All I know from pop culture is that he is depicted as a big bad octopus-faced humanoid being with dragonic wings.

Well, the first thing you should know is that Cthulhu and his children are traditionally associated with fire. ^^ So if you're going for the theme, then you should go fire instead of water.

Also, there's no need to rename normal spells, really. If you must, at least use ones from within the MegaTen series.

Also, I don't think I could possibly approve a permanent passive Mind Charge. Occasional use, yes, and I did it myself. But not permanent.

Why not just get a skill that buffs your Element?
Like, fire Amp?
+50% Fire damage.

I wanted something that was personal to the Cthulhu lineage. And to have that name as the skill for boosting magic.
