She watched him depart from them for only a mere moment before returning with an injection. Xaio could only hope that was the tranquilizer kinda thing she requested but after watching how violently it was jabbed in Duke and his reaction, she couldn't help but look away. What had he really just given him? "We should be here..." It wasn't any time soon she planned on moving so he should stay put as well. Her 'prince' would remain in slumber until the sun rose and Logan was up for examining. As for staying there, she wiggled around alitte and took hold on Duke's hand to comfort him while coaxing his head but upon her shoulder.

"If you wake me up, you better have some damn good coffee..."

Duke only moved when he was stabbed with the needle but he fell back asleep immediately after the plunger was pushed. He didn't seem to be in any more pain at all, he just slept soundly against the wall seeming like an earth quake couldn't wake him up from his blissful dreams.

Vincent only grinned with excitement"well now sounds like fun"as eh said that the sound of boots echoes through the halls. Without turning around the soldiers put him in chains and restraints"looks like they found me here" as they drag him away one soldier stays behind until the others left the room"sorry for intruding we only found out recently he was here we shall now put him back where he belongs"with a solute he turns around and starts walking to the door.

"ugh..." Xaio mumbled while beginning to wiggle around alittle on the floor she had managed to end up laying on with Duke's head resting upon her stomach in a perpendicular fashion. She hadn't even realized he was there at first until she'd moved enough to feel his head's weight. "O-Oh." Hopefully he was feeling better...she'd just have to ask. "Morning Duke, Did you sleep well?" Telepathy worked when you didn't want to shake a person awake to talk.

Duke groaned hearing her voice in her head. He opened his eyes slowly and propped himself up on his elbows picking his head off of her gut. "What the hell just happened," he growled before he laid down on the floor again and closed his eyes enjoying its coolness. He remembered getting poked by a needle, then nothing. Even before the was fuzzy from him being so tired and the pain. His hand immediately went to his gut for a second before he stood up on his hands and knees looking at Xaio with tired eyes.

She ended up waking him anyways which wasn't suppose to happen if her opinion, but he was up. "You...were asleep silly." Xaio smiled though since he managed to pull through the night peacefully until now since it was early morning. Maybe to early...Would Logan be awake? At first Duke laid down again but when it appeared his stomach was giving him grief, he hoisted himself up to appear in a canine position. "Sir, Please lay back down. I'll call Logan over here momentarily." In attempt of having him listen, she went ahead and propped herself up enough to administer a morning kiss before mentally calling upon the doctor. "Logan, He's awake."

"If you wake me up, you better have some damn good coffee..."

Duke smiled at the kiss and he gently kissed her back on the cheek before he rolled over and laid on his back. He closed his eyes and rested his arm on his gut and he let out a sigh laying still again doing his best to ignore the pain. "You don't have to call me sir all the time you know," he said quietly opening his eyes again to look up hearing the panther's claws clicking on the floor.

Logan picked up his massive cat head and stood up stretching hearing Xaio's call. "Go get him some ice," he said calmly back to her before he trotted down the halls to them. His paws clicked on the floor as he ran from the barracks trying to grip the tight corners. He panted lightly when he started walking again a few hundred yards from them. He turned into a human standing up next to Duke.

Smiling from the returned affection, she got up and began walking away to do as Logan requested. "Force of habit...heh" She told Duke when Logan was audibly there. Around a corner or two she traveled to retrieve ice from the hospital freeze and around another corner or two to grab a cloth to wrap the cold bag in before returning to him. Xaio knelt besides him and gently placed the cold bag upon his stomach like she suspected. Of course, she didn't have the nerve to lift his shirt and she the damage.

Logan crouched next to Duke and smiled a little bit before the fist pounded smiling back at him who was chuckling despite the pain. "You are one tough b*****d," he smiled before he looked up at Xaio who had returned. He nodded to her before he unzipped Duke's singed military coat and pulled it down letting the ice sit on his skin as he pushed the coat away showing his scarred, muscular, blood covered torso that shuttered with pain and coldness as he breathed. He picked up the ice slowly to show a huge ugly bruise on his skin with a few deep gashes on it from his fist breaking skin from how hard he was hit. Duke groaned a little bit as the ice was taken away leaving blood on the cloth. "Xaio, would you be so kind and set his bed up so I can lay him down on it," he asked calmly seeing that he was going to need a ton of rest for his inner injuries and possibly broken ribs.
