Yeah, cedar blocks. Generally for shingles. He does cedar salvage to try to get all the wood left in stumps or trunks that were just too big to move out. These things have been sitting for a few years, I saw a full grown pine on top of a stump.

I think it was just planted that way. I've seen it everywhere. It's cool to return to places that we cut on and when we drive by it, there are trees growing.
