"I can't say I care to assume anything about you, I can't help that your words are so easy to twist. You never said you weren't interested you know." He chuckled to himself, giving the generator one final cursory glance before making his move. He was fairly certain that he could quickly reconfigure the wire arrangement and then send the current back through. He wasn't sure how long it would hold, but hopefully long enough to get back to the bottom and force the main doors open. He'd let someone else deal with getting the building operational once he was happily outside it.

Stretching his fingers momentarily to make sure he had the necessary flexibility for the task ahead, he moved towards the central panel. Glancing back to see Jounouchi momentarily facing elsewhere, mumbling angrily to himself about rude insinuations and whatnot, he hurriedly got to work. It wasn't as easy to maneuver the wires as he had hoped, but it was working. Just a few more connections...

As Jounouchi huffed towards the distance and muttered to himself, he ended up continuing the argument, "Well you never said you weren't gay either, but it's not like I went and assumed you were!" he said, not so much shouting anymore than simply speaking with a raised voice, "It's like how you don't just walk around assuming random people are super geniuses or anything like that. Just because it's possible or they don't say they're not doesn't make it true. If that were the case, then we would all just be wasting our time all day listing things that we're not to other people so they don't think we are them! Well for your information Kaiba, I'm not a genius, I'm not an astronaut, I don't have cancer, and, no, I'm not gay! Just so, you know, you don't assume those things!" and now he was going back to more of a shouting tone, but at least his distracted, angry ramblings were giving Kaiba enough time to finish what he had started.

Seto kept futzing with the wires, hoping to at least get through that before Jounouchi bothered to pay attention to him. Knowing the complications that could arise, he realized he should probably remain silent and just let the kid rant to himself until he was out of breath - or preferably, until Seto finished the task at hand. However he was never one to just stand idly by when he had quips and retorts readily at hand.

"I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have assumed you were a genius, or an astronaut. I doubt you go in for any sort of regular medical screenings so if I were you I wouldn't presume to make assumptions there, these things can lie dormant for years you know. I get the point of the exaggeration but at least realize if you want me to take you seriously you have to be at least somewhat believable. You know, tell me to not assume that you are borderline retarded, because I was rather certain you might be."

He fiddled with a few more wires, certain that the mind behind him was about to explode into a further distracted rant. Given such he should leave off, but he wouldn't be Kaiba Seto if he didn't go for that final jab.

"Although, to address the main point of the argument, I didn't make that initial assumption based on nothing you know - like the rest of the things listed in your lame excuse for an argument. I made an assumption that a man, who likes to sit atop other men - whom they claim to not like or care about in any form anyhow - is probably harboring some sort of dormant tendencies, but I digress. If you want to pretend to be straight you go right ahead."

Wincing as one of the lines shot sparks at him, he hoped that Jounouchi would be much to angry to notice. Hesitating only briefly, he moved to push the two agitated strands together. They had to go together, sparking or not, it was the only way he was going to get this to work.

Jounouchi had immediately raised his fist in the air, attempting a protest, but being cut off by Kaiba's continued arguments. He kept attempting to interject, but every time he came up with something, the CEO seemed to manage to say more first, destroying Jounouchi's argument before he had even said it. Damn that man to hell...
And finally, as Kaiba finished, he was just left there, standing stupidly with his fist still in the air and his mouth partly open, formed to give a retort that he no longer had. He closed it after a moment, trying to remain patient and calmly think up of something to say, at least a little something to save face. When nothing came, he decided to just screw it and settled for shouting defiantly at Kaiba, "I AM NOT PRETENDING TO BE STRAIGHT, YOU ******** ARROGANT b*****d!!!" Who ever said arguing was necessary? His shouting and cursing got his point across just as well, and was a lot easier to come up with.

"Alright alright, whatever you say," Seto said mockingly, obviously belittling any sort of "argument" the other was attempting to make. He then jammed the final wires together, immediately regretting it. He stayed stationary this time, no flight across the rooftop, but the pain surging through his fingers, arms and torso was intense, and he couldn't let go of the snaps. He tried to will the wires to fall form his grasp, but no success. He was slowly being electrocuted to death by a weak current and he didn't know how to stop it. Speech was even beyond his current capacities. Moaning slightly he tried to mentally shut off the circut - something he should have done when the wires initially started to spark, this was the price he paid for trying to rush and taunt simultaneously.

Jounouchi nodded with a snort, taking Kaiba's comment to mean that he was right, and letting the argument drop from there. Satisfied with that, he finally allowed himself the time to wonder what the hell Kaiba was doing. Well... the guy's hands were back in that damn generator... and he was standing in place, not really moving but just... twitching a bit. WELL s**t.
"Kaiba, what the hell?!" Jounouchi ran over to the other boy, wrapping his arms around him in a 'bear hug' motion, quickly pulling him back away from whatever he was grasping. Kaiba's hands let go of the wires as they were pried away, and the two fell backward, Jounouchi's head hitting the rooftop, Kaiba landing on top of him.

Seto rested his head on Jounouchi's chest, in too much pain and too exhausted to even roll off him. He gulped in air, as out of breath as a drowning victim might be upon a near escape. Somewhat offhandedly, he mentally thanked whatever unlikely deity had decided to spare him, keeping the current from passing to the other man before they were free of the electrical entanglement. He couldn't think of too many deaths that would be more awkward and uncomfortable than being slowly choked and burned internally with one of his more irritating rivals attached to his back.

Vision still blurry, but breathing slightly eased, he rolled to his left. Not very far, he was still somewhat nestled into Jounouchi's side, but at least that was a tad less embarrassing than his former position. Now if only he could manage to stop Jounouchi from delivering whatever criticizing lecture was about to come without uttering a single word. Mainly because talking was bound to hurt like hell right now.

However, Jounouchi didn't seem in any hurry to again go back to lecturing Kaiba at the moment. His head had hit the rooftop hard enough that he was seeing stars. Not to mention, though he had managed to pull Kaiba away before being caught into the electrical current himself, the last of the volts had passed through the CEO's body and into his own. Not a dangerous shock or anything, but enough to keep him twitching a bit as he let his head clear. He instead decided that, considering the danger was over, it was best to just lay there and recover for a little bit.

Seto was grateful when several moments passed and it seemed like Jounouchi wasn't going to even insult him, much less lecture him. Nowhere near recovered, he was nonetheless rested enough to breathe and focus on objects that were within a few feet of him. A reasonable enough level of clarity to climb to his feet. He looked down at Jounouchi, still on the ground. He appeared dazed but alright, so Seto headed back to his generator. All connections and currents reestablished, it was merely the flip of a few switches that stood between him and possible freedom.

He wasn't seriously going to-seriously?! Kaiba was already up and heading back to the generator, like some dumb cartoon character that just kept running into walls over and over again?! What the ******** had been letting the brunette's moronic actions slide while they both recovered, but this was just... this was just... he sat up as quickly as he could, head spinning from the sudden movement. Knowing he wouldn't be able to stand up and pull Kaiba back in time, he nonetheless got to his feet, swaying, but also shouting, "Kaiba, what the hell?! Get away from that thing! Even kids know not to touch a hot stove after it's burned them once!!"

"This isn't a stove dog, this is a generator," he said very slowly, purposefully trying to irritate. He figured a pissed off Jounouchi was more likely to leave him alone. Although this was Jounouchi he was dealing with. Normal people only took a certain amount of abuse before they left someone alone, even if that someone was trying to kill himself - not that that was Seto's intention at all.

"Besides," he continued before awaiting a reply, "I'm almost done, why give up now?" That settled, so far as he was concerned, he made his way back into the generator room and tried to remember what exactly he needed to do next. His thoughts were slightly fuzzy at the moment.

"I know that!" Jounouchi huffed, "I was just using an... infer... no... what's the word... an analogy!" he snorted out the last word, not really having been in the mood to rack his brains for the right word to explain himself to Kaiba. He stalked after the other boy again, "And maybe you should give up because you're also probably about done with your luck too! You know what they say, "Third times the charm!" I'm sure the generator will manage to definitely kill you this time!" he was too angry at the moment to sound too alarmed, using his energy to follow and rant at Kaiba, rather than to physically try to stop him.

"Even if I do, why would you care?" Seto shot back, deciding Jounouchi was still a bit off and thus incapable of stopping him, at least not before he could throw the switch. All things considered it was a rather successful endeavor. Sure, it perhaps sparked a bit, sent maybe an unnaturally high jolt of electricity through the switch operator (i.e. himself), and it was any idiots best guess how long the entire system would hold. Still it was up, it was running, and escape was now within their grasp...maybe. Seto would deal with that later though, right now his world was busy turning black before he could even hit the ground.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 10, 2010 11:24 pm

And as Kaiba fell to the ground, the last things he could hear where multiple, various, and creative curses being thrown at him as Jounouchi stomped at the ground like a child. He seemed better at coming up with words when he was this angry; he even managed to throw in such a gem as, "You bombastic d**k-faced assclown ******** of space!"
Before he knew it, Jounouchi was hurrying over to Kaiba, sitting him up off the ground, "I bet it really did kill you this time!!" he huffed, checking the other's pulse. Okay, so he was alive. Damn. That meant he couldn't say 'I told you so' to Kaiba in the after life. Oh well.

He really should sleep more often, unconsciousness was blissful. Although non-drug induced sleeps were unfortunately plagued by dreams, and one could never tell where those would go. These dreams were relatively harmless though, seemingly. The first encompassed fuzzy purple elephant clouds, racing round and round.

The elephants soon blurred into a dark mist in the middle of a forest. Seto found wooded isolation calming, so even a supernatural tint did nothing to dampen his mood, this was a dream after all. Peacefully he rested in the woods for sometime, until he heard a voice call to him from somewhere deep in the fog. The cries sounded urgent, so he jumped to his feet and sprinted deeper into the forest.

Obtaining unnaturally powerful speeds, he reveled in the glide, until he suddenly burst out of the natural retreat and into the middle of a crowded and backed up intersection. Sirens were blaring in the distance, racing towards the tragic scene ahead. Although there was little point, looking ahead at the wreckage of the two vehicles he knew there was little chance of a survivor. Particular in the car tipped completely off the road. Still he had to at least do something, everyone else stood frozen, gawking.

He approached the first vehicle, just to clarify his suspicions, and gasped in horror at the massacre within. A couple by the look of it. The driver was a man, the thick brown hair surrounding his head was no obstruction to the view, his face smashed beyond all recognition. He was clearly gone. Seto then turned to the women, also beaten pretty badly. Unnervingly enough her eyes had been wide open when rigor locked her pose. Icy blue orbs gazed sightlessly back at him, so familiar, so similar to...he gasped. He stepped back and paid attention to the details of the car, this car. It couldn't be, there was no way. This was years ago, it wasn't happening again, it...he collapsed, panting heavily, trying desperately not to puke at the ghastly sight which he'd only seen depicted in crime scene photos before.

Moving away, shaken and disbelieving, he turned his attention to the other car. This car was somehow not right though. This wasn't the flashy death machine housing the booze soaked a*****e who wouldn't even realize the horror of what he'd done until days later. Not that he suffered any severe injury, he was just that intoxicated. This car was different, furthermore, this car was totaled. Inching over slowly he glanced in the smashed passenger window and gasped. The steering wheel actually jutted out of the back of the driver, the impact had been that brutal. The blond man clearly dead, still twitched, blood dripping steadily between his - between Jounouchi's lips. But how? Jounouchi was still on the roof, he couldn't be, the time wasn't right, there was no way.

His thoughts jumbled incoherently, further taxed upon looking into the back of the vehicle. This is where the front seat passenger had been thrown, Seto was now face to face with, himself. Furthermore, he was still alive. Coated in blood, broken beyond repair, but still wheezing slightly, still not quite yet dead. The floor of the entire vehicle was covered in bottles of wine. Open, broken bottles of flowing red wine. The smell was overwhelming, Seto could hardly breathe the alcohol was so potent. He stepped back, he collapsed...

He opened his eyes and glanced up in shock at a very much intact Jounouchi. A breathing Jounouchi who was cradling the distraught CEO against his chest, his knees curled up under Seto's torso, glaring at him in obvious fury. Though there was a slight hint of worry underneath, that belied all the harsh criticisms that began to pour from the other's lips, once he saw his intended audience had regained consciousness. Seto barely heard a word, still badly shaken by the much too realistic dream.

((Sorry, rambled on awhile here. xd I've been so stressed lately it was nice to just get temporarily lost in this.

Making up details on the parental units there because idk?

And it's not supposed to be a premonition, so didn't feel boxed into any sort of implication there, it's just a mixture of memory and foreboding omens.))
