panicking now, the girls gave small whimpers as they held hands tightly, too terrified to try anything with their powers. They could feel that dark energy creeping towards them, could see it carress the creatures around them. That alone was enough to terrify them, but what was worse, so so much worse for them, was when they heard the twisted sound of a woman laughing. Consumed with fear the two curled up and let out loud screams, shaking slightly as their intense magic pulsed through every inch of the place.


As the fire neared, it revealed the eyes to belong to two young girls near the age of four, both of whom were knocked over when the flames hit them. Sitting up with tears in their eyes, the little girls started to cry, and would've persisted to do so until they fell asleep had it not been for the sudden wave of fire and ice magic that reverbiated through the tunnel. "mommies!" hey frowned, rushing past him to where the door used to be. "mommies! Mommmmies!" they cried, trying to dig through the cave wall.

Miles shielded himself from the magic and then heard a crackling noise as the iron bars that held the doors shut began to crack from being exposed to the intense cold and heat simultaneously. Standing, he limped down a hallway that branched off of it, closing the door behind him and sealing it as before. Once again casting a light spell, he found himself in a short hallway with a flight of stone stairs at the end. Carefully working his way up the stairs, he could smell fresh air. At the top of the stairs was another short hall that turned. Reaching the end, he found himself at a dead end with a hole in the wall at eye level. From where he was, he could see the hole that he had fallen in the far distance. How far had he gone?

the young toddlers gave tiny sniffs as they fell through the door, only to find their mothers gone. letting out a small whine, the girls quickly spun an looked around. "mister...?" they pouted, going back the way they came. looking around carefully, one of them gave a small whistle and smiled softly as a vine sprouted under her feet, slowly showing them the way to him. "u-uhm..... mister.... please..... c-can you... can you help us.....?" they sniffed, holding hands tightly.

Miles could hear the girls talking through the door he had sealed off. He had fused it with the wall so they couldn't get through, but that didn't mean he was any less terrified of them. Standing on his bad leg, he began to kick the wall separating him from the outside world. The bricks began to shift slightly, and then gave way creating a hole big enough for him to crawl out of. Turning back to the hole he created, he brought up a stone pillar and sealed off the hole with it, then limped back to the hole he had fallen through. One of the creatures was beginning to crawl out of it and he blasted it with a lightning bolt spell, killing it and making it fall back into the hole, its flesh burned and smoking.

"Rose! Lilly! Where are you!?"

Summoning a dancing sword, he called out to the girls again as the sword beheaded another creature coming out of the hole.

the little girls were right behind him, clinging to two small dragons that were just big enough for the toddlers to ride on. "th-their gone.... gramma got 'em...." they sniffed, looking down. "our mommies are gone again...."

and truly, they were gone; the only signs of their existence was the sun that still burned at the ceiling of the cave, and two small scraps of their dresses that had gotten ripped off.

Miles saw the light coming from the whole and looked in, but only saw the scraps of the dresses.

"Girls!?"

Where had they gone?

help..... the cry was soft inside his head, barely noticeable.
help.... it came again, slowly gaining presence in his thoughts.
don't let her hurt us....... the girl's voices cried in his mind, the small scraps of fabric glowing slightly.

Miles grabbed his head.

"What in the name of Gilead's balls is that!?"

He knelt down over the hole and went to close it with a spell when he noticed the glowing clothes. Using a spell to bring the scraps to him, he grabbed them. (He has gloves on right now, for the record.) Setting them down next to the hole, he sealed it and marked the spot with a second spell that would summon his father to this same location, though it would take several days for the spell to be heard.

Lugh went flying past Miles on his way to the school, scaring the poor half-dragon nearly to death with the sound.

Miles had heard a loud whine that was getting progressively louder and he looked up and saw a man with arms and legs that seemed to have wheels attached to them fly past him at high speed, the noise scaring him senseless as he fell onto his butt.

"What kind of a creature was that!?"

letting out small sighs as they watched him, the little girls went over slowly and bit their lips. "you otay.....?" they murmured, tipping their heads to the side. now in the light, it was easy to tell that they were somehow related to Rose and Lilly; their small faces were fairly similar to their mothers', and the air about them gave off the same calming effect. "mister.... can you help us save our mommies...?" they muttered, looking at him with wide eyes.

Miles stumbled back and tripped over his feet, landing on his butt for the second time in a matter of minutes.

"How did you get out!? I sealed the wall shut! You should be trapped in there. Who are you? What are you?"

He put up a shield spell to keep them from getting too close to him until he knew what they were. These were no ordinary little girls.

chewing on their lips as they looked at him they gave tiny sighs and held hands. i'm lavender and I'm coco. we're elemental's...." they cooed softly, smiling at him.

"Elementals? What are those?"

Elementals didn't exist on Miles' homeworld, so he didn't know anything about them.

"its... something our mommies can explain better...." they mumbled, looking to the ground.
"but.... it means that we have power over a specific element." Lavender murmured, sighing as small vines slowly started to grow from under her toes
"each member of our family has a different element.... including us." Coco grinned, a few animals coming towards her.
"so far, there are..." they paused for a moment, counting on their fingers quickly. "e-eleven.... of us....?" they murmured, struggling to say the number. "but our mommas say that there's gonna be 'nother one soon.... so...there'll be.......whats 'leven plus one??"

Miles began mumbling to himself in another language. Control over an individual element? That would make them the most powerful creatures when it comes to controlling that specific element. And these two little girls were elementals...

"So what are your elements?"
