[Ronnel no Fenniksu]

Shinji watched as one of the zombies grew braver. He held up his weapon, watching as it formed into a gauntlet over his right hand. From the outer edge of the gauntlet, a single curved blade traced down the path of his arm, tapering out past his elbow. The other end flattened out into a punching blade over his knuckles.
Shinji dashed forward, his new weapon slicing into the zombies flesh. It staggered back, its right arm now missing. Without missing a beat, Shinji spun around and drove the spike into the creature's chest, skewering it. He kicked the zombie away, finishing it off with a lightning bolt to the skull. He straightened up and looked at the next creature, that was edging into his kill zone.
"Come one...come all...." He growled softly.

[Oni_Soul]

The two forces clashed once again, each time the other's sword pinged off of the other's. They wne at it for what seemed like forever, not a scratch on any of them. Then, Carge, during one of the clashes, performed a frontflip over the Alpha and beheaded him. The greenish bial squirted and flowed like a fontain down its body creating a pool at its feet. The wolf turned around hoping to see his felled opponent, just in time to see it's sword flying down towards his face. He barly missed the weapon, cutting deep with in the skin over his right eye, but he quickly shook off the pain. They took their stances again and charged. Their weapons clashed and sparks flew from their blades. Carge knew he had to finish this fast. Holding the sword with his right hand, he brought up his left, letting his claws come out in full form. The wolf slashed open a gash on the Alpha's eye on its chest and it let out a horable scream that temporarally deafend Carge, but he kept his eyes on the agonizing creature.

Shinji dove low as he attacked, bringing the spike of his weapon up into the next zombie's skull. The spire of metal punched through the zombies jax, and brain, entering through the bottom of his head, and exiting out the top of its skull. Shinji ripped the spike out, tearing the zombie's face in half. He shifted the blade again, once more making a mace. He swung his new weapon up and over in an arc, bringing the heavy flanges of the blunt object down onto the skull of another zombie that had tried sneaking past the gennin.
Blood and gore oozed out of the zombie's ears as it sank to the ground, forever silenced. With no pause this time, three more zombies stepped up. One however, was twitching strangely, and moving faster and jerkier than the others. Shinji stared oddly at it for a moment, then shook his head and formed the staff into a short axe. He leapt forward to attack.

Shinji tore through the last two zombies with ease. Now he was facing the odd one, the strangely behaving zombie. He attacked, and despite its odd movements, it was killed as easily as any other zombie.
Shinji turned away to face someone else when there was a wet thud behind him, then an unearthly screech. He spun around, and crarling out of the zombie's carcass was a bizzare, gossamer thin being that looked like a collection of bones stuck together. The ends of its arms were blades.


Shinji blinked at it several times, staring as the creature paced towards him. It leapt up into the air, the blades diving for his neck.
"KUSO! RAITON: RAIKOU HENGE NO JUTSU!" He shouted, shimmering into lightning. He flashed behind the monster, and quickly struck off its head while its blades were buried in the ground.
"CARGE! WATCH OUT, IN SOME OF THESE BEASTS HIDES A SECOND FIEND!"

As the obomination roared in anguish, Carge looked over to the odd looking figure that was now in the midst of battle. "Well, its not one of ours, kill it!" Carge yelled across the field. As he was disstracted, the katana of the fiend, slashed across, his back, slicing his coat in two. The wolfman let out a roar, anger now burning in his eyes. Forming a handsign with his left hand, he whirled around, knocking the Katana out of the Alpha's hands. From that the Bone Sword, form int a spear, launching itself through the large mouth on the creatures stomach, springing it into the air. As it was idleing through the sky, Carge formed the weapon into an axe like weapon, stepping under the creature, and slashing upward, slicing the thing in two. As the upper torso fell to the ground, the Ax turned into a Hammer, slamming down, smashing teh eye, flattening the beining into the ground. The vail was like a water fall, flowing off of the large rock, splashing onto the undead army.

Shinji panted as he thrust his longsword into the grund and gripped his injured shoulder. He tightened the bandage and put more pressure on it, cutting down on the blood flow. Satisfied, he pulled the sword out of the ground and spun it up into the creature that had tried sneaking up behind him. He ripped the blade out of the zombie's gut, tearing the Undead being in half. He stood up slowly as the zombies were washed away by a large flood, some of them falling apart under the liquid.
"What...was that thing?" He muttered to himself.
"Carge-san...what next?"  

[Oni_Soul]

Carge looked out onto the army, most of them were either falling down, or falling apart. "We must keep going. In this realm, there is another gate out to our realm. Mikyo should be near that gate." He said as he pointed to the far edge of the plain of oblivion. "We must make all haste there. We have defeated the main defensence of this area, we need to get to the Gate and fast." Carge took up his weapon again, forming it back into its sword form and placing it in the straps that were on his back.

Shinji nodded slowly, reforming the balde into a gauntlet and pauldron on his right arm. He lowered himself down, and grinned.
"Race ya... that dot there right?" He pointed to the gate in the distance.
"If so... Raiton: Raikou Henge no Jutsu"
The boy's grin flashed electric yellow as he shimmered into lightning and took off for the gate.  

[Oni_Soul]

Carge grabbed the boy by his foot. "Not that way boy." He said as he pointed east. "We need to go that way, towards the forest." He laughed as he smiled.  

[Ronnel no Fenniksu]

Shinji threw his hand down against the ground and caught himself. He blinked several times.
"That could have hurt.. ok then to the forest!" He started to walk towards the east when he saw a small creature rattling on the ground in front of him. He stepped forward and slammed the staff down on it, blinking when a ring of purple energy shot out from the dead critter's tail as he crushed its skull.

When the purple light around the gennin faded, he was in a different realm. He looked around, wondering where he was. He was standing on some kind of rocky outcropping in the middle of a huge chasm. Darkness extended either way, farther than he could see. Immediately around him were more outcroppings. On each two glowing pads stood. He walked down the path he was on, and came to a pad where the color kept changing. He braced himself and moved in when it flashed blue.

Blue light shimmered around him and suddenly he was on one of the other rock plateaus. He looked around, and brought the staff down from his shoulder into a scimitar. He slashed the head off a zombie that was standing up in front of him, then sighed.
"Ok..where the makai am I?" He shook his head and stepped onto the other blue pad, hoping it would warp him back. Instead, blue light shimmered around him, but nothing else seemed to happen.
"Odd...let's try the purple pad then..." He walked over to the other pad, a stepping onto it.

When the purple light faded, he was standing on a third outcropping. This one had a strange semicircle of pillars up the path, around another purple pad. He ran up quickly, stepping onto the pad.

When the light faded this time, Shinji was standing at the edge of he forest.
"What on earth was that place?" He felt light and tingly.
"That blue light... it recharged my chakra stores? Odd.... I'll have to ask Carge-san about it." He shifted his attention towards Carge was.
"And how did I move so far so fast?"  

[Oni_Soul]

Carge's calwed hand rested upon Shinji's left shoulder. "It was a different realm...a some what of a genjutsu state." He looked up and around trying to figure out a way to get to where Mikyo was. "There! We must make haste young-one." Carge yelled as he jumped through the bushes and onto the trees.  

[Ronnel no Fenniksu]

Shinji formed his staff into a giant machete and began hacking his way through. Whenever the brush got too thick, he merely leapt over it, ducking and weaving through the trees.  

[Oni_Soul]

"He has lost alot of Chakra, we must hurry! Forget about cutting and start jumping on the braches!" Carge growled as he picked up Shinji and put him on a branch next to himself. After this action, the wolflike man once again, started to jump from tree to tree in a straight line at high speed.  

[Ronnel no Fenniksu]

Shinji blinked and nodded once. He shifted the blade into a bladed gauntlet again, and began leaping through the trees, using his good hand to push off occaisonally in handsprings. The young gennin thought he saw the flicker of a clearing ahead, but couldn't be sure.  

[Havok-Trance]

As everyone had either left or went through the portal Ryu stood up and went running for the training grounds, time to train.
