Richard O'SullivanO'Sullivan turned the door handle and walked in. He looked a mess. His pants had rips in them, his coat had rips in it, his hair was everywhere, he hadn't shaved in two weeks, and he was covered in dirty water, dirt, mud, and anything else that could be found in the gutter, "Mornin' boss." He said as he closed the door and walked over in front of O'Connor's desk. It looked like he was interrupting something, but Eugene had said that the boss wanted to see him right away. O'Sullivan knew well enough not to keep him waiting. He stood with his hands behind his back, only really desiring two things when this meeting was over, a bath, and to see his beloved Roxy.

Seamus took the offered cigar, once it was lit he lazily puffed on it. "Alright then, I'll get the recruiters to kick it into high gear... Without lowering standards of course." You couldn't sacrifice standards when it came to recruiting, one bad egg could spoil a dozen. After a moment another knock came at the door, noticing O'connor reach for a hidden weapon Seamus gripped his as well.
As soon as the man entered he released it however, one of their own. Seamus had not been told to leave so he went back to his cigar, if Eagan had something else to say he would hear it. O'sullivan was a mess, probably from scouting the other groups. Seamus was looking forward to getting back out on the street, he had been wrapped up in bigger things lately. The man that had tried to mug him was the first violence he had encountered in weeks, while it was not his favorite part of the job somebody had to take out the trash.

Anaithnid Miuil Egan O'Connor "Good to see you again Richard." He said then looked back to Seamus and if that kid you have 'round here sometimes is still around I have some errands for him to do. Nothing to serious." He added, while O'Connor may have been a tough old battle axe he still felt the need to put down anyone who put children in unnecessary harm. When he found people in his outfit using kids for serious things he tended to give them a beating they wouldn't soon forget. Turning his attention once more to Richard he asked him what he had learned.

Richard O'SullivanO'Sullivan looked at Seamus and nodded his head slowly, "Boss lá Dea." he greeted O'Connor before looking over at a table with an older map of Chicago spread out, "Um.. The Chinese are keeping to themselves here." he pointed to the north western part of the city, "They seem not to be too interested in anyone else. However the Germans seem to be the most mobile of the bunch. The Krauts have secured this area here. From Gold Coast down to the area around Soldier's Field. They have control of all the warehouses, and all the dockyards within. They've started setting up checkpoints and barricades on these streets into this area. The line of their control seems to end along North LaSalle street. They've also got control of all the bridges across this inlet below Dusable Park out to their limit of control." he paused wiping some sweat from his brow, "Um.. they're well organized, and well armed. Most of their lower level personell from what I could tell, are former Imperial Army. Probably refugees from the war." He pointed to another part of the city, "This is the Italians. I heard some talk, though I don't speak WOP so I'm not sure exactly what they were saying, but I think the Germans have been in contact with them, or will be soon." He shrugged and looked up at O'Connor and Seamus, "If this erupts it'll make Belleau Wood look like a pop gun fight, boss." he waited for O'Connor's reply. That was all the information he had after two weeks living like a bum in the streets.

Egan O'Connor Egan closed his eyes and let out a slough of curses in Gaelic he remembered that battle he had been shot twice, and he was one of the lucky ones he was still breathing and in one piece. Once he composed himself he looked to the map. "Well if we want to ensure some 'accidents' befall our dear German and Italian friends we must make sure it does not trace to us. I doubt they would be stupid enough for all out war, but pride can do that. If Hoover's boys are called in, that will be bad. Some of his lads are the crusader type, you can't bribe 'em you have to kill 'em. Seamus you have any thoughts or information to add?" He asked his information retrieval hound.

ROXY Roxy came into work on a Friday night. The snow was starting to melt and subside because it was now March. It was starting to get sunnier out and night was later and later. Roxy was glad that spring was blooming but she also walked around with a sadder more pensive expression on her face. She went from being the independent and happy single girl to the one with a new romance to now a bit worried about O'Sullivan. She understood the gang business but she was worried since she hadn't seen him in two weeks with the understanding by when she started to date him than anything could happen in the mob. She grew up with this lifestyle and became ingrained with it at the Harlequin. She was no fool, she knew the reality of what could happen to him. She got her water from the bartender when she walked in. "Any sign of him?" She asked unsure of what to say. She didn't want to see naive or needy but she worried about his safety in general.

Seamus listened to the information, as he did he overlapped it with the knowledge he already had. When asked for input he provided, "I don't know what the conversations are about... But I can confirm that the Germans have been in contact with the Italians." He took a moment to scan his note pad, "I believe they are going to start trying to mess with business before they go for blood... We have already had to take care of some forward scouts." Realizing how that might sound he added, "they were in disguise so we have plausible denyability, I think the best place for my skills is back on the street." He let Eagan consider it for a moment before continuing, "I can better gather information and look for possible sabotage options, before I take any actions I will report to you... And I would be happy to tell Riley you sent for him." The boy worked hard, and as long as the task was not dangerous Seamus had no quarrels. Riley was going to be one hell of an irishman someday.

Egan O'Connor "Very good, we do not want to be the ones caught drawing first blood." Egan emphasized caught if it could be done discretely he didn't have a real problem with it. "You have both done well. Richard get cleaned up and get some rest you can give me a full breakdown tomorrow afternoon. I want you both back here once Brian gets back, that's when the real fun will start. Till then gather all the information you can and sure up our holdings and look o branch out. Land in the train yards, and waterfront is pf particular importance." He said to both men and waited for them to acknowledge.

Richard O'SullivanO'Sullivan nodded, "If the Krauts and the Wops actually do make a deal, they will own nearly two thirds of the water front property in the city. Getting supplies in and out will be nearly impossible without being seen." He sighed, "And I'm sure the rail yards are their next target." He looked at the map, "That's what I'd do anyway. Shut down all means of getting supplies in or out." He looked at O'Connor, "Strangle us into submission." He knew that it would never happen that way, but it was the most obvious strategy for the Germans and the Italians if they wanted force the other mobs out of the city.

Egan O'Connor "Well, I have a friend in the docks, and besides we have been in worse places and still come out on top with the Krauts, eh Richard. But, not to worry I sent Brian to Canada for such a purpose to make friends with the Canucks and enlist a little help." Egan said with a wicked smile things were shaping up like the Great War but instead of nationalism being the source it was good old money.

Richard O'SullivanRichard nodded, "We have." he was too tired to really respond any other way. He looked at Seamus and then back to O'Connor. It was a dirty job that they were doing, and O'Sullivan's mind began to regress. Less and less of Richard could be seen and more and more of Sergeant O'Sullivan began to show it's self as the showdown between the gangs looked inevitable. Then something crossed his mind, "What about Edgar's boys? Any word about their movements?" He knew that the Feds would add another piece to the chess game already being played and it would most likely be they, not the mobs, that would spark this war.

Eugen Greenly [NPC] Not sure what to tell her, he said nothing. He did not want to tell her that Richard was back if he was just going out again. "Sorry, Roxy you need to ask boss man he would know more than I." He said as he handed her the water she had asked for. "But, I wouldn't worry he can take care of himself." He added giving her a reassuring smile.

He listened as the plan developed, "I have some lads on the waterfront... I can focus there if you want to get a head start at the train yards." He puffed on the cigar for a moment, "I can also try to see what the Krauts are bringing in, sabotage at the docks usually can be made to look like an accident..." Leaning back in the chair he waited to see what they thought about the plan, if they agreed he would leave immediately.

ROXY "I'm not going to get involved. No place for a woman. The men get hurt enough as it is. I just thought maybe you'd heard something. I just hope everyone is safe." She said as she took her water to drink. "Well I should be getting ready." She said trying to move on to her dressing room to have a quiet moment before getting ready.

Egan O'Connor "Make it happen Seamus" was all Egan said as he stood to get drink from his personal stock. "If you boys want one before you go, feel free. You have done well. But, we need to act quickly and specifically." He told them as he turned to face them, "these next few weeks are going to separate the men from the boys." He added with a smirk. Chicago was at a tipping point and the next few days would decide which players would remain in the game, and who would in al likelihood end up with a new pair of shoes......cement shoes.
