Nope. Sometimes they just suck the life out of the user or whatever. They're never safe. 'Cuz, y'know, cursed.

Ah, I see. So they generally always give amazing power but with a drawback? *patiently waiting for the chance to get a cursed something*

Or they give you no amazing power and just try to kill the user. Cursed swords are very non-safe. Holy swords sometimes have limits (like, they're unable to harm an innocent person), but cursed swords tend to be as dangerous to the user as they are to the enemy... if not more so.
Seems fitting for someone like Naniyori. ^^

Though sometimes holy isn't good. Like Soul Calibur. >.>
Is there a difference between a cursed weapon and an evil weapon? o wo

Stories sometimes like to twist things, but generally speaking, holy is supposed to be very positive. Now, light isn't always good (starting with Lucifer as the fairest of the angels and going down from there... literally...), but holy usually is.
Unless, y'know, it's holy to an evil deity or something. XD Which is technically possible.
A cursed weapon is just cursed. Even if it's actively malevolent, that's generally because some effect was applied to it. An evil weapon is a little more... intent on the evil. A cursed weapon might suck your life because that's what the curse says to do. An evil weapon would suck your life because it would hurt you. Subtle but important difference. ^^

Ah, yes. Light, my bad. Though, as far as I know, God = Holy right? And God is evil in the SMT universe so at least there's one example out there. = w="
Man that's confusing. = w="

That's... not really right. SMT has a serious case of both "Light is not Good" and "Dark is not Evil" going on, but generally speaking, those two categories get minimal focus. At best. It's waaaaaaay more Order vs Chaos, and they tend to be treated equally wrong. Or equally right. It's what they player decides to go for, really.
Actually, Light's pretty good to have within MegaTen, especially if you're on their side. Light demons tend to be worshiped in religions and you almost never face them in battle because they trend towards being allied with humanity. They'll pop up in Fusion for you, though. Dark tends to be rather more violent, with deities considered enemies in the religions...

I honestly like the dark demons more than the light, personally. They have cooler designs and are much more vicious and bloodthirsty than the light, for obvious reasons. xD Like Beelzebub! I love me some Beelzebub. That fly design is amazing.

@Zorc: You are looking awfully ghost-y at the moment.
@Lunatic: Light demons tend to be stronger than Dark ones, though. o wo And you don't read enough mythology if you think chief deities usually aren't that vicious. In fact, they tend to give worse punishments to their enemies than anyone else does... venom dripped into eyes for thousands of years? Chained up and having organs pulled out of the flesh and eaten each day? Yeaaaaaah....
