Bakher looked the She-wolf Hunter over as she paced around him, and finally came to a stop in front of him, and fluffed his crest.
"Hello Larka...pleased to meet you. I thank you for the offer of assistance." He mulled over her request for a minute, and extended his left wing, then bent it so it came close to his beak. He looked over the feet long pinions, then delicately closed the tip of his beak on the shaft of one of his primaries, a vibrant ruby one, one that, given he was going to be molting shortly, he could do without. He carefully pulled it out, and grimaced at the sharp pain- Primaries were extremely important for flight, as well as very sensitive. He held his wing away from him as the plucked area bled a little, then folded his wing and placed the giant feather in front of Larka.
"this what you wanted, Larka?" He sat back on his haunches again, and looked the rest of the people in the clearing over.

Larka's careful containment of her excitement broke when the feather was placed on the ground in front of her. Bubbling with joy, the she-Wolf leaped up and delicately, yet quickly, snapped up the calamus of the feather in her teeth.
She strutted proudly into the den, her head and tail held high. She pranced all the way to her private spot in the den; not too far from the entrance, just a right turn, few steps up some ledges, and a hollowed hole in the rock made up her sleeping space. She placed the feather in the highest crevice of her area; she had to place her front paws on the wall and stretch up to reach it. She wasn't that happy with the spot, as no light came through to show off the feather, but it would have to do for now. She'd move it eventually.
She sheepishly padded back to the Pack and the visitors. She was only slightly embarrassed by her actions, but she got a feather, so she didn't care.
Larka sat down, on her haunches with her tail trying to cover her toes, almost imitating the Griffin's pose but on a much smaller scale. She looked around at her Pack, which was only Shadow at this point, and the visitors: a Griffin, an injured fox, and a lion hybrid. She laughed in her head at the strangeness of how they all must look with each other. Appearances didn't matter to her though, if they were all functional together, that's what counted.
With a smile and a slight tail wag, Larka looked at each member of their current party again and said, "Everyone ready for a nap?"

Sunshine and Jeff had been rolling around the forest floor together, playing and pretend-scuffling over the gold ticking thing, when Jeff suddenly sat up and sniffed the air. "Hey! You smell that, love?" "What is it?" she asked, eyes half closed, in a lazy contentment. "Several things," he said, continuing to pull in more and more scents. "I caught the scent of unicorn's blood, a griffin, and... an injured fox." Sunshine sat up, suddenly alert and excited. "Wanna go check it out, my sweet?" she asked. "Hmm..." he sat back on his haunches to think for a moment, "I suppose it could get interesting. After all, my experience in veterinary anatomy and healing could come in handy for the fox, and haven't you always wanted to meet a mythical beast?" Sunshine hopped up and started nudging him forward, eager to go. "Well, love? Let's go?" He dragged himself to his feet lazily. "Alright," he said. "We'll go." The two of them set off at a trot toward the den where they knew they'd find new company and probably a bit of fresh kill.

Larka could see that the Griffin busied himself with grooming. The only one who seemed ready for a nap, besides herself, was Shadow who grouchily moved into his space.
Sighing, Larka nodded a goodbye to the others and loped into the tunnel. She climbed her way up to her crawl space again.
She stood on her hind legs, her front legs supporting her against the wall, and delicately touched her nose to her prized feather.
Sighing again, but with content, Larka turned in place four times and finally settled down. From her perch, she could see and hear the others, but they could not see her, unless they were as large as the Griffin, anyway.
