I never want to play Kaizo Mario. crying Ever.

I had an e-reader for SMB3 on my GBA so I got to scan cards with bonus levels and s**t. There were some awesome ones. cool

I only have two

A Leaf card, and the Bullet Bills in the Sky one.

Good thing I had the Game Boy Player to use with it. (cute how they put in the rumble feature when you get pwnt)

To bad the E-Reader didn't stick around.

The e-reader was a neat idea, but it was destined to fail. You could play old NES games on it, but only after you'd scanned a ridiculous amount of cards on both sides. Then you could only store one game at a time? Ridiculous.

The most interesting application was the one for SMB3, in my opinion. I really wish that they would put all of that content up on the VC for download. I had one that put vegetables in stages for you to pick up and throw at enemies ala SMB2.

That's pretty interesting!

And yes. 10 cards per NES game... gonk

and to think some of which were EASILY playable via Animal Crossing. I had the DK Jr. set.

Speaking of which I have about a bunch of AC charcter cards.

Also one for Ruby/Sapphire.

I always thought the E-reader could be used for like Yu-Gi-Oh at first.

But now that I think about it more...

Say, has anyone else noticed that companies tend to forget about or just plain drop any past facts of story-related things when it comes to ther characters?

Like in the Castlevania series, they've disregarded Sonia Belmont.

What about the Sonic series?

Are they casting aside that Sonic's speed comes from his shoes?

Well, if you play Sonic Labyrinth for the Game gear (also playable though certain sonic compilations), the story says that Robotnik replaces Sonic's Speed Shoes with SLow-Down Shoes, forcing him to walk his way though the stages. Only by spi dashing can you really get around quickly innit.

Couldnt that also imply that his regular shoes were replaced by weighted shoes? Or special mecahnical shoes that inhibited movement?
