[FIN] Calling the Shot

Yuri just shrugged it off when she shook her head and looked at the shorts a moment. The man being rather unsure if they would fit him but.. OH WELL. Once she'd left he exchanged his wet pants for the shorts.

He then went looking for Dove, peeking his head into her bedroom as she looked around for Lovey.

After a few minutes of looking around, the girl began to panic and searched her room more thoroughly, still calling out the eevee's name, though with a much more worried tone. However, after finally resorting to throwing her own closet door open, she sighed heavily in relief and bent to scoop the little eevee to her, nearly crushing her against her chest as she buried her face in her fur.

Lovey squirmed to a more 'comfortable' position, her eyes wide and blinking as the girl cried into her fur. Confused, but feeling terrible for making her trainer and friend worry so horribly, the little pokemon crooned softly and licked at Dove's face, pawing at her shoulder to show her she was there.... even if she was incredibly confused.

Yuri just watched her with wide eyes as she went about the room frantically searching for her Eevee. And once she fond her... started crying hysterically. The man sighing long and hard as the drunk girl was starting to get less fun. She needed something to do. Something to distract herself.

"C'moooooon," he said as he finally stepped into her room, took her by the arm and lead her back into the living room.

"How about a movie or something..." he said as he turned on the tv and began to rummage through her collection of DVDs. ... uh. What to even watch. Yuri had no idea. He didn't know 95% of these flicks she had as her tastes were very different from his.

Thus he just chose something at random and popped it in.

She calmed, after mumbling something about Team Rocket breaking in and stealing Lovey away a few times, and sat the eevee aside and Yuri pulled her back to the living room. Lovey blinked a few times, her head tipping heavily to one side in pure confusion, before she followed the humans and perched on the arm of the armchair closest to the fireplace.

With a few sniffles, Dove let herself be led, then flopped onto the couch as Yuri messed with her movie collection and television--which were thankfully already set to her specific needs and would be easily navigated.

Her eyes, instead of being drawn to the TV, were instead drawn to the fireplace, which for now was dark and empty, aside from only a log or two. With a little effort, she pushed herself up again, and moved to her bag, then released Sparky into the room. "Hey, you, can you make us a fire please?" she asked him playfully, pointing to the fireplace. The typhlosion took a moment's pause to look her over, curious and wary of her demeanor, but then lit the logs in the fireplace with a breath. However, once that was done and he moved to look at the girl again, his eyes caught sight of Yuri, and his muscles tensed, a low, rumbling growl started in his chest, his eyes narrowing at the man.

Once the DVD was in and running, Yuri turned to go to the couch. Not really batting an eye at the Typhlosion that was standing there and growling at him. Yuri simply passed him by.

"Cut it out, Sparkle, everything's fine," the man muttered before flopping onto the sofa next to Dove.

Sparky's eyes widened a little at the man's 'nickname', then narrowed into slits, as the fire along his neck exploded. This common man wouldn't be allowed near his mistress, especially not in whatever her inebriated mood was. The large typhlosion leapt forward, one paw raised and claws ready to swipe at Yuri...

...until Dove quickly returned him, her eyes wide. ".....his name's not Sparkle...." she pouted, her expression serious. Why did everyone make fun of her pokemon's names....

Yuri didn't look at all concerned as the Typhlosion's temper literally exploded and he raised a paw to strike him. No he just sat there with his arms folded behind his head, blinking at him with an indifferent expression. And then the beast disappeared. Oh well.

"Huh? ... Did I say that?"

He hadn't even realized that he'd mispronounced the Pokemon's name.

She crossed her arms, now frowning at her feet and the soaked through pants she wore. "Yes..." she mumbled, but sighed, letting it go as best she could. No bad things tonight. Only fun.

As she uncrossed her arms, she frowned again at the shirt as it stuck to her torso, and with a frustrated huff, she removed it in one smooth motion, before dropping it to the floor. Yuri was watching TV anyway, she thought as she crossed to her bedroom. She did cross her arms over her middle to hide her scars, however, until she disappeared into her room to change.

After a few minutes, she finally emerged, now in an oversized tshirt and leggings, and dropped onto the couch, her head dropping to his arm as she flopped over against him. "Hey, I like this movie..."

Yuri was indeed watching TV until she got up and started walking away. He opened his mouth to say something until Dove tossed her shirt across the room... leaving him to gawk for a moment before he shut his mouth and looked back at the tv again. Okay never mind.

When she reappeared and flopped down next to him, she would see him peering at the television with a bored expression.

"Yeah? Never seen it before... I don't think."

She peeked up at him from her rag doll stance, blinking as she noted the bored look on his face. Sitting up, she frowned, and reached over to poke his cheek. "It's a good movie! Cheeeeeeeer up!"

Yuri leaned back with his arms folded behind his head.

"If you say sooo. Looks kinda boring to me, but I'll take your word for it."

Thus he just waited and watched. Hoping that it didn't end up being some really sappy chick flick or something.

"Shshhhhshsh shhh shhh shhh," she hissed, waving a hand over at him. "Watch!"

The movie would turn out not a gushy romantic flick as he had feared, but instead proved to be much more action packed, though, of course, held enough share of romance to make it worthy of Dove's movie collection.

Though she had seen the movie plenty of times, Dove found herself giggling at the most random of events, though she sobered--not really-- at the movie's more serious points, most notably one specific scene that on a normal day would have her blushing and avoiding eye contact with the others around her--though it was actually an incredibly romantic and passionate point of the film.

Her legs pulled up onto the couch, the girl sat her chin on her knees, no longer leaning on the man at her side, her arms wrapped around her shins, her eyes taking in every detail now that she knew it wasn't just a device used for movies. At least, she kinda thought so.

Without moving, she asked quietly, "Hey, did you know that's real? People actually do that in real life...Just like that...I think..." Her expression remained quiet and serious, almost longing, though she didnt take her eyes from the screen.

Yuri didn't really move much from his relaxed position on the couch as they watched the movie. His expression remaining that of indifference though his eyes widened a bit in interest a few times at the more action packed scenes. Cause... fighting... heck yeah.

The more romantic scenes though drew another unreadable response though.

But when Dove spoke up, his attention remained focused mostly on the movie though he did answer her.

"Yeah? How do you know?"

His question received a pause, then a quiet shrug. Nope, noooot telling him that nope nope nope.

Lovey, deciding that the girl was finally calm enough now that the movie had reached its peak, curled up into a corner of the cushy armchair, for now, content to leave her in Yuri's care. Though she did wonder where Repede was.

At her silence, Yuri's gaze slowly slid towards her. The man then turning over to lean against the back of the sofa with his elbow to face her.

"Not gonna say, huh?" he said with a grin.
