At last, the project was complete! Ahead of schedule, and perfect, just as it should be. The call for all of the ground crew to meet up in the tent was not unexpected, Floren had figured they'd want to get everyone together for some sort of speech and possibly a celebration as well. After all, they'd all done a tremendous amount of work in a very short amount of time! If that didn't call for a celebration, he wasn't sure what did.

He listened as Gordin stumbled through their speech, patience dwindling quickly. Security blips? Couldn't they be any more specific? He was going to be very cross if it turned out to just be more reporters sneaking in. Once Gordin had dismissed them, Floren opted to head over to the Gamma and Delta sites to speak with Blurin instead. Perhaps they would be more specific about what was going on.

He approached the supervisor, then dipped his head in greeting. He'd wait for others to join the group before asking any questions- surely others would have the same ones, if not more that he hadn't thought of.

The ground crew operations were over before they knew it- and Mihail couldn't help but feel like they really hadn't done that much themselves. They'd helped with some of the ground work, sure, but it seemed like toward the end of the operation things kept getting finished before they could truly help out, which left them getting endlessly shuffled from launch site to launch site. It wasn't really bad, just... well, he wasn't sure what it was.

"Lo-luh-looks like we ge-get some cake." He squeezed Knetic's hand in his own, admittedly a little excited about that. Aligaa discouraged sweets. Buuut Aligaa wasn't around, now was he? Mihail's excitement fell a little as Gordin addressed the group of volunteers. Eventually his expression twisted into a frown. Security blips? Something about the way Gordin was acting made things seem a lot more serious than they were letting on.

"Hm... C--cuh-come on, let's g-go talk to Gordin." He nodded his head in the direction the supervisor had gone. "Ma-maybe after we get some ccc-cake, though." He was sure Knetic would want some first. He definitely wasn't insisting on it for his own desires, nope.

A security breach issue made Poe's skin crawl and the worst come to mind. Had they realized the rebels were stealing from them? But, as they spoke, it became clear that wasn't... exactly what was happening. They would say if they thought it was rebels, wouldn't they? Was it some other invader or enemy of the military? Poe was still going to try to investigate though. Information was good! Still, the greenblood couldn't help but feel disappointed and put off. He had expected a celebration after all their hard work getting the sites up, not this...

"Maybe the supervisor on Gamma or Delta has some info..." he mumbled to his companion, reaching for her hand idly.

Cynril had been waiting for the sugary treats. The mutantblooded child surely didn't expect this meeting. Weren't they celebrating their hard work? Not that he deserved it, he hadn't done exactly much. Whoops.

He had been busy... Playing but busy nevertheless.

His anxious nerves switched on once the worries had been told. Oh no! Had someone seen a rebel around here? Hopefully not. What would Byakko say if they were found out?

Wh-what would she do to me if it was m-my fault?! The child mentally screamed. So he decided to “help” with the investigation to try and cover up any mistakes he had made.

Despite the fact Masoal had barely lifted a finger to help with the actual space launch, the entire reason they'd presumably come here in the first place, he was all too ready to call this adventure over once the work was complete. He didn't need a party, didn't need cake (even if he probably would have liked it), and the fact that Emiola continued to con him into staying when all he wanted to do was go was severely frustrating. Funnily enough, she didn't actually have to try that hard.

"What is going on?" he asked her, his voice a faint hiss. "I don't care about this." As they filed into the crowd gathering somewhere for some reason he hadn't paid attention to, he managed to bump into Floren.

In true Masoal fashion, he puffed up instead of apologizing.

    "Whoawhoawhoa--!"

In true Emiola fashion, she bumbled right into Masoal (after he bumbled into Floren). The tealblood rubbed her head, but honestly? She looked perfectly fine. This entire space trip set up thing was a mess, one that Emiola had only briefly stepped foot in (if only because she had lost Masoal that one time), and she was absolutely ready to party for all the work she didn't do!

But that wasn't what was happening, and Masoal had set off because he was Masoal, and now they just domino'd into a greenblood. Good going Masoal! Good going. "Where're we even goin' bud? I thought there was goin' to be a party..." This definitely didn't look like a celebration. "I'm just as lost as you are! Ask him!" She pointed at Floren.

Ground work was done and yet Knetic felt like he truly and honestly didn't do a damn thing. It was odd to think it was all over when they'd been on this project for so long. At least he thinks it was long. He wasn't honestly counting the days, he just liked doing something different even if it meant he didn't get to touch a space ship. Not that he would ever admit that however.

"So...cake time?" he grins, squeezing Mihail's hand back. "It's time to go down on some sponge!" They could wait to talk to this Gordin guy whomever he was.

Quella Fehtan
Night: Zero
Choice: B

Quella crammed another piece of well-deserved cake into her ignorance chute, barely even chewing. She LOVED all this sweet stuff that the city-trolls seemed to take for granted. Plus, they were giving it away as a celebration of all the amazing work she'd done! Maybe she was a little sweaty and smelled a bit, but she'd had the time of her life being the best at all the dig sites.

A squeaking microphone broke through her almost chewing, and caught the blueblood with another peice a little more than halfway to her face. She glanced at the redblood who made a short speech about security blips or some such nonsense, but she kept chewing. This cake was her reward. She'd just barely swallowed as trolls began to filter into two groups.

It sounded like there was some kind of commotion happening in the gamma/delta group, so she naturally gravitated towards that side. Looked like those two tealbloods before were causing a ruckus! Trolls after Quella's heart. Masoal looked like he truly wasn't having any fun, but it also seemed like he really wanted to prove how tough he was by getting into it with a greenblood. She remembered bumping into the tealblood before, and chuckled.

Quella liked his style.

"Don't mind me" she said, crossing over to the altercation and waving at him and Emolia. She gave them a little wink as well, just to annoy the tealblood even more. "I'm just here for the cake! Feel free to carry on!"

Floren had actually zoned out a little, just listening to the crowd of trolls around him talk, and thus didn't see Masoal (and then Emiola) until it was too late. He stumbled to the side, blinking in alarm as he looked around to see what - or who - had just bumped into him. "Ah-" Two tealbloods, both seemed confused. He decided not to press the matter of the rudeness of being bumped into. He could be the better troll. "There is a party, you're just not in it right now." He pointed back at the tent, "all the party supplies are in there." Hadn't they... seen it? He narrowed his eyes. "Did you miss the announcement? There's security breaches and we are supposed to help with keeping watch now. Well, we can have cake first, I think." Judging by the fact that some other trolls had cake, they certainly seemed to be allowed to have it first.

"Ah, forgive my manners," a pointed stare at Masoal accented the word, "I'm Floren. What are your names?" His attention was drawn away when a blueblood passed through, waving at the two tealbloods - a friend? Must be. She seemed to be loaded up with cake. "If you want I could show you where it is?" Just in case they were... lost, or something. Not that the tent was hard to spot, but when one could lend assistance, one should always do so.

The cake was good! Selune loved cake, and this was far better than the stuff she had managed to make in the swamp. The swamp was not exactly the best environment for crafting baked goods, and it sure as fluff made sure Selune knew it. She had saved up to buy flour once, and the whole thing had turned into a brick what all the humidity the swamp had.

Selune groaned as Quella ran off. Well, that was the end of that totally mutual discussion on where they should go, what they should do, and the fact that they should think things out and plan ahead...

Selune timidly joined Quella as she rammed herself into a group of kids. The greenblood hesitated on the edge of the circle, not really 100% on forcing her way through. Instead she reached out a hand and pulled at Quella's tunic. "Quella," She said quietly with a frown. "You uh, you dropped your napkin." She said lamely. She didnt want to just outright admit that she wanted to stay in a group with the blueblood longer. Besides, the troll did have cake all over her mouth.

Right when they were gonna have a good good wrap-up party, (!!!) after so much stress working, stealing, and other stuff, this had to happen... Wander admittedly was a little disappointed. Mostly anxious, pretty scared, but also bummed. They couldn't even have some cake before heading out...?

Security breaches sounded serious. Did they catch onto the rebel activity? Maybe not, since they were expecting literal children to deal with the issue. And even if it was, there were plenty of rebels here to cover their tracks during this little kerfuffle.

"Hmmmm..." If Poe didn't seem upset, maybe there wasn't anything to worry about. Wander clung to his sleeve. "O-okay."

Garand Luceid
Night: 0, Choice: B

The celebratory mood as the final docking site was launched into space had been infectious. Garand and Pan had cheered right alongside the others before joining in the huge crowds filtering their way back through to the operations tent. He'd been working towards the refreshments table, mostly for the prospect of water but also because there was cake, when things took another turn.

He hadn't expected this, but from the whispers it sounded like a lot of trolls maybe had an idea of what might be going on. He cast a concerned glance to his lusus, who likewise seemed a little alarmed. If anyone had seen him helping plant transmitters without context, he or one of the other lightseekers could easily be implicated as a security risk here.

He wasn't going to get ahead of himself, though. Shaking his head, he moved over towards Bluril.

[Wallas Ziegel - Choice A (Gordin, Alpha/Beta)]

Security breaches? Well, that certainly wasn't good. Wallas hoped that the Lightseekers' "additions" to the technology weren't being classified as one of those, if they had even been detected. The decision of which zones to inspect was easy for Wallas; Alpha and Beta had been up the longest, and therefore there was the most time for people to get in and fiddle with things, or something. With that, Wallas positioned himself near Gordin, waiting for the next step.

[Dairah Vacche - Choice B (Bluril, Gamma/Delta)]

Dairah absentmindedly scratched her head at the mention of security breaches. Surely, the Lightseekers didn't count as a breach, right? Hopefully no one had noticed the transmitters. In any case, Dairah was left wondering which set of sites she should investigate. Alpha and Beta seemed like they'd be prime targets for saboteurs, given that they were first. Then again, Gamma and Delta had more people at them more recently, so maybe the saboteurs had been mostly there. That seemed to make sense, so Dairah went over to Bluril.

Tsarzi Ameroc
Day 0
Path: B, Bluril

Tsarzi headed for the main ground operations tent with the other volunteers, taking the chance to stretch a bit and crack her neck while she was at it. That was it then, all the sites were complete, tied of in a neat tidy fashion. A job well done, though they wouldn’t not see fruits for their efforts for a bit at least. She would need to keep up with the news for a bit to find out what became of their efforts here.

Tsarzi was feeling loose and satisfied with a job well done, and finally she was ready to take a break. Get a bottle of water, find somewhere quiet to mull over her thoughts, do some meditation. Maybe there was enough time left before dawn to head over to the Lightseekers Settlement to work on that. Lupos likely wouldn’t endorse that course of action, unfortunately, and she wasn’t going to get far if he was intent on keeping her in place.

Tsarzi shelved the thoughts when she arrived at the party, so to speak, considering the spread of sweets. Very sugary. She took a swipe of frosting on her finger to test it and immediately found it near unpalatable. Very sweet, too sweet. Manufactured kind of sweet. It could be stomached at times, but it didn’t not sit well in her mouth right then. She wiped her hand clean on her hip wrap and circled the tables, looking for some indication of if there was a confection free of the near poisonous levels of sugar the first had had. Her search was interrupted when it seems some concerns from upper management were being brought to light.

She listened intently, rolling the concerns around in her head. Odd, breaches in security sounded rather dire, and yet they presented this as a rather low key concern. Was it to keep them calm? Yes they were asking volunteers to assist, many of whom were children. They ought not be asking them to do anything too dangerous then. But this was the military they were walking about. They were being rather obtuse about what exactly these pings were. Incredibly unspecific and unhelpful.

What had been going on around there that might set military concerns off? Didn’t realize it until recently, meant this was ongoing but just came to their attention. Intrusion, reiterating that this was not of military in nature, some sort of outside party. Probably nothing, but still concerning due to its unknown nature.

Tsarzi’s eyes narrowed slightly.

She needed more information.

She’s been working Gamma and Delta sites most recently, they were the freshest in her mind, so she’d check those out. Briskly making her way to the table Bluril was at, she awaited further information.
