Julia's eyes widened hearing him call her Mommy. Then as he ran out of the library, she wanted to go after him . . . but . . . She stayed put, her eyes watering. She had just . . . wanted to make him feel better . . .

Not sure of what else to do, he ran to Kaysal's room..hoping his brother was there. He burst in and shouted, "Kays-" Arueyan stopped short, seeing Emilio and Kaysal on the bed, looking peaceful. He felt a pang at the sight and clutched at the door knob. His appearance was less peaceful with tears streaming down his face, hair messy, and an upset, troubled air about him.
Kaysal jerked awake at that, blinking in surprise as he saw Arueyan at the door, looking flustered and..crying? His brother was a jerk..but he loved him, and seeing him llike that worried him. Kaysal rose, not sure how to react.

Emilio woke up, blinking and looked at the door. "Wha . . . What's wrong?" he asked seeing his father turned child so distressed.

Arueyan's expression seemed to crumble further at the question. Julia had been right. He was going to wind up needing help but with no one to care for him. "Nevermind." he said as he wiped at his eyes and started to go.
Kaysal jumped, or more technically, rolled from the bed, landing on the ground with an oomph, from whence he headed to Arueyan and bit down on the other's pant leg, stopping him.
Arueyan looked down at him and shook his leg a bit, "Let go!" he said, unable to stop his eyes from leaking still.
Kaysal's eyes slid to Emilio, looking expectant, apparently wanting Emilio to help stop Arueyan from leaving.

Emilio got up and walked over to Arueyan, picking him up and holding onto him as he put him on the bed. "You're not going anywhere until you tell us why you're so upset." he said, glaring a bit at his child-father.

Arueyan found himself being picked up and held onto as he was set on the bed. He squirmed a moment before suddenly stopping, cringing under Emilio's glare. Would Emilio be pleased with the news? Perhaps he'd think it a good thing to be the only man of the house. Arueyan's eyes watered anew at the thought although he cursed himself for his 'weakness'. "The spell.." he finally said in a choked voice, "Your mother got it wrong..she didn't read all the way..it's not just form regression but mind as well and permanent if completed fully..the counter spell, the page is ripped out..I'm stuck.." he said with a sob at the last bit.
Kaysal had gotten back onto the bed and listened to his brother. As Arueyan finished, he felt his heart fill with pain..Arueyan didn't deserve that..and Kaysal didn't want to lose his brother..and Emilio..he needed his father whether he would admit it or not..

Emilio stared blankly at his father before releasing him and then heading out of the room. He didn't say anything. He needed to think . . . And he thought best in the clearing . . . and Ryllura was sometimes at the clearing . . . Ryllura . . . maybe she could help . . . well . . . he had to introduce her to his mother sometime . . . and if she could help his father . . . yes! He started running. He needed to find Ryllura.

Arueyan felt as if the wind had been knocked out of him when the other left without a word. He should have expected it. Perhaps it was a small mercy Emilio hadn't laughed at his plight. But he didn't care..he'd left Arueyan. So be it. Arueyan ignored Kaysal and quickly left the room, taking a different route than Emilio as he headed for the stables and with some difficulty, managed to mount Nemru. After a moment's thought, he directed Nemru northeast, towards their Whitehall manor. Arueyan felt it would be a nice place to descend into madness while awaiting the loss of everything that was King Arueyan.
Ryllura's seer powers had alerted her this time, and she stood in the clearing to await Emilio. She'd been sensing strong magickal interference lately..but that much had come through at least.
Kaysal darted into the hall. "Julia! Julie!" he called, doubting highly that Arueyan had followed Emilio..now was not the time for Arueyan to be alone.

Emilio sighed in relief as he saw Ryllura in the clearing. "Lura . . . you remember my . . . younger brother?" he asked, deciding to get right to the point.
Julia came out of the library and looked down at Kaysal with worry. "What's wrong?" she asked, fearing that something had happened either to Arueyan or Emilio.

Ryllura smiled knowingly at him. "Unless I'm mistaken, you don't have a younger brother." she said amusedly.
Kaysal shook his head. "Arueyan..he came looking for me and Emilio was with me..he told Emilio what happened and he just left without a word. I'm pretty sure it hurt Arueyan, but he left without a word too..I don't know where but he wasn't following Emilio."

Emilio frowned. "Okay then, the kid that was with me earlier. He . . . is my father . . . my mother somehow turned him into a kid with a regression spell, but she made a mistake. It wasn't a spell that just changed his form, it's changing his mentallity. If it finishes, it'll become permanent." he explained in a bit of a rush.
Julia's eyes widened and she rushed down to the stable, first wanting to be sure that none of the horses were missing, and much to her horror, one was . . . "No . . ." she said softly and then started to saddle up her favorite horse, a snow white one which was named Starlight. As she saddled up her horse, she thought about the places that Arueyan would try going. And it hit her with what he had said at breakfast . . . "Whitehall . . ." she murmured, pausing slightly before putting the bridle in her horse's mouth.

Ryllura frowned. "And she hasn't found a counter spell?" She doubted they would have made such an oversight, but she had to ask.
Kaysal had followed and stepped back as several horses seemed agitated by the presence of a 'dog'. "I'm going to tell Emilio." he said, hearing the bit about Whitehall. And with that, he took off..he'd experimented a bit with his nose and was pretty confident he could sniff out Emilio.
Arueyan sat, holding on tightly to the reins..Nemru was trying to be careful, but he was a horse of power..it was hard for him to restrain himself and he missed the Arueyan that could handle him better, with whom Nemru could ride freely. It had taken some getting used to, learning how best to ride in his current form and delayed them a bit..but now they were going decently fast, heading to Whitehall.

Emilio sighed. "No . . . apparantly it was ripped out of the book . . ." he said softly.
Julia nodded and then got up onto Starlight. "Run Star . . . You're competing with Nemru now . . ." she said softly as she whipped the reigns lightly and Starlight shot out of the stables, running as fast as she could after Nemru and Arueyan.

Ryllura bit her lip and then prepared to speak, only to glance over as she heard a voice. Her clan was gifted with Nature's Tongue, allowing them to speak to any creature or beast.
"Emilio! Emi!" yapped a dark brown dog as it darted up and swiped a paw at Emilio's leg as it reached him. "Arueyan went off on Nemru, he's headed for Whitehall alone!"
Arueyan flicked the reins, getting a somewhat reluctant Nemru to go faster..and then something darted into Nemru's path, causing the horse to jerk aside and skid and the less prepared Arueyan was sent flying off of Nemru, landing hard on his left arm and cringing as he held it. He glanced to his now swelling arm and cringed again..it seemed to be broken.
Nemru too hadn't gotten off uninjured, he'd sprained his right, front ankle and was kneeled a few feet from Arueyan.
The culprits, a pair of greasy looking men smirked down at the pair. "Good bit 'o horseflesh that..and the little whelp..'e might make us a good chim'ny sweep, eh?" The other man nodded in agreement.

Julia could see something up ahead, whether that was some sort of roadblock or Nemru was yet to be seen. Whatever it was, Julia urged her horse to go faster, wanting to catch up to Arueyan as soon as she could.
Emilio swore as he heard his uncle and scooped him up quickly. "Come on Lura!" he said as he grabbed her hand and started running towards the stables, not knowing that his mother was already going after his father.
