Nezumi finally got up and headed to the kitchen in a pretty depressed mood. Hamlet followed behide him as it used Ark as a ladder to get onto the table. He muttered something that sounded like a good morning.

Ark turned towards Nezumi, not noticing him until the rat ((oh god it was a rat, right, and not a mouse?)) stepped on him. "Good morning. You don't seem as cheerful as you did yesterday," he said with more clarity than would be expected given how tired he looked.

Nezumi nodded and then muttered, "Yeh, I'm not in the best mood." He really was depressed, but he still got up to pour himself a cup of coffee. ((Yeh its fine. Nezumi means rat ya no))

"Well, what's wrong? I have some time before I have to leave," Ark said, trying to sound friendly. He knew he had a habit of coming off incredibly rude.

Nezumi sat back down, sipping on his cup of coffee. "I just don't feel useful," he said petting Hamlet with a very slight smile.

Ark frowned. "Useful?" he asked, "What do you mean by useful? Are you not doing well at your job or something?"

"Yeh. I don't feel like I'm needed at work," Nezumi said not looking up at the other. "And here," he whispered so quietly, even Hamlet couldn't really hear him.

"If they didn't need you, they'd fire you. Get a new job if you're unhappy," Ark said bluntly. "Not everyone enjoys their work, but if it really bothers you quit."

Nezumi nodded but didn't look up from Hamlet. "I can't quite though. So I'll have to get over this," he said finally looking upat Ark, giving him a fake smile.

"And why can't you?" Ark asked, looking Nezumi in the eyes. "You could easily find a new job around here."

"He's the only person who will hire me," Nezumi said not breaking eye contact.

"I'm 18 with no schooling. The best job I could find is the one I have now," Nezumi said, not also saying that he's pretty must the most hated guy in town.

"There are plenty of jobs you can get with that level of education. They may not be the best, but..." Ark trailed off. "Well. Even if you can't go back to school you can get the equivalent of a diploma, or whatever it is you need," he continued, "There's plenty you can do. If you're concerned about not having money to pay for things in the meantime, well. If you want me to stay, I can take care of monetary issues until you have something new."
