Some people have long fuses. I count Rigo as one of them, seeing how he managed to keep the details of that assassination event in the dark for so long and put up with the withdrawn Gio.
*looks at Jolyre and sighs* Gio's always been talented, but if you break us all, you won't have any quickie cookies.
Ok, maybe Rigo wouldn't have said "quickie cookie."

Hahahaha, so true, and Gio puts up with it because he feels responsible. I cannot imagine Orin or Miya putting up with it easily, however.
But don't worry Gio will eventually get fed up with it himself. I don't know when, but when he does he will give Jolyre a well-deserved slap across her face.
*Gio shrugs* I may be a bit talented compared to a normal human, but I have nothing on other races, Cyborgs, rangers, and soldiers. Like you said, I got trashed in every fight I ever got in when we were attending school.

Actually, I could be wrong, but I think Rigo may have the longest fuse in the group despite his age. sweatdrop Hmm.. as for shortest, Jolyre hands down, but that's because of the way she's acting.
Rigo: *sigh* Fighting isn't the only "talent" one can have, Gio... you should know that already... *sighs again*
Rigo's going to get the record for sighing in the roleplay.

Of course Joylre wouldn't do it because i said so, she's the epitome of the self-sustaining, independant woman...but she does have proper motivation to hate your character in more than 1 RP lol. *posts on FFB- "Lolz, Rigo sighs alot, let's keep a counter going of how many times he does it." *comment is immediately liked by over half of the FF villains. "oooh, someone's a popular Nero Angeal with the bad boys, I think Sephiroth likes you Rigo, must be the wings... rofl
If there's any monster we have to fight, please don't make it a Malboro, I have a passionate hatred of those things in EVERY FF game I've ever played. Even if we absolutely beat it down in no time flat...the smell would just be plain unpleasant for our characters. biggrin

Yeah! Computer back! No more Wii-typing!
Anyway, there will be Malboros, but not for a long while. They're a powerful monster, and not something any party should face at the beginning of an adventure. Sorry Suri, you have to face your demons sometime.

Glad you can post to your fullest again. Hopefully I'll have some nice RP content to read when i get back from a long day of test taking, I'll need something to cheer me up smile

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Malboro?

You're excused. xd Malboros are one of the most infamous monsters in FF history. A lot of times they automatically get a preemptive strike on your party, and when they do their first attack is always the dreaded Bad Breath, which causes pretty much every status ailment known to man. It'll confuse you, Berserk you, poison you, blind you, silence you, and anything else you can think of. If it exists, Bad Breath usually causes it. And it inflicts them all on the entire party, not just one character. If they are berserked, then they will only ever attack, and if you are blinded, you will miss most of the time, and if you are poisoned too, then what can you do except wait to die of poisoning? Can you now see why they are hated? They are also notoriously ugly. http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x331/HermanBurge/malboro.png (FFX) http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp152/Blacklight_Anubis2/Final Fantasy VIII/Common Enemies/Malboro/malboro.jpg (FFVIII) http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e227/junkit4/malboro.jpg (FFXIII[?])

I was just thinking... I know Summoning is the next step in them growing stronger, but I had been at a loss as to what to do for them to progress even farther than the previous generation had.... but then it hit me. Trance. Essentially Limit Break made as a transformation rather than a single attack. Light surrounds the Trance-induced character and they go through a slight aesthetic change at the same time, all while gaining power unknown to the average peon. The way I was thinking this could work in our RP is that it is a sign of both strong emotions and a synchronization with their Eidolon, with both summoner and Eidolon on the same wavelength and thinking as one. For some this would be harder than others. *CoughJolyreandAlexanderCough* And since being in tune with the Eidolon would be a requirement, it would bring a new kind of unison between the two. I was thinking that going into Trance would also make the Eidolons transform into weapons relative to their own abilities, rather than that of the summoner, thus making a second weapon for each character and new abilities to play around with. At the same time, the summoner and Eidolon would have a semi-merged consciousness, since the summoner would need the Eidolon's knowledge of how to use the new weapons. Some examples of some ideas on what the weapons would be are: (None of these are set in stone) Alexander Ray, a set of pistols that would allow Jolyre's range to be expanded to allow all ranges of attack and not just short-range. It also super-excites the body and mind of their wielder in the form of time-magic, allowing them to see the world at a slower pace and move faster than before. (Inspired by Alexander's attack, Holy Judgement) Tornado Zone, a arm-cannon meant to imitate the same attack by Pandemona, except it simply fires wind instead of sucking an enemy in and firing them out in a tornado. It can fire many different kinds of wind, and can fire wind-blades faster than anyone can swing a sword to make them. Diablos Tome, a dark book that holds many evil spells meant to inflict pain and suffering. Most prominently, is is used for inflicting status ailments, but also holds many gravity spells, an aspect of darkness magic that is difficult to achieve. Brothers' Grave, a large battle-axe with a large spike-ball on the opposite end. Essentially a combination of both Eidolons' weapons in one. This weapon is far more powerful, capable of crushing almost anything, but is slower and more difficult to wield. Those are just a few, but I think it could be a great way for each character to expand and cover for their weaknesses. They'd still have some weak-points, but the other Bearers make up for that.

Gahhh I love it. Completely.
Although... by the time Jolyre and Alexander can even think about having the same thought processes.... The story will have ended XD No that'll probably be a big plot developer for her... She'll have to chill out and grow up to summon a giant angry city castle with wings and guns.

Ok, yeah, those things look pretty ugly and status inflictions of that number are a pain.
Drac, the trance sounds interesting.
Rigo: Hmm... a tome. Have I been categorized as scholarly mage type?

Alane *looks up from magazine*: Oh... I was supose to be doing something those last eight posts? *gets up and leaves bar* -- I hate Malboros. *shudders as well* But I actually like Chocobos less. 'Dono why. Dreiyan "Lolz, Rigo sighs alot, let's keep a counter going of how many times he does it." *comment is immediately liked by over half of the FF villains. "oooh, someone's a popular Nero Angeal with the bad boys, I think Sephiroth likes you Rigo, must be the wings... You are my GOD! End of story. And Lythe Aeon If she were real...I would've punched her in the face by now... and possibly died afterwards...but still Ah, sweet hatred and love for characters. It's the same as me and Rine, who's first words were of terror and pain. This is what I wrote a month ago to my friend, who's character is my character's best friend. 'I don't know how your character lives with my character, because if I was Tzzir I would have already punched Rine in the face.'But for the exact opposite reason of Joylre (crap, I almost spelled it wrong again. Will you forgive me if I keep spelling it 'Jolyre?'). I really like the ideas with that you have. THIS is the reason you are awesome and the creator of this almost equally awesome rp. But I feel like an idiot because I always thought my Eidolon was 'Pandaemonium' because the name sounded almost exactly the same, and it was a giant tortoise. During the fight I also thought it had something to do with wind. Turned out it was weak against it ((FFXII, the only real one I know) I have the guidebook in front of me feeling stupider than ever. >.< ). So... ya. It still goes along with my plan though for the weapons.

Very nice indeed. I already have an idea for my character's Eidolon weapon. It took me the longest time to find an appropriate image, and even then it's not up to my standards. I guess not many ppl are a fan of the game it's from It's called "Raisen" which i think was supposed to be 'Raizen" from the first game, but it's essentially a spear/lance in which the front and back ends can extend in a chain-whip or form into a solid lance again. +8.7 respect points for anyone who's played said game series/ knows where this came from. This would make up for Suri's unarmed/close-combat fighting style by allowing ranged attacks and extending his base range of attack. And, of course, it's a thunder-elemental weapon

I saw your unedited post, but I won't say anything. Haven't played the series, but I have a friend who has.. or must have because I recognize the name.
Doesn't Raizen mean thunder? Well, I know Rai is lightning.
Hm... so you have a large bulky Suri with a thin spear like weapon with a danging hook on the back. Doesn't sound shady enough for Suri... or am I confusing Suri with Orin?

Now I look more mech-ish i think lol. It's not a hook, that's the other end of the spear that's showing the chain-extension part. (which both ends are able to do) Of course in the RP it's gonna be a heavy kind of spear...think of Thor's hammer if it were in a spear form lol. I'll see if i can find a youtube clip showing this thing in action: in it's respective game of course. Yeah I've always thought Rai/Raiden/Raizen all meant thunder in the Japanese language. So close enough lol. EDIT: Ah well, forget guessing lol. Here is a video that shows how it's used primarily (although I could show this dude how to PROPERLY kick a** with that weapon, he hardly even uses it's thunder attack!) This is just after you get it in-game so it's completely un-upgraded Jacques Wielding Raisen (in a suckish manner)
