the normal illusion bunshins. First he pictured a perfect image of himself and then he used chakra to bring it to life, only this time he used katon chakra to create a clone of fire, though it may not have looked it. With a practice use where Ryo instantly detonated the clone, its uses in combat were numerous.

Ryo also helped himself to learning the Flame-Resistance technique. After all, it would look pretty lame if Ryo took himself out with his own fire. A little protection was always needed. Ryo practiced raising his body temperature to help adapt his chakra to create a natural block against it.

This training took time, unlike the others. Most passive jutsu were the most useful, since they didn't require any seals to be activated, but the drawback was how much time it took to learn. Ryo set himself off to the side for a while to practice with the technique until he could master it in his own way.

Kawarimi No Jutsu: Substitution Technique.

Kiya watched the boy learn the jutsu with a slight interest. Sooner or later she would be able to do that easily. But, for now, she would learn her techniques for the academy. It would be a painfully dull experience, but, alas, she would need to in order to get to her genin level. So, with that, she let her chakra flow. Black and purple wisps engulfed her lazily as she summoned it to her will. She then concentrated on what she would need to substitute herself with. Like a log, the perfect one was laying on the ground no to far away. So, Kiya let her chakra flow to it and began to switch herself with it.

As she concentrated, she was sure not to turn her back on her new sensei. She had learned not to trust anyone who knew her name without her telling, even if they were to train her. As the log came closer and closer to switching with her, she let all her concentration flow into increasing her chakra count, but not by to much, she wouldn't want to pass out again, especially with people near by. She could feel her body becoming one with the object as black fire began to engulf them both. It wouldn't be long now, soon, she would be able to trade placed with the log without anyone knowing. That made a smile grow across her face, it would be quite a nifty trick to learn, quite a nifty trick indeed.

Finally, Kiya did it, she felt herself becoming one with the log, then switching places. The log looked exactly like her, yet, she was in a nearby tree. With a sly smile on her face, she made the Substitute walk up towards the boy and young one. "So, how do you know my name?" She asked nonchalantly, though a hint of distrust was in her voice. The real Kiya snickered as the Substitute continued to talk. As the substitute was busy, she began to lounge in a tree to practice her next Jutsu. It would be to create an actual clone of herself, and, by what she had heard, Kiya would be able to learn everything the clone learned, meaning she might be able to learn Jutsus faster. With that, she would begin as the Substitute held conversation.

Ryo went on to his next katon jutsus, this time revisiting those of his same level. First was the Mythical Fire Flower technique. Again he'd learn a flower named fire jutsu, but Ryo tried to push that thought from his mind. After performing the hand seals he coughed out a few fireballs easily enough.

However, there was one further trick he could use with this jutsu. Ryo made the seals again and fired a few more successful and powerful fireballs, only these also had shuriken in them. They hit a nearby concrete wall with a dull thud. He'd successfully mastered the jutsu.

Next up was another fire-breathing jutsu. Ryo was getting pretty used to these, but it would be nice to have one of his own level that he could use with little chakra cost. With just 3 hand seals the technique would come in handy for a quick fiery attack or defense.

Ryo made the seals and then easily breathed out the V-shaped flame. Most of these fire-breathing jutsus applied the same techniques so it was easy to get the hang of. Ryo practiced it a few more times and then moved on to the next and last fire jutsu on his list.
