Stringer and Killa6 have tight Baek's. So does Machinez.

It's a shame I haven't played Stringer or Killa6 yet.

I see Baek's b+3 game is very fun. the tripple SS off of b+3 sets up for so much easy damage...

I really think Baek's about to be my secondary alond with Lili. after see the b+3 SS in action, it really makes alot of attacks whiff...

EDIT: I just happen to look on Youtube for some Baek vids and uh...i'm not seeing many. I've only found about 2-3 of them (including combo vid from TZ.) but overall...i'm feeling there aren't many Baek players out there.

He's wicked tough to play. There used to be this solid, kinda nasty Baek player in Korea though.

any word on what happened to him?

and i've pretty much mastered the 3+4 juggle. Just need to get the juggles in mixed in.

There aren't much Baek players out there. But there are some, nonetheless. I might just start to learn how to play with him because he's so rare. With the exception of Law and Steve, everyone I use isn't all that popular ( Bruce , Jin, King, Lei). I'm sick of seeing Hwoarang and Nina, though.

As for Jinpachi, he's not unbeatable. Maybe you guys should make a thread titled " Ask Icege how to beat Jinpachi".

bobs and Ninas? really? truthfully around here there's a mix of players. I only know of 1 good bob player. everyone else kinda has their signature character. (seriously...most of the serious players kinda just stick to 1 person...then the regular random on casuals.)

if anything, I see a small amount of DJ players. overall, we all just stick to 1. Never really noticed it till you said something about it.

and Baek's sexy d/b+2 kills downed clueless scrubs. it's Baek's answer to Paul's d+2...minus the catch on backroll.

Baek rapes scrubs for free now. Just fish for d/f+2 and do 1,2,3~f, 1,2,3~f, 1,2,3~f, d+2, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, d+4,3,3,3~f, etc etc.

Or if you're a G, d/f+2, [3]+4~f, N+4~f, N+4~f, d+2, d+4,3,3,3~f nonsense.

I've been messing with him a little bit. Mainly just fishing for launches, triple sidestepping, and abusing his new oki.

Killa6 is ATL and Stringer is NYC. Machinez is OKC iirc.

I hate baek's long a** juggles. Until you fight him regularly, its hard to predict his kicks. Get into his launchers and your in for it

bump biggrin

Something for the Baek people...

SSR, b+3, SSR, FLA 3,3,4, WS+4,4,4 = 50% off of triple sidestep to opponent's back. Mad easy too.

I'm working on a Dragunov write up atm smile

Wow, great idea for a thread, a Tekken surgery almost.

Dr Icege, a query - I dont rank myself as being especially awesome at Tekken. I find it great fun, but on 5/DR i find myself hitting a wall in terms of skill. My best levelled characters seem to top out at Shihan, with a coupla higher exceptions. I'm not really at home reading combo notation off the net, I have real issues turning it into Squares and Circles. I tend to just mess about and find some moves that feel comfy to use. Any basic tips to push past this stupid sodding wall? I mainly use Bryan, Dragunov or Jack5 (a fan of big hitters).

Learn it if you really want to get better at Tekken.

Your biggest thing for getting past the wall is to learn the basics. Learn what moves are good (and why). Understand the game system. Have your juggles down. Spacing. Don't whiff, learn to punish. Break throws and block the big lows (ie: Bryan's d/f+3).

There are a ton of things that go into the "Basics" of Tekken.

Ah, cool, thanks for the pointers. Its gonna be a long, hard road...

By god, I think I just fell for Lili....but still got some for Asuka still..

Anyway, tell me anything that Lili has that "rapes to death". So the next time I pop in the cards, I can switch between Hwao and her.

Say no more.

u/f+3: One of her main launchers, with crazy range. Pretty good damage from juggles. It is jab punishable, though.

d/f+2: Another good launcher, except safe, but it lacks range.

d+3+4: Another launcher, but with big damage. Also has crazy crush properties. Hugely unsafe, though. -18

d/f+1: Her main poke with + frames on hit. Not sure if she gets frames on block, too.

d/f+3+4: Nice looking move that juggles on hit.

f,f+4: Badass low that's hard to see.

FC,d/f+3, Another good low. Juggles on CH.

Also good to use 1,2 and d+4. Note that Lili does not track well. You have to use long range throws to help.

Not too familiar with Lili except she doesn't track too well...

u/f+3 and d/f+2 are excellent launchers while d/f+1 is a good poke.

u/f+3+4, d/f+1+2 is a bootleg set-up

d+3+4 crushes things it shouldn't, but is mad punishable...

I'll ask our Lili players some more... afaik...

WS+2, d/f+2, d/f+1, 1,2,4
d/f+2_u/f+3, 2, b+2,1, d+2,2,3
d+3+4, U/F+4, 1,2,4

There's most definitely better juggles and such, but until I get a PS3, I won't know em 4laugh

Just a couple more days till I get to destroy with a Sixaxis 4laugh

Anyway, this may make me look like a total Tekkenn00b but how do I reverse the armbar?

I'm talking about the one that can be done by some characters during the ultimate tackle. Am I supposed to hit 1+2 at some point? Or is there more to it than that? (the tackle itself i can reverse, but when I go for the armbar, the cpu reverses it) It's a cool way to lose though... If I'd have to pick one.

1+2xN to reverse the armbar if your character is one that could (King, Marduk, Dragunov, Nina, Anna, Paul, Jin can iirc... not sure who else)

1+2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,etc to reverse and pull your arm out
