"Dammit!!" Mer charged the door and threw her body at it. She didn't even dent it. She could feel her magic draining away, and soon Amaranth would be stronger than her. She backed up and charged the door again, ignoring the cracking sounds coming from her shoulder as it hit the door.
Rick laughed from where he sat in another lab and pressed a button to turn on the intercom, "Little mice. Want to live? Give yourselves to me and I will guarantee you will survive," He said. They would survive as his slaves.

"Like hell," Neal muttered. He knew what Rick meant when he said survive. Even though he knew it was futile, he launched a magical beam at the door.

Mana held his pistol steady and aimed. He shot a bullet trying to see if it would have any effect. "I already turned you offer down. Do you understand no?"

The walls were able to absorb the impacts without breaking.
"So you still won't go willingly? What's a shame," Rick said through the intercom, "Then I'll just have to kill you and get your crystallis' back from your corpses."
Gas began to be emitted from the walls into the room that was created to put victims to sleep then kill them.
"Crap!" Mer cursed, "Get down on the floor!" She instructed and charged the door again.

Neal started to make his barriers so the gas couldn't get in. However, this gave them each a limited supply of air. They needed to get out before they ran out of air.

Mer looked back at the others. They were going to die if she doesn't do something. She's the oldest of the Dragonkin siblings. She had more power than they did.
Mer faced the door again with a new plan. She began to chant in Dragonkin. Her Angel wings moved up a little and the feathers began to melt together into dragon wings. A tortured scream came from Amaranth's mouth as the changes continued. Pale pink scales began to form over her body.

Neal watched what was happening with his sister. He knew that this couldn't be good for her, but if he stopped her they were going to die. He rayed silently that she would be alright.

"Drop my barrier!!!" Mer thought to Neal. Her voice was more dragon now than Angel.

Neal nodded and did what his older sister told him. Her barrier disappeared, but the ones around him and Mana remained in place.

"You sure you want to do that?" Rick asked on the intercom, "That disk is not KIERAN's mind you know, and Mrs. Hunter is not here. So really you accomplished nothing."

"Hurry, Mer," Neal said, urgently.

Mana watched praying they would get out. He didnt know of anything he could do at the moment and was slightly worried that here he was superfluous.

"And you don't even know where I am, so there's no point in living," Rick continued, "You're not going to win, and your brother is not coming back. Face reality; you lost."
Mer's raised fist fell to her side. Her shoulders arced up a little and she trembled. Anyone who knew her well would probably want to get away from her.
Rachel threw up a barrier around the ones Neal made to keep the three safe. She knew what was coming, she knew all too well; so did Neal. And she's going to take Amaranth down with her.

Neal's eyes widened when he saw what was happening. "Oh no..." he murmured.

Mer's eyes turned black and magic emanated from her body faster than it was being sealed away.
With a roar that was half dragon, Mer's body gained a little size as she threw her fist at the door. It splintered and the door flew off it's hinges. She was insane now. She flew into the hallway and grabbed one of the uninfected hunters that happened to be nearby. She bit her lengthening teeth into his neck and drained him. Holding the lifeless creature in one hand, she threw it down the hallway at the guards who were gathering. Blood dripped down her chin as she looked back at the lab she was just in. A low gurgling sound came from her throat, then a snarl.
