The Choice is Yours

Yawning Saiya rested her cheek against his head as she allowed herself to fall asleep, content that he would not leave her.

Hulinn jerked awake and blinked, her head was a little cloudy as she shouldn't have been awake yet. Her brain was fuzzy and confused as she had just come out another Nightmare, having moved in her sleep away from Cral. Unsure where she was or if she was really awake or not she frowned and rubbed at her eyes.

"You're up a little early." Cral stated through a yawn, having awoken when he felt Hulinn jerk. He'd been afraid of another fever the whole time, waking at every twitch.

Hulinn's hand was on his throat with him pinned as soon as the fact that she wasn't alone and he had spoken registered. The confused and obviously unsure look in her eyes told him that she was still half asleep and her brain wasn't supplying answers, which made him an enemy at the moment.

Still a bit groggy himself, he wasn't quite sure what was going on. "Hulinn what's wrong?" Cral asked, reaching up to brush his fingers across her cheek.

Hulinn's nostrils flared as she took in his scent and frowned, releasing him as her brain said he was familure. Blinking to try and clear her mind she gave up and simply shifted so that she could lay half on him. She wasn't tired enough to sleep but she couldn't get her mind cleared until whatever she had been given wore off.

"Are you alright?" he whispered, shifting to look at her. "You should try to rest some more. I don't need you injuring yourself further." Cral added, concerned by Hulinn's actions.

Hulinn snorted. She was in no danger of hurting herself, it was him that she was concerned about. If she fell asleep just to wake up confused again she might actually hurt him, in fact if she hadn't caught his scent when he touched her she would have hurt him then. "Can't sleep."

"Liar. You even sound tired." Cral muttered, wrapping his arms around her as he tired to stifle a yawn.

Hulinn poked him in the ribs. "You sound tired." She countered. "I'm not tired, my brain just doesn't seem to be working. That stuff is still making everything fuzzy."

Tracing patterns with his fingers along her back, he smiled. "Well then we'll just have to talk till its all cleared out." Cral said, kissing the top of her head.

Hulinn arched an eyebrow, but snuggled closer into his arms. "What do you want to talk about?" She asked him as she ran a finger along the pattern of his feathers.

"Anything and everything." he answered, enjoying the feel of her finger running along his feathers. "Your choice."  

[SkieChan]

Hulinn groaned and tugged at one of the feathers. "My brain is malfunctioning. You choose or go to sleep." She informed him as she resumed her previous attentions after her abuse.

"Since you put it that way, how about we talk about you." Cral suggested, taking her hand. "I really don't know much about my favorite subject."

Hulinn rubbed her eyes and sighed. "What would you like to know?" She asked him, hoping her brain would allow her to answer his questions correctly.
