"F-Feed me?" Amber blinked not quite understanding. It sort of sounded like she was some sort of pet or a stray animal. But, it also sounded pretty funny too.
"I'm glad she likes me though," Amber sighed in relief as he pulled her back to him.
"Does she think I'm like your first girlfriend or something," she teased jokingly.

Jay was silent for a moment as his mind registered Lynn's words. He did think about that, but he wasn't too sure that was what he really wanted. To just call it quits and leave Lynn alone. It wouldn't even be just him leaving her alone, he knew he would be taking out a big piece of her life if he left.
"Why would we do something like that?" Jay asked acting oblivious to her idea.

"Nah. Because she approves of you, she probably thinks of you like a daughter or something. She's only got me, and sometimes I know that she wished I was a girl," Mike explained.

"Because we're only pretending. What's the point?" Lynn scoffed, breaking away from him, "Look. I want someone to love properly, not pretending."
She turned her back away from him and began to strut off.

Amber laughed. She obviously imagined Mike as a girl. That was actually a pretty hard thing to imagine, but somehow she managed to do it and just started laughing.
"S-Sorry," she spoke laughter still in her voice.

"Well, what if I say no to your breakup proposal?" Jay asked her, once again speaking the first thing on his mind without thinking about it. Usually when he just acted without thought, he acted with his true intentions. His intentions weren't hidden or overrun by his thoughts. His words were true and his true feelings shone through. He really, really, didn't want to let go so easily.

"Hey, why are you laughing?" Mike asked, surprised.
The dance ended, and Mike led her to a seat so that they could talk.
"Come on, tell me."

"And why would you say no," Lynn said, turning around and crossing her arms, "You don't even like me."

Amber followed along, hand-in-hand, as Mike led them off to the seating area.
"Oh, no big reason," she answered still laughing somewhat. "Just the idea of you being a girl."

"If I didn't like you then why would I have saved you in the first place?" Jay pointed out the obvious his own mind not thinking made him seem, shockingly, smart. Though, his mind was probably thinking somewhere along the lines of, 'fight fire with fire'. Interesting idea it was.

Mike attempted a high pitch voice, "Oh really? Did you imagine a hot girl?"
He grinned at her.

"So you like me. Yeah, and does that mean you see me as a girlfriend?" Lynn tapped her foot impatiently, even though her heart was swelling with utter happiness. She was close to admitting her true feelings, but need a prompter.

"S-Stop it!" Amber laughed hitting him lightly.
This would be the first time she laughed this much.

"Don't act stupid Lynn, you know it doesn't suit you," Jay answered instead.
He had this sensory feeling that Lynn understood his intentions even if she questioned it. He reached out grabbing her hand and pulling her back towards her, planting a kiss on her lips. He himself didn't realize his actions, but he knew it was right. It was, perhaps, the first time he had been so direct with his feelings.

Mike grinned, then stroked Amber's wig and stared at her blue eyes.
"You go all out huh? What made you want to be Alice?" he asked.

Lynn reacted by kissing him back. She closed her eyes. No, she was not surprised. Based on subjective and logical probability, she knew Jay felt the same with her. Her hands naturally wrapped itself around Jay's neck, kissing her more. She could of kissed him first, or told him she loved him, but she wanted Jay to do it.
"Took you long enough," Lynn said as they parted.

Finally recovering from her seemingly endless laughter, Amber brushed back a strand of the wig that was poking her eye.
"I'm not sure," she answered. "It was either between Riding Hood or Alice, but mom preferred Alice so now I'm Alice."
Smiling slightly as she replied, Amber then rubbed under her eye a bit. Contacts were really bothersome.

A small smiled sneaked its way into the corners of Jay's lips.
"Took me long?" Jay blinked almost laughing at her. "You honestly think I liked you this whole time?"

"What's your mom like?" Mike asked.
Mike always wanted to know what her parents were like. He didn't even know if Amber had siblings. What a great boyfriend he was.
"Maybe I should introduce myself," he thought aloud.
This stuff mattered to him. Especially because he was serious about Amber.

"How could you not?" Lynn replied snobbishly with a smile, then returned to her normal self, "Actually, at first I didn't think so. Then I started to reason and then I can out with a probable reason that you might have in sticking with me. It started with the question why would Jay, one of the most popular guy in school, help out a school nerd. Then, on top of that you continue to pretend to be my boyfriend. I thought maybe you just wanted to use me. I was skeptical, which was why I was a complete b***h with you sometimes. Yet, you stayed."
Then Lynn whispered truthfully. "Let's just say I had a strong attraction to you. And I just had a gut feeling that maybe you liked me back."

"Mum's really nice," Amber answered smiling proudly. "She's like a typical housewife with an Asian twist. She's really friendly, a great hostess, a traditionalist somewhat, but very supportive."
Amber decided to stop listing what her mom was, personally, she could have kept on listing things about her mom, but decided not to. Considering Amber had already met Mike's parents, she decided it would be fair for her to describe both of her parents.
"Dad's more subtle than mom; he's quieter. Very gentleman like, that's the trait mum fell in love with," she told him briefly.

Jay blinked, an eyebrow raised.
"Do you have a reason for everything?" He asked teasing her. Most people would be annoyed by Lynn's know-it-all pompous behaviour, but Jay found it amusing. It was funny how she could just ramble on and on, on things that weren't suppose to have meaning. Like love. It was suppose to be something you can't find an answer to, but here Jay was starting to suspect she knew it all.

Mike smiled. Amber's face was lit up as she talked about her mom.
"You must really like your mom," Mike said, "Well, I like my mom too, but she gets really intense sometimes."

Lynn shrugged nonchalantly.
"Perhaps," Lynn answered, then told Jay's hand, "Want to get out of here before your fan girls we're together for real?"
She gave him a smile and took him outside where the kids where trick or treating. She took him to a quiet park and made him sit on the swing. She bent down to kiss him. She kissed him long and hard.
"I knew it. This feeling is much different," Lynn observed, scratching her chin, "I think this really is love."

Amber nodded her head.
"I like your mom too," she agreed with another nod. "Except I still don't get why she's so keen on feeding me."

Jay laughed.
"What'd you think it was?" He chuckled reaching up to Lynn and pulling her gently back towards him where he kissed her yet again. He nearly stood again as he kissed her, holding her close to him. A platonic kiss in the cool breeze of the Autumn season.

"Well, first of all she thinks you're really skinny. Second, she likes you," Mike answered as he stared at the dance floor again, "Come on, let's go dance."
He pulled Amber up and led her to the dance floor. He moved first to prompt her to move with him.

This was definitely better than kissing Mr. Foreman. All she felt with him, was his lips on hers. But kissing Jay was sending electric thrills all over her body. Her arms wrapped itself around Jay's neck as she deepened the kiss.

Amber headed out of the Choir room as they were all dismissed from Glee Club. As she arrived at her locker she suddenly remembered that she forgot her folder.
"Shoot," she muttered to herself sighing lightly as she headed back to the Choir room. What a waste of energy.

Jay left the Choir room holding Lynn's hand.
"Any ideas for the new assignment we got?" Jay asked her curiously. This week's assignment was Elton John. Jay was quite excited for it considering Elton John was quite a formidable pianist. It was one of the pianists Jay looked up to; great voice and great compositions.
