Despite the immediately recognizable expression the canine's voice, strained from lack of use over the last few months, was anything but frivolous. The tone was hushed, and for once due to true terror on an almost primal level. "Beware, Rust Prince," he began, his favorite term and title for Soraru coming easily to him now. "That which hungers behind the appetite of the gluttonous sleeps here. Be careful." And with that the tongue rolled back into itself, and the mouth was gone. It wasn't always this way with him, mind you, but when words could be spared in favor of cold, bitter silence to let Soraru figure it all out himself the canine would spare no thought in doing so. As it stood it was clear from voice and word choice that whatever slumbered here was a danger and a threat that the creature assumed Soraru would stick his d**k into. Not in the literal sense, but in the very metaphorical, phallic way. tab The pool of blood rippled as the dog finished, measured waves at even distances extending from the point of origin, the center, towards the edge in a careful path. A few moments later the one-time king would feel the air of something nearby, something that desired and hungered his flesh more than anything else it could find. The bloodthirst was everpresent, without an origin, as if the thing were in some way omnipresent which would be strange, given such things were made for, and wielded by, gods. From the darkness of the many buildings and the depths of the well itself the boy would see something begin to make its way towards him, a being of color and vibrancy that couldn't have survived long lest the old-man restocked his supply from time to time. Shaped like a woman, with slightly exaggerated breasts and a pinched face, the creature hobbled towards the shore of the gore lake, and instead of perhaps reaching down to touch it the creature fell to its hands and feet and began to drink, drink for all he was worth.

Zuhra's distraction via his clone seemed to work efficiently enough for his attack to land decently well on the big bad red Goblemon, having bit deep into it's arm and caused to to panic flee. Zuhra would leap down from the roof with scythe in hand and his gold and silver armor covering his body as he chased after the shadow cloud into the nearby building, his eyes quickly adjusting to the dark with his natural nightvision.
Meanwhile, his crow clone that was being attacked by the blue Goblemon that wasn't currently tangoing with Lupus charged chakra into the palm of it's hands which expanded and began to violently spin.
The clone quickly shifted to the right of the Goblemon as he lunged out, using Tabi Shift to move at shunshin speed as he launched both of the spinning chakra sawblades in hopes of sawing it in half at point blank, but should they have missed, it would attempt to redirect the blades back at it for a flanking attack before they dissipated.

Sadly his surprise attack had missed, the rotten corrupt earth tearing right between them as they split apart swiftly. One of the creatures went straight towards Zuhra's clone, attempting to slash into it, clearly mistaking it for the real man based on the ferocity of the attack. Shifting his piercing gaze onto the remaining Goblemon facing him Lupus merely shifted his Gunbai to the side before shifting it so the fan was flared upwards like a large shield to his side. As the Goblemon began forming fire to launch at him he gave a dark look before merely giving a grunt before he took a single powerful step forward, the earth cracking beneath his foot as he seemingly slowly moved his Gunbai forward, energy exploding within him as it began to trail down his arm and into the handle of his nightmarish weapon. After a split second he swung his Gunbai; causing the nearby area to ripple as the wind sliced around it.
Assuming nothing would change his weapon would seemingly easily smother out the flame, dispersing it into nothingness as if it was nothing but a single ember. With this done he would take another step forward, this time channeling as much strength into his feet and calves as he could. Once more the ground cracked as he shot forward, his massive frame rushing towards the monster like a tidal wave encroaching upon the ground. A massive amount of energy began to well both within his own body and also his weapon, his biceps bulging as veins began to appear on the surface of his arm.
"Come now little Goblemon! I want to at-least have some fun before you die." Despite his words he was as calm as can be, one of the sad side effects of locking away ones emotions was losing the ability to truly enjoy the fight. However for now it would have to be done to ensure no mistakes happen due to being distracted. His smoldering amber eyes remained locked on the creature before him, seemingly staring directly into the soul of the creature due to pure intensity. At the apex of his strength he would swing his Gunbai at an angle towards the monster who'd attempted to escape him.
Assuming he wasn't able to move out of the way in time the Gunbai would slam down painfully into the collarbone of the monster, hopefully leaving enough of an opening for Lupus to shift his weight and deliver a massive rising palm strike directly into the throat and jaw of the creature, shoving its head upwards and into the Gunbai that was still being firmly held by Lupus' right hand. While doing this Lupus would briefly shift his eyes over to look at Zuhra to make sure nothing was happening he could help with.

Whether or not this is true is difficult to say at best, given none were meant to have survived, but the pale white leather that covers the faces of the weapon definitely do look and feel like stretched human flesh. With the steel handle twisted and cast in such a way that it looks like human faces are screaming out from the shaft and the bladded edge of the Gunbai seeming to reflect light in odd, twisted ways it is clear that whatever its origins it was clearly designed for fear. Yet the truly horrific parts come when Usugi is awoken, caused by fifty [50] Chakra or Stamina points being spent as a sacrifice to the thing that guards within. tab → The Howling Shards ► Water and wind, fire, earth and lightning powers controlled by the wielder find their techniques altered thematically when used alongside this weapon. Wind howls with the screams of the dead and damned, with fire morphing into the expressions of those who died in fire. Water is blacker than sin and carries with it the reek of fetid blood while electricity snarles into demonic forms. The earth, tormented by its power, is black and rotted with decay, carrying with it the sweet stench of death. In effect techniques being used inspire a negative effect, a chilling, dark energy that borders the unholy power of corruption. C - ranked Shadow damage is constantly applied alongside the damage of the attacks, something that bypasses Defense and does half again [50% More] more Durability damage than before. This effect lasts for three [3] posts, with an upkeep of 30 Chakra or Stamina per post after. tab → The Crawling Chaos ► Use of this weapon comes at a cost as the mind begins to rot with each post sustaining the evil power of Usagi. For every three [3] posts being used apply one [1] point of Spiritual corruption upon the body. At every ten [10] points of Corruption the body gains an Echo Intrusion affliction. These Intrusions alter the physical body and emotional state of the figure in some way, while providing a bonus in its place. These may be submitted as "custom techniques", though in all cases there is a negative as equal in strength as the positive, and will include physical alterations.

xxxxxI can't leave those two dunderheads to try and fight those things on their own. Oh, what to do though? Masako lay still hidden in the bush, facing an internal dilemma. She could stay hidden and safely out of sight, leaving Zuhra and Lupus in an unfair fight or she could try and figure out a way to keep the other monster distracted long enough for them to defeat their own monsters. Masako put her hands on the sides of her head and tried to concentrate, drowning out the noise of the fighting. At the very least, she could get closer to the fighting in case they needed help, she though to herself.
Slowly, Masako began to slide along the snow from bush to bush, hoping to get closer to the fight and get a better view. It was worthless trying to plan some kind of back up if she couldn't see how the fight was progressing currently. Eventually, Masako arrived at the corner of one of the outermost buildings and peered around it. She still couldn't see much but hesitated from getting any closer for a moment. It was then that Masako noticed the hovering ball of light above the battlefield. It seemed to be flashing erratically, as if trying to draw attention to itself. Masako looked around for a way to get a better look and spotted what appeared to be a stack of old barrels up against one of the buildings. She skirted across the corner of the battlefield, hoping her small stature would help her avoid detection till she made it to the barrels. She made it across and quickly began to scramble up the barrels and fought to climb her way onto the roof of one of the buildings where she began waving to the ball of light in hopes that it would notice her.

The ball of light continued flashing erratically despite Masako's gesturing. Instead, it flew the opposite direction, diving in through the door of the building Zuhra disappeared into in his haste to follow the shadow on the ground. However, beside her a different one, light blue in color, flitted up from between the few shingles that still remained on the roof she stood upon. It was also blinking worriedly, but tucked itself into a loose fold of cloth in Masako's clothes. At its presence, she would feel a small amount of warmth radiate from it, not burning in the least.
The inside of the building wasn't pitch black, as the faint glow of a variety of creatures provided a bit of light to see by. More of the orbs of light as well as others--including a few that looked like the young sprite with Kaileer in their earlier interaction--sat in cages or glass containers with barely a reaction to Zuhra's presence. However, because the house was not particularly huge, he was able to see the creature he'd been chasing reform from the ground, clutching the arm that hung limply at its side. As it did, something big shifted behind it, followed by a pair of burning orange eyes fixing themselves on Zuhra. A low, rumbling growl emitted from it as it pushed itself upright. Once it reached full height, it stood at least Lupus's height and easily twice as wide. The dim lighting revealed red skin, just like its smaller counterpart.
The massive creature took a step toward Zuhra, rattling the ancient floor, as it dragged a similar sized mace from behind it. The smaller yokai that had led Zuhra to this monster cackled harshly and jabbed a finger at the vampire. "Humans need to learn when not to meddle!"
As for the clone, the yokai swung its head around, hissing at him before flinging itself up and into the air. It brandished its claws once more, and its hands appeared to become coated in dark chakra. From its higher vantage point, it dropped toward the clone throwing its clawed hands forward to slice him to ribbons. It also meant that if the saw blades continued following the yokai, the clone would risk getting hit by them as well..
Meanwhile, with Lupus, the beastly creature let out another defiant shriek, brandishing blade-like claws as it took the hit from the giant fan instead of dodging. There was an audible crunch as the gunbai clearly broke at least a few bones, but the creature took that opportunity to latch onto the fist swung at it following the first strike. Assuming Lupus didn't pull away before his attack hit, its claws would dig between the plates of Lupus's armor, and the metal quickly began heating up. If he didn't find a way to remove the creature fast, the hand would end up roasting to a crisp before long.

The building Zuhra chased the monster into was surprisingly not as dark as he had expected, and he was quite intrigued to find it full of the little light ball creatures like the one outside, speaking of which, had followed him in. Now was not the time for that however, so the thoughts were pushed into the back of his mind as he focused on the more pressing matters. As he was coming to a stop, he funneled some of his will into the scythe it and underwent it's transformation as the mass of shadows reformed into the red skinned Goblemon.
There was a sound of something heavy shifting about, and soon thereafter two piercing glowing orange orbs aimed themselves at Zuhra as the massive figure stood upright with a low growl of some sorts rumbling out from it's chest. Seeing the size of this thing, Zuhra couldn't help but let an amused whistle escape past his lips as he eyed the thing up and down as it took a single stride towards the Ancestor with a mace in tow. The miniature version of this beast cackled aloud and jeered at Zuhra before making the statement that humans needed to not meddle which caused him to laugh in return, albeit slightly forced.
Bringing the scythe to his face he would take a bite out of the meaty handguard and begin to chew while attempting to speak at the same time,❝Oh, well then we're settled here, I'm a Vampire, so we don't even need to fight, right?❞He would swallow the substance in his mouth and gain an incredible boost to his power and athleticism. Zuhra might have been playing it a bit carefree, but he wasn't as laxed as he was letting on, and his back foot slightly shifted as he readied himself to make a quick retreat if need be with the use of Tabi Shift.
Meanwhile, the clone and the other Goblemon were still going at it, and the clone had successfully managed to evade the first blow and watched with bated breath as it jumped into the air to gain the height advantage before making another run at the clone. The clone would wait for the Goblemon to get near, and before it would be struck, it would burst into a murder of crows and rush into and past the Goblemon in attempts to debilitate it long enough for the spinning blades to rain down and end the creature's life, and regardless of the outcome, it would reform itself between it and Lupus.

Unlike his previous attempt, the Goblemon this time decided to fight him head on, throwing defense to the wind by merely brandishing its claws and allowing his Gunbai to collide with a horrifying crunch upon it's chest, clearly crushing more than a few bones beneath it's weight. With a grunt Lupus would shift his weight back mid palm-strike, leaning his body back instead of continuing with his attack. With a grunt he watched the creature lunge forward, attempting to grab onto him frantically. Taking a step backwards he allowed his body to shift forward to a more stable stance before swinging his Gunbai to the side slightly, moving it to a more free grip in his hand as he looked calmly at the creature in front of him. Even despite dodging the seemingly suicidal attack from the monster he didn't allow himself to feel any relief, instead allowing the adrenaline to pump through his veins as he allowed a slight grin to tug at his lips before it dissapeared behind the emotionless facade.
Evidently unarmed combat wasn't going to be a smart idea given the blade like claws the creature had, armor could only defend the body so far when it was so easy to slip between the weak-points. Reaching with the hand not using his gunbai into his pack he retrieved a single silver bell. Holding it up he gave it a few rings before lunging forward with his Gunbai once more, this time coming from the side in an attempt to crush the ribs and side of the torso, throwing the bell into the air he retrieved from his back a Christmas cookie before quickly chowing down on it. Feeling a portion of his stamina return to him he gave a deep exhale, staring down the creature in front of him, this time without entering close range combat with it. One of the many benefits of a Gunbai was the sheer size, giving the user the ability to attack from a safe distance while also utilizing the Gunbai for defense if necessary.

Whether or not this is true is difficult to say at best, given none were meant to have survived, but the pale white leather that covers the faces of the weapon definitely do look and feel like stretched human flesh. With the steel handle twisted and cast in such a way that it looks like human faces are screaming out from the shaft and the bladded edge of the Gunbai seeming to reflect light in odd, twisted ways it is clear that whatever its origins it was clearly designed for fear. Yet the truly horrific parts come when Usugi is awoken, caused by fifty [50] Chakra or Stamina points being spent as a sacrifice to the thing that guards within. tab → The Howling Shards ► Water and wind, fire, earth and lightning powers controlled by the wielder find their techniques altered thematically when used alongside this weapon. Wind howls with the screams of the dead and damned, with fire morphing into the expressions of those who died in fire. Water is blacker than sin and carries with it the reek of fetid blood while electricity snarles into demonic forms. The earth, tormented by its power, is black and rotted with decay, carrying with it the sweet stench of death. In effect techniques being used inspire a negative effect, a chilling, dark energy that borders the unholy power of corruption. C - ranked Shadow damage is constantly applied alongside the damage of the attacks, something that bypasses Defense and does half again [50% More] more Durability damage than before. This effect lasts for three [3] posts, with an upkeep of 30 Chakra or Stamina per post after. tab → The Crawling Chaos ► Use of this weapon comes at a cost as the mind begins to rot with each post sustaining the evil power of Usagi. For every three [3] posts being used apply one [1] point of Spiritual corruption upon the body. At every ten [10] points of Corruption the body gains an Echo Intrusion affliction. These Intrusions alter the physical body and emotional state of the figure in some way, while providing a bonus in its place. These may be submitted as "custom techniques", though in all cases there is a negative as equal in strength as the positive, and will include physical alterations.

xxxxx Masako continued to wave frantically at the small orb of light as it disappeared into the same building that Zuhra appeared to chase one of the monsters. Masako almost yelled out for Zuhra to be careful when another one of the small light orbs appeared from the shingles beneath her feet. This one was slightly different in color but still pulsed with the same sense of urgency. This orb however managed to bury itself deep in the folds of Masako's clothing, instantly filling her with warmth. It was just enough to block out the cold without burning her.
Masako looked out back into the space between the buildings, looking out just in time to see, and hear, Lupus' weapon make contact with his opponent resulting in a resounding cracking of bones. Unfortunately, it seemed to barely phase the monster. It seemed to Masako that she would be of little use in this scenario if Lupus was having a hard time.
Returning her attention to the small orb of light, Masako gently touched the part of her clothes where the orb has nestled itself before searching the roof for a way inside. Maybe there were more of the small orbs inside the building she was standing on top of. Near the corner of the building appeared to be a small gap in the roof where it had partially collapsed under the weight of the snow. Masako peered inside, not finding any discernible light. She made her way further into the gap in the roof, being careful not to make too much noise in case more of the monsters were waiting inside.

The orb of light hidden in Masako's clothing seemed to shiver as she climbed through the hole in the roof. Save for the light that made it through the gaps in the shingles and reflected off some small piles of snow, the room was dark and still, for the time being. A few piles of rotting wood lay strewn about; perhaps at one point they had been furniture. A broken door to one side of the room revealed a hallway that led to the rest of the house, where something could be heard shuffling around.
Unfortunately, the yokai facing Lupus had spent all its strength in the suicide attack. While it probably could have continued fighting, the blow from the last attack left it weak and it didn't have a chance to dodge the second attack. The creature was sent spiraling as the gunbai collided with its side and it fell limp on the ground.
Meanwhile, the yokai attacking the clone whirled just in time to meet the spinning blades. However, its claws were only able to fend off one of the deadly wheels, crossing its hands in front of it so the chakra coating the claws could repel it. The other bit and tore clean through one of its arms, letting it black blood spill onto the ground as the creature shrieked. Distracted by its situation, it did not chase after the clone.
And as for Zuhra, he was in a bit of a situation himself. The injured yokai continued cackling from behind its massive leader as the monster swung the mace horizontally at the vampire, which, in turn due to the tight space, cleaved through one of the cages in the room, sending debris flying and consequently slamming into the creature that was within. The small creature, which looked like it was made of twigs and leaves, didn't stand a chance against the blow. The cage didn't stop the swing though, and it continued with the intention of hitting Zuhra.
The crash from within the ancient house was clearly audible to everyone in the area.

xxxxx Masako could feel the small orb shaking in her cloak as she entered into the small space in the attic. Masako pressed her hand against her cloak to hold it tight to the small orb in hopes of keeping it warm which she believed was why it was shaking. She proceeded to search the attic, combing over the piles of wood that covered the floor.
After a few moments, her attention was drawn to door at the far end of the room. There was a shuffling sound in the house that was emanating from the door. Having already seen the monsters outside, Masako wasn't ready to take any chances. She reached to the side of her backpack, drawing the thin Wakizashi strapped to it. Slowly, Masako crept up to the doorway, trying to make as little noise as possible as she gently pushed the door open, ready to jump back at a moments notice.

Today was a sad day, it would seem these neanderthals couldn't be reasoned with. The little one cackled behind the protection of it's master, and that appeared to instigate the Oni into attacking. The Oni swung it's mace in a sweeping fashion aimed for Zuhra, but along the way it hit one of the pixie cages and completely obliterated it.
Seeing as he was prepared though, Zuhra reacted with reasonable time and flashed back to the entrance of the building before taunting the creature with a smug condescending look as he rushed out back into the cold, leaping high over the now disarmed (bah dum tss) Gobelmon and landing near his clone which was located near Lupus.
Speaking of the crow clone, it would disperse again, and murder would fly up to the rooftop of the building it's creator had just emerged from, taking perches on all sides to keep a lookout for if any of them tried to bounce.

Evidently the Goblemon facing him had finally exhausted all its strength against him, simply allowing Lupus to send it flying away with his Gunbai, landing with a dull thud on the ground as it laid there seemingly lifelessly, though he wasn't sure. With a grunt he stepped forward, stomping down with his massive armored foot, crushing its skull so long as it wasn't still alive or nothing intervened. Alongside this he would simply stalk forward like a predator chasing his prey, however his attention shifted to Zuhra rushing over to them from the building he'd previously entered.
As Lupus walked forward he came closer to Zuhra, speaking in a low tone before stepping forward. "I'll take care of this one-armed Goblemon then we can focus on whatever is chasing you. Deal?" Assuming both he and Zuhra agreed he would look forward once more, judging the distance between everything swiftly. Assuming he would have enough time to enact his plan he would burst forward with powerful steps, allowing his Gunbai to trail behind him gripped strongly in his right hand. After approaching the Goblemon assuming nothing had counterattacked him he would put his grip up as far as possible before he would swing his Gunbai sideways into its ribs from side it's arm was missing from. However he wouldn't stop there, reaching forward to grapple it's remaining arm in an attempt to cut off both angles of escape. Assuming either landed and did it's job he would attempt to follow up with another powerful strike this time coming from a headbutt, however just as he began his attack his liquid armor formed a powerful metal helmet to aid him in his attempt to crush the creatures skill with his own.
Regardless of what happened following that up he would release the monster and retreat back to not get caught alone against whatever was chasing Zuhra. Alongside this he would allow his Gunbai to slowly revert back into it's normal form so as to no longer corrupt his mind since clearly it wasn't having any effect on the monsters before him.

There was a crunch from somewhere down the hall from Masako, maybe from broken glass or something, and then silence once more. But from where she was, she still could not see whatever was wandering the room at the other end of the house.
However, another ball of light, this one a pinkish color, floated up from some broken boards about half way down the hall.
On Zuhra's part, there was some crashing from the building as he left it behind that was likely the Oni either thrashing in a fit of rage, or just struggling to fit through the tight space. Or both. A moment later, though, all went silent. And then a large black shadow emerged through the door, standing out against the bright white snow as it crept toward the pair outside.
Meanwhile, as Lupus stepped down down on the creature's head, regardless if it was still alive, the moment the mask it wore shattered, the body dissolved into nothing, leaving only a smug of black blood in its wake.
As for the attack against the one-armed yokai, it just hissed in fury and jumped back with fairly impressive speed despite its current state (meaning neither the grapple nor headbutt got the chance to happen, so you get the stamina back), and retaliated with a mighty swing of its remaining claws. However, even if Lupus dodged back from them, he would likely be surprised by the blades of chakra that were flung from the creature's fingertips, trying to sever him in twain. Or at least deal some decent damage.

xxxxx Masako peered cautiously down the hallway, still hiding behind the door frame in the safety of the attic. She backed away from the dark hall for a second, contemplating a return back outside to safety, or at least to where she could still see Zuhra and Lupus. Masako shook her head side to side and slapped her cheeks, trying to pep herself up and get the courage to continue down the hallway.
Slowly, Masako tiptoed down the hallway, pressing him body up against the wall. She could still feel the warmth of the sprite in her clothing. Suddenly, a pink glow began to fill the hallway, illuminating the small space. It appeared to be another sprite like the one already hiding in her cloak. Masako quickly crossed the hallway, trying to make as little noise as possible as she used her cloak to block the light from the sprite. Standing there in the middle of the hallway, Masako froze and peered down the hallway, drawn to the sound of crunching. Pulling the sprites close, Masako moved down the hall towards the sound of the noise. Cautiously, Masako peered through the door frame into the room where she though the sound came from.

When ZUhra had retreated outside it was pleasant to see that Lupus not only was handling himself fine, but that he had enough wits about him to be able to understand that there was a bigger threat inside the building which made itself ever the more evident by the massive crash from within the building. Lupus decided to quickly finish off the one wounded by the clone to alleviate them of any distractions before the boss fight but all didn't seem to go as well as planned, the wounded Goblemon wasn't ready to part ways just yet and put up a struggle here at it's final moments which bought it enough time for the big, the bad, and the ugly to worm his way out of the building in the form of a shadow.
Zuhra clicked his tongue out of annoyance as soon as he started to see the shadow emerge, he didn't have much time here and his options weren't the greatest. He would quickly weigh them in his mind before ultimately deciding to wait again. Taking a low stance, the young Ancestor poised himself for attack, ready to cleave whatever he set his eyes on in two in quite literally the blink of an eye.
