I played it myself, I loved Onimusha 3. I haven't touched another of the games since briefly playing it way back when, which is a shame really, and I should find them.... but I remembered that weapon the moment I saw it. (I also have to agree that the player in the video was very uninspired in terms of how he used it. I would have been dancing mad all over the place.)
And that is excellent, a spear definitely complements Ixion's horn well, and the chain befits how lightning arcs and can strike beyond the conduit to which it is bound.
As for that Tome, Rigo, I was thinking that your character is right now only developed in the offensive and direct attacking nature of darkness, and that expanding that by adding debuff and inhibitor spells to your arsenal would easily make your fighting more deadly. It can even be a convenient one-handed size for quick reading while fighting with the sword in the other hand. If you can think of something else related to darkness, gravity, illusions, or status-effects, then feel free. That was merely a suggestion, as were all the others.

You mean to say you've only played Oni 3 but not any of the others? OMG! you must play from beginning!
The games are dirt cheap on PC or PS2/Xbox now, they even sell the entire pack for like 20$ at my Gamestop. The only separate one you'd need to buy is the 4th one; "Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams" which i dearly hope they'd make a sequel/movie of. Although it's not a mainstream series, my fandom of japanese culture games rivals my FF and Zombie devotion.
I'm gonna love it when we 'lvl up' so to speak. This adventure is gonna kick some serious butt! twisted

I was just making an observation and poking fun at Rigo's character. Yes, that does make him sound more versatile. xp I just thought of something funny when you mentioned the quick reading in one hand and fighting in the other. Rigo: *reads book while fighting with other hand* Interesting... *almost trips* This book is more interesting than you. Find something more interesting to do.

Kasumi: *Dances around in a circle and sits down* I think I have the longest fuse in the group. I'm the youngest, personality wise I think. I'm just a sweet little girl......that has a crush on Gio.
I agree, Malboros are scary and very mean. And Chocobos are the sweetest creatures, next to Moogles "Kupo!"

It is entirely cool, Claided. I bomb her name every time I post...at least 8 times a post. Jolyre. But I had to give her that name...she sounds like...a warrior XD I tried to do some wordplay and give her the last name Aegis...cause she's not a protector...not yet anyways. Right now she's just crazy.
And I thought the same thing about Rigo and the tome. Just off in battle, reading, completely chill. He's so serious and intense all the time...it made me laugh.

Rigo: *looks at Kasumi* I certainly hope that is NOT the only reason why she is helping my brother
Lythe, sweatdrop Haha, I'm not sure if Rigo was supposed to be like that from the start since I had never played him before, but it all worked out, and I think it works well with the group so none of us have the exact same personality. I'm going to laugh if Rigo and Jolyre ever ended up dating. I can't see it happening. Rigo + Jolyre and Gio + Kasumi. Miya + Suri or someone else, but Miya would probably think everyone's too young for her. Alne + Harrier or Orin. I'm just being random now.

Kasumi: *sticks out tounge at Rigo* It's not nice to listen in on a girl closely.
I can see it happening. And its going to be awsome. I just know it. *dances around* love this rp/occ

*Blushes profusely* Uuummm... I-I.... *Doesn't know how to handle being the object of a crush*
((Draco: I think Jolyre and Rigo could make a good couple, at least once Jolyre starts making some character development for herself. When she starts losing the anger they could get along quite well. After all, they both were raised to be dignified and noble individuals. I actually was planning to have Gio have a crush on Jolyre at one point, but I really don't know how that would work. Such a relationship between those two would literally be impossible, but I hope they can get to the point where even Jolyre cares about what happens to Gio.))

You know what? Kasumi very much reminds me of a certain character... (Skip to 8:50 on the time, it's a long video) Granted, she is more innocent and less in-your-face than Meru, but she definitely has the same peppy and dancing nature. Every time you say that Kasumi does a dance, I imagine her doing one of the twirls Meru does in this video. Also, I just realized that eventually I plan for Kai's abilities to be very much like that of Lloyd, from the same game. He'll be insanely fast, a whiz with his sword, and he'll have cool attacks like in the second half of the video. For any who are interested, this video can show all of the unique transformations in that game, which is one of my favorites, trumping even many of the FFs. The Dragoons are one of the most original concepts I have ever seen, and you could all probably get a little inspiration from the unique magic spells that are in this game. (Warning, it is a little long, but it has lots of eye-candy. It's part of what made the game so fun, on top of the additions system.)

Rigo: *sighs, ignores Kasumi, and looks at the blushing Gio* Don't act that way. Why do I feel like I'm babysitting two kids? I'm starting to feel like my forefather...
---
Yeah, Drac, you do have a point. And technically,Jo and Rigo both lost their remaining parents at the same time.
No, I could see Gio and Jolyre falling for each other if Gio retains his nobility training and doesn't create sporks to throw at others and of course, if Jolyre gets rid of that anger and starts to acknowledge Gio without Rigo.
Oh, and there's Meru sweatdrop Albert sometimes reminds me of Rigo. I don't remember much. Rose can be similar to Miya.

Heh, yeah, but Joyre's a beast all her own. No Legend of Dragoon equivalent of her, except perhaps Roses more violent and harsh side. However Miya is very much like Rose's caring and motherly side. I think Miya is very much that kind of motherly character. *Cough*
Gio: I'll try harder, I honestly was only behaving like that for the purpose of OOC. In the RP, I definitely won't act like that, but it will take a while for the self-esteem required for that noble raising to come about.
(Draco: Crap, it looks like we could have a love-triangle or two here. I hate to hurt feelings, but my character is writing himself and I can't really say how things will turn out.)

lol that video was funny. Yes Kasumi is much more innocent. I won't start throwing punches anytime soon. Love triangles are fun though. It adds jealousy and that is always fun in an rp.

That's Meru for you. That pretty much summarizes her in one short event. xd She is very much the life of their little party.

That's a good thing that your character is writing himself. That usually means that you're completely in character. *nod* It completely hasn't happened for Rigo quite yet...
Don't worry. If there's a love triangle that have both Rigo and Gio in it, Rigo will most likely let go for Gio because he's Rigo.
