I can remember there was a time when some of us would 'race' to welcome newbies. Ahh, memories... rolleyes *sigh*

We used to do that? Meh. I don't think I'm quite that old to remember that. Plus I left for a year a while back, might've been then. But you raced to welcome people? xd Aaaaw.

Hello everyone,

I'm 17, I come from northern California, and I'm Chinese (Taiwanese, to be exact, but I refuse to get in any Taiwan-independence arguments with people, and if you insist - or just prefer - to call me Chinese, I think it's much the same). I speak Mandarin and I... like to write. I also own many cats and only one dog, though I like dogs more than cats.

*tips hat* hello everyone. i'm a seventeen year old who was born in and still resides in Los Angeles. Sadly, I only really speak english(and a little japanese) which is something that continues to haunt me to this day and probably will for the rest of my life. Most of my ancestors are from Chinese. My father is fully Chinese by blood, but was born in Thailand and lived in Cambodia. My mother is Chinese and Cambodian, but lived in Cambodia her whole life. In my family, only my father speaks Chinese, but I had a futile attempt to learn it. Even though I cannot speak, I'm familiar with many customs and traditions. I hope to learn more from all of you and this guild.

No furry pets though - actually, I lie. We did have rabbits, but they just kept breeding and my dad had to 'dispose of them'. cool

And we did have 2 tortoises, but they died and my dad also had to 'dispose of them', once again. sweatdrop

I've never had a pet, technically. Not during my time in England, which is all my life save eight months. My mum is scared of dogs, thinks cats are dirty and cruel, and anything else is a waste of time - rabbits, again, are dirty, and fish are pointless. *shrug* I'm pretty useless with animals because of this. I've barely had any interaction with dogs and cats. I'm not scared of them; I adore cats especially, but I'm allergic. I just don't have much of an affinity with them.

I did have two tortoises/turtles (tiny ones!) when in HK for eight months... We released them when we returned. sad
