Katara bit her lip, "Well, okay then..." she looked down for a moment, then back up at her brother, "Guess we should start by coming up with a plan."

"Good." Sokka replied unconvincingly, jutting out his lower lip, clearly unable to hide his discontent with the situation. He plopped down to the floor into the small puddle that had come from his tears. He immediately jumped into the air, "Ugh! It's all wet!"

Katara blinked, "Wet...?" she suddenly smiled, "Sokka, that's it...!" she quickly put a hand over her mouth and lower her voice, "I could... attempt to freeze the water onto the bars so we can break them..."

Blue eye's widened as Sokka registered the situation. ".... You could... that's it!" The corners of his lips turned upward into the gigantic and slightly goofy looking grin that Sokka was so well known for. "Oh Katara! What would I do without you" He exclaimed in a girly squeal as he did a small victory dance around the tiny puddle that stood on the floor.

Katara smiled, glad to see her brother back to his old self. "Okay then..." she whispered, "But first we need to figure out a way to distract the guards or something... do you still have your boomerang? You might be able to knock one of them out with it..."

"I wish!" He exclaimed with a huff as he gave an overly animated kick at the ground to symbolize his frustration. "The Fire Nation disarmed me."
After getting over his short tantrum he stuck his index finger in the air, suddenly idea stricken, "I could distract them though! I could sing or dance or something!"

Katara laughed nervously, "That could work but... our cells are so close together that they would probably notice the Waterbending eventually... if there was a way to distract them with something that was further away..."

Sokka tapped on his lip for a few moments, racking his brain for the slightest bit of inspiration.
"Got it!" He finally exclaimed.
"I could, uhm, tell the guards I haven't peed all day, and I'd take care of business on the floor however being 'benders' and all, " He winked, "we could just use the stuff to escape so he'd better let me out to relieve myself or else he is going to have a problem on his hands. Then they'd probably take me away and you could work on escaping!"

"It's okay Katara. You can help me get out when I come back, or you can just make a run for it and get back to our tribe. I can hold me own until I'm rescued." He stared down at the ground sighing nervously, "Look. I just want you to escape." He wanted to add that he'd feel less guilty if she could get away, but he didn't want her to get mad at him for being insecure again. "That's the most important thing. I can try to make a dash for it when I get done pretending to you know what."

Katara frowned, "But-" she bit her lip, unable to think of a retortion. "I'll... I'll definitely come for you once we're out of these bars." she said determidely, "But there is one other problem now that I think about it... there's two guards here. They could easily have one follow you and keep the other one here..."
