Fallout: The Ruined York (Open and Accepting)

[Zahzi]

"Alright. You're in charge of entertainment."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Eh..?"  

[Zahzi]

"Start playing tunes for the patrons."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"...Alright..." HK sighed, before going dead silent...

After a few moments, music began to play from him.  

[Zahzi]

The Tavernmaster gave an approving grunt before returning to what he was doing.

Alex gave a grunt, standing outside of her house, looking towards Slade. She had gone over and jiggled the door handle several times, finding it unlocked. And last she knew, he made tracks for the Tavern while she busy yelling, meaning he was job hunting, which took out hours.

"...Somehow... I'm going to really regret this..." She groaned, quickly walking back to his place, and slipping inside.  

[Zahzi]

After about five minutes, Slade returned to his house with his food. He never ate inside the Tavern, as doing so would require him to remove his mask.

Alex, luckily, was no where to be seen... Where she was hiding could not be told.  

[Zahzi]

If one were to record the inside Slade's home, there was one thing they would notice first: No mirrors. Nothing reflective was in the house at all...Even the door knob was purposely scuffed it seemed...

And the entire home smelled of gunpowder....

Slade placed the meal on the table and sat down in front of it. He sat there for a moment before removing his mask.

Someone has self esteem issues... Alex thought with a groan as she watched Slade closely. Surely his face couldn't be as bad as he acted...  

[Zahzi]

Slade's face was more than scarred...

Sure, the basic form was there, but it looked as if a Yao Guai had used it as a scratching post for a few hours.

There wasn't even a millimeter where it wasn't covered in cuts and scarring. One of his eyes was permanently white from one of the scars...

All Alex could do was stare at his face, the scars, the damage. Everything. She had been lucky she had one of those 'breath taking' moments, or else she would have screamed.  

[Zahzi]

Slade ate in silence, not even knowing Alex was in his house, the only place he ever let his guard down in.

Alex remained still and quiet...  

[Zahzi]

After a good ten minutes, Slade stood up and picked up the now-empty dish. He then walked toward the door, reaching for the handle, before suddenly stopping, as if noticing something...
