[RAID ORP] Prepare for the Worst

"Onward it is, then!" The peppy elite replied with renewed vigor, and a renewed pointing gesture aimed at the path ahead of them.

Harvard didn't spare another verbal response. Instead she suppressed any sound of frustration with a long breath and kept her eye out for any new obstacles to the side. At least those juvenile trainers had been short on Pokemon for riding, so the convoy by now was doing a fine job at leaving them behind in the proverbial and literal dust.

The remainder of the drive was thankfully far less eventful. Eventually, the small vehicle caravan would reach the desert's edge, and pass through the cover of some trees. At that point, everyone on board would be instructed to recall any Pokemon still guarding them from the outside, and soon after they would be popping back out from the trees and onto paved roads. Their direction turned west from there.

Several minutes later, they turned a final curve, and a sleepy city came into view. "Ladies and gentlemen," their driver called so those in the back could hear him. He was much easier to hear now with actual pavement beneath the tires. "Welcome to the home of Team Rocket Outpost Number 9462-742049D." He almost smirked at the ridiculous number. "But where you'll all be staying, you can just call it the old Ambergris outpost."

There was a long pause. The driver leaned a little closer in his seat to Becca and Harvard. "We uh... We did remember to pack some dusters... right?"

KO peered out of the window, lips pursing slightly and curving downward.

Ambergris.

They were staying in Ambergris.

Last time he'd been here he'd found Countess, and he was not currently in the mood for more creepy surprises. Just at the moment he rather regretted his penchant for horror movies, though at least it made him genre savvy he supposed. Perhaps he should have brought a sleeping bag with him, he didn't want to think what the sleeping arrangements might be like. If all else failed though he could sleep on Viceroy.

On top of everything else his head hurt from the nasty cut he'd taken during proceedings and he could feel dried blood crusted down the side of his face and on the collar of his uniform. At least Kaiser was in wash form, not that it made him feel very much better in the great scheme of things.

Giving a little sigh the usually smooth cool trainee sat in gloomy silence, waiting to see their final destination.

Aulus was no more impressed thank KO but other than the pain of minor injuries his concerns were rather different, namely Claire and Alex especially the latter. Looking after the head of tech was his self-appointed job but he hadn't seen him since the sirens started going off. He knew that the Elite was far too valuable to TR to have been put at risk but still, he'd feel better if he were here. Claire was rather less of a concern, mainly because he knew perfectly well that she could look after herself. Still, he'd swap her for her over bubbly Becca in a heartbeat if he could or Harvard for that matter regardless of the security chief's competence.

Scowling darkly at nothing in particular he scratched the tiny Spinarak in his lap and waited. "Sodding fantastic," he muttered under his breath.

While everyone else in the car seemed to deflate at their new location, Zacharie was ecstatic. Ambergris was home to many different types of psychic and ghost pokemon, what was not to like about that?! Jabari and Essex were sure to have fun exploring the area and maybe he'd be able to catch another pokemon! "This is where I found Essex, remember?" He said as he tapped Jerome's arm to catch his attention. Well...at least that's what he thought he said. Really it came out sort of like, "Ssssssss Esssex, 'member?" As he lightly slapped a hand against his friend's arm. Man, moving and talking certainly took a lot of effort. In front of him Jabari was snickering,

"Wooh brotha' So outta it." Tremain agreed floating up next to Jabari to peer down at Zacharie.
"Yeah, he's n'pain ya guys." Jerome told them, making a gesture for both of them to get out of Zacharie's face. then looked at the younger Rocket.
"Looks Like we'll be chillin' here fer a while." He told him. "cool digs."
That sounded almost sarcastic as he looked around the broken down city. but hey, it wasn't like he wasn't use to this.

Jabari laughed at his trainer's vague glare but moved out of the way all the same. "Mm." Zacharie agreed with a nod, not noticing the sarcasm at all. He, personally, thought that this was going to be a lot more fun than being stranded in the desert. "....Ghoooooosts and stuff." He muttered, wiggling the fingers of his uninjured hand in a 'spooky' manner. "'Ots of plantsss." He slurred with a large, carefree smile before he promptly slumped over and fell asleep against Jerome's side, head resting on the Agent's shoulder. He deserved some sleep dammit!

Nikki remained quiet and brooding upon the announcement of their new home. Not exactly the place she would choose, but she was indifferent to it. Didn't seem any worse from living out in the desert anyway.

With a cocked brow she watched and listened to Jerome interact with some young guy she didn't know. Yeah, that kid was definitely out of it.

She went back to sulking over her bird.
