A topic which I deleted as promised. I said on Friday that I would delete in 24hrs....since it no longer serves a purpose....that way there'll be more activity on OTHER threads ^^

Well in that case... One Piece... I'm not speaking of the story line, rather the animation was as bad as Cyborg 009, that's why it sucks. Naruto and Bleach are very similar with DBZ. The whole "I'm strong, get beat by someone, train until stronger then the one that beat me," thing. That drives me insane.

That's only a part of it, there's a HUGE storyline that's going on behind the scenes. It has some of that formula....but that is NOT the driving force of the story, unlike DBZ. For instance in Bleach the guy trains not to get stronger to defeat some enemy....but to rescue a girl...and then finding out about a secret plot that encompasses ALL of Soul Society (Like heaven).

3. Naruto is better with story and action then DBZ.....unfortunately they're giving it too many fillers >.<

Haha, oh, the sounds of denial. domokun domokun domokun domokun rofl

Well if I had no knowledge of the manga...I would not comment about the fillers. Unfortunately.....they're supposed to be having a 3 year gap where everyone is more grown up and awesome like, but they keep sending Naruto on all these new missions. TWO story arcs have been completed along with 1-3 quick episode fillers....and with a new one coming out next week. Otherwise it's a pretty good story and such....but STILL rather inferior to Bleach as Bleach keeps you guess a lot more, and is a more serious story.

The DBZ story is quite rich actually, think about it, being a sayan explains why gokus abilities are how superior than earthlings. The origin of why draginballs are there all comes down to piccollo. the androids are all part of gokus involvement in the destruction of the red ribbon army all the way back in DB. The reason sayans were distroyed is due to freezas fear of the SSJ, this also explains why the sayans didnt come earlier to see kakarots progress. Buu is the only saga which kinda pops out of nowhere in DBZ, but it was still greta.

I never said it didn't make sense, but a lot of it was a bit much. A human manages to create androids more powerful then Vegeta for one. There's also the fact that a lot of DBZ isn't THAT surprising...there's little in terms of plot twists. Comparing that story to something the likes of Bleach is just ignorant. If you really studied the two you would see that they are quite different...

What's so different about that, DBZ characters trained most of the time to defeat enemies and rescue something(ie.. family, friends, planet, universe)? Though Bleach, I will admit, has a more complicated storyline, but a part of the formula is overused and overplayed and well, it's boring to me...

I will admit PART of it is overused....but a lot of that training is a lot different then that of other series. Instead of just fighting to grow stronger...the first training is more like teaching Ichigo to actually USE his powers properly.

For the second part it's also a lot different as it's making Ichigo get a relationship with his weapon, a fight that's like a metaphysical representation of the spirit of his sword and such. Not to mention Ichigo really WAS risking his life in BOTH instances....the 1st was almost becoming a heartless monster....and the 2nd time was dying if he was unable to make it.

Besides there's an insane amount of plot twists, and the graphics ARE far superior and stuff...

Actually, the thing about the androids is not that they were more powerful than the Z Fighters, though they were very powerful, but that they were difficult to beat because they were machines and had endless stamina. They did not wear out like Vegeta and the others. It's not too hard to believe that compaired to other things that happen in the story-line. XD
PostPosted: Sun Jul 02, 2006 5:32 pm

Well their power levels were enough that when the Z fighters first faced off against the androids, they got their butts handed to them. Although the greatest strength of always having the high power level...was their greatest weakness....that they couldn't grow much stronger.

With Bleach there's a lot of insane things....but practically everything is carefully woven together from the death of a Shinigami's wife, to the conspiracy in Soul Society, to the execution sentence of Rukia, to the man who helped train Ichigo, to the cat that visits the man who trained Ichigo. At first glance Bleach just seems a lot like DBZ....but there's so much MORE to it. I mean just the fact that everyone has drastically different ways of expressing their power....unlike DBZ. Like just with Death Gods their swords have different powers AND appearances....you can't say that much for the world of DBZ where it's mostly based on energy blasts and melee combat based on beating eachother's faces in.

and thats why the DBZ uneverse has spawned the moast powerfull characters in anime, becouse they show how worthless things like whepons, magack, and technology, are compaired to the power one can acheave thrue strict training, devotion, effort, and mastery of themselves.

I call total and complete BULLSHIT!! Majin Buu was created BY MAGIC, which GAVE GOKU A RUN FOR HIS MONEY IN SSJ3! There was more then one time in which the DBZ crew NEEDED magic to RESERECT PEOPLE AND REPAIR THE MASSIVE DAMAGE!! Take Garlic Jr who managed to cause a lot of problems through his own magic. The fact of the matter is...is that the DBZ universe showed that magic was VERY powerful and could in fact defeat several of these highly trained fighters via majin buu and the power of the Dragon Balls. Hell if you had the Dragon Balls NO highly trained fighter could defeat you....as you could make a wish so that you would be the only one with incredible powers for all time and stuff... twisted

right the Dragon ball's the one loop hole. it was the only factor that couldent be determend by a good old fassion blast!
yes other things gave them a run for there money, but who always won in the end?
PostPosted: Sun Jul 02, 2006 7:26 pm

Well Goku managed to win only because of the dragonballs in the end. Goku's cockyness did him in at the end if memory serves correct, so they HAD to use the Dragonballs. Thus Majin Buu SHOULD have ben the true winner, had it not been a story in which good MUST ALWAYS triumphant in the end.
