if they were making fun of anything american in that, it would be the rather stupid, and rediculous birth rate in high school age girls... its stupid... but, on the note of pregnant and mother characters, puppet, fanatic, did you forget about the little trip your characters were taking with Lunair Pre, and their children to mythanos?

Found an article...Whew! Now time to type up s**t about it.
I donated blood at least 10 times already. In Canada it's a voluntary thing so we're not paid for doing it.

We get paid for donating blood? Since when?

If that's the case blue Cross and sheild owe me money.

o_O My prof told me Americans get paid when they donate blood...That's the reason why donated blood in America is not as rich in iron and such as Canadian blood, taken from people who don't expect to get money or anything from donating.

As I call, the only I got was some juice and a puncture in my arm.... It's a voluntary thing as far as I know in America.

Um...Then why are there people here who have lived in the states and have extensive knowledge of donating being a paid service in the US? Someone with a PhD even told us about this, not just my prof...

Because they didn't go to high school here? I don't know, there may be a service that sells blood, but I am not aware of any specific organization that does that. I do know that they have a blood drive quite often at my school and other places, and it's all volunteers. And like I said, they are rather numerous.

because Twenty years ago we used to be paid for donating. I think the rate was... 50 for ever pint or something. A common example is shown in Scrooged, a Bill Murry film. In which one of the characters sells his blood to help by his family Christmas presents. That however was back when blood banks were in great need of blood and few people were... non-high enough to give.

Since the twin towers fell and several other world disasters ((The Tsunami, Ect)) The awareness of the need for blood donations was made more clear, and students have been encouraged to donate for no reward whatsoever. I donate once a year, since I turned 17. They really like me since I'm a universal doner.

Occasionally you will get a small tax cut if you donate frequently, but few people really know about the forms they need to fill out to get that.

Any other questions?
