Crobat Trainer

Henrietta couldn't quite believe what was happening; people were panicking and her friends weren't even Rockets.
Shouts from behind kind of indicated some Rockets might actually be around, but she was certain Rosie and Luke weren't.

As cool as it was to see a Crobat, the young girl decided the trainer in front of them was being stupid.
"Gummy! Water Gun it!" She called, as she decided to hop the chair. Sure, Gummy could take the bat in a pokémon battle, but this wasn't a fun battle, and this trainer didn't have a gun- as far as she knew.
As her Totodile 'woke up' and, rather calmly, aimed a Water Gun at the Crobat, she decided to try and push the man away.
"Look! They're not Rockets and you're not gonna act like a Rocket just cuz you think they are!"

Akira, Rosie, Nicolette, Henrietta

One of the trainers accusing him released a Crobat, adding an unwanted degree of gravity to the situation. He stood firm, a hand near his pokeballs but no companion yet released into the growing fray. He wasn't particularly fond of the idea of getting mixed up in a major confrontation over a misunderstanding, especially not with perfectly innocent trainers.

And speaking of perfectly innocent trainers, there were an awful lot of those around him right now. As Henrietta ordered an attack against their apparent opponent's Crobat - mind you, the sentiment behind her attack was sound - he extended a hand entreatingly, "Hey, don't let them provoke you! There's no reason to fight here. In fact," a severity came to his tone, a seriousness that surpassed a simple request, "I'd really appreciate it if you all would get away from this commotion. It's not you guys they're trying to fight." And he really wasn't interested in the possibility of seeing people injured on his account.

Faleen
The girl had been expecting the shown Rocket to react, but the sudden shimmer of a seemingly perfectly fine trainer and her Furret confused her - especially when said girl reached towards the man her Puffy had just attacked. “You... You’re one of them too?” She gasped, one hand moving to her mouth as she took a step back.

Alphonse the grunt stumbled to his feet as he gripped the woman’s hand who touched his shoulder. If he hadn’t seen her Zoroark use an illusion on them before coming in, he never would’ve recognized her. “Yeah,” he replied, “yeah I’m good.”

“You are one of them!” The girl shouted, pointing at Faleen, not even stopping to consider she might be defending a fellow trainer like Rosie was.

Henrietta, Luke, Rosie, Akira
The Crobat took the Water Gun with a blink and ceased circling, instead looking down at the Totodile that attacked it. With another shrill cry, it sent an Air Cutter straight towards the green water-type.

Its trainer stayed his ground, frowning heavily down at the girl in front of him. “I don’t think, I know,” he said, gesturing widely with one hand to the screens overhead. “They said Rockets were in those pictures, and he,” he pointed with his other hand at Luke, “was in one of those pictures. Of Rockets. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what that means!”

Nicolette covered her mouth with her hands yet again, still completely unsure of how to react to this entire situation. It was all rather frightening actually, with everyone up and panicking and bringing out pokemon, but Luke’s tones held an authority not usually present, and it swayed her to move to Henrietta’s side, a hand extended. “Here, come on - let’s go,” she offered, though it was more a plea than a suggestion.

Izaya
Inigo stumbled backwards from the shove of some random trainers still endeavoring to reach the exit as quick as possible, causing him to trip slightly and bump into some blonde guy with a fedora. He probably would’ve recognized Izaya if he had been present when Faleen’s Zoroark had used an illusion, but since he wasn’t, he didn’t, and he held up a hand in an apology. “Sorry!”

All Rockets
Another message buzzed on each ‘dex:
Cops are here. Get out ASAP.

Everyone because join the wave! You’re probably stuck in it anyway
The simultaneous beeps caused two more of the Rockets to briefly make eye contact. Yeah, time to go. The duo began shoving through the crowds for the exit.

Bruno was walking around the table the panel had been seated at, now holding a Pokeball of his own. “Well, well. We were told it would be likely you lot would find a way to sneak a few in.” He stepped down from the platform. “It is nice of you to not disappoint.”

Cynthia facepalmed at her colleague’s words and behavior. Really? “Everyone needs to calm down and return all of their pokemon immediately! If everyone calms down, we can solve this without fighting.”

Bruno turned and sent her a flat, disbelieving look. “I think we may have missed that one.” He jabbed a thumb in the directions of the Totodile and then the rabid Furret. As if on cue, one of the Rockets attempting to flee released a charging Rhyhorn. The assistants and guards barricading the door had little choice but to dive out of the way as the stoney creature barrelled through, some doing so with an indignant or demeaning yelp or scream. The two Rockets followed after - as did a number of panicking trainers, and a wave of them began heading for the same broken door as fast as they could -- pushing and shoving if they had to.

Bruno watched with raised brows, turned to Cynthia, shrugged, and charged after them into the main convention hall. “HOO HAH!”

The blonde champion simply gave the man an incredulous look for a few moments before she sunk her face into her hand with a heavy sigh. She and Alder moved to follow, Cynthia’s Glaceon following at her heels. Glacia stayed to oversee the mess in the conference room, shouting over the din for people to please calm down and return their Pokemon.

((Everyone can make one post of either your character(s) running out into the main portion of the hotel, or if they avoided the crowds and stayed in the conference room instead! Either way, just one post for right now!))

Luke, Rosie, Nicolette, Henrietta

Akira turned to Luke, his eyes cold. "No, they're not," he said calmly "But they shouldn't be trying to fight anyone right now, least of all you. Maybe they'll realize that they're making a mistake if enough of us stand by you," he said in low tones. "That's what friends do, after all."

Taking out a Friend ball, the brunet released a Leafeon in front of him. Happa looked at him curiously. He wasn't a fighter, after all.

"Happa, just stay," he told the pokemon. "Defend if necessary, but these people are attacking because they're confused. No need to hurt anyone."

Happa nodded in understanding and sat at their feet on his haunches, ears alert. Seeing the Air Cutter, however, he gave a cry and leapt up to meet it with Razor Leaf. There weren't too many, just enough to block the air.

"Are you dense?!" Akira yelled at the trainer. "Why in the world would he go out with that face if he was a Rocket?! Wouldn't he use some sort of disguise? Use your brain!"

Two Rockets, Girl with Pidgey,

The Trainer who had attacked the rockets went completely ignored, though the Furret that had once again retreated to Faleen's side kept her eye on the girl and her pokemon, glancing around uneasily.

Getting the message Faleen frowned,
"Mission aborted" She told the two Rockets she was with "Don't hesitate, use the crowd, get out, get out NOW!"
Allowing them to get up Faleen stood as well, taking a second to glance around... where the hell was Izaya.

Ranking Agent, and her partner was missing, she knew Rockets were scattered around and she had no idea where they might be and if they could get away.
People began to shove her, causing her arms to rise up to try and keep herself from being pushed around.
"Get out to the hall, we can't do anything in here."
The League members were starting to stir as well, there was no chance they could stand up to them.

only able to hope that Izaya was out there, Faleen allowed herself to be pushed along within the crowd, going out into the main hotel hall.

Luke, Henrietta, Akira, kid with Crobat

Henrietta's attack was the last thing Rosie wanted for this situation, Luke seemed to have the same idea, Henrietta was called back, and Nicolette seemed to take to Luke's advice to leave. Rosie was glad that the younger of the group would not be in harms way. Rosie however just stepped closer to Luke, looking at him
"I'm not leaving you." she replied back

She once again addressed the trainer when he continued on in his accusing, "You have a right to think that, I know that it looks like that and I know you're just acting because you want to protect people and pokemon, but look. Look he's not fighting back! we're not going to fight you, We'll stand and wait and get this figured out. Just please stop fighting, Luke's not going to hurt anyone."

Crobat Trainer, Akira, Rosie, Nicolette, Henrietta

"All right," Luke said to the angry trainer, raising his hands in a clear gesture of surrender, "I'll turn myself in to whoever would make you happiest, so calm down and call off your pokemon. These people aren't involved, and I have no intention of fighting."

Akira's words attracted his attention, answering the cold stare with his own heated, "Or they'll assume you're Rockets too because you're defending me and this will get even more out of hand. Hell, they can arrest me for all I care. The bottom line is that it's an honest mistake and it's stupid to fight here, so just get away already and let me take care of it." It was his own fault for not thinking to report his brother's status when it was relevant.

At least Nicolette was being compliant, thank goodness, but Rosie, perhaps predictably, was not. His hands remaining raised, clear of any pokeballs or even concealed weapons the trainer could have possibly imagined him carrying, he responded to Rosie's refusal in obvious agitation, "Please."

Luke, Rosie, Akira, Nicolette, Crobat Trainer

"It doesn't matter it's not us! We know that's not you and it's not far that they're trying to attack you!" Henrietta complained, replying to Luke, stubbornly holding her position for a moment, and ludicrously being a small girl with a starter trying to intimidate the trainer with the Crobat. "Yeah! It doesn't take a genius! D'ya think we'd all be friends, especially her," She didn't indicate who she was talking about, but given Rosie had been in the pictures, being stolen from, she thought it might be obvious "if he was that Rocket in the photo?!"

Gummy was about to take the Air Cutter, but discovered it to be mostly taken out of the air; he weathered what got through, but it wasn't likely he could take much of that attack if it was left alone next time.
Henrietta was about to call another attack, regardless of what the League people had said, and Luke's instructions, when Nicolette was there.
"I can totally take him!" She started to protest, about the opposing trainer, but the tone left her to slump her shoulders slightly before taking the other girl's hand. "Fine... C'mon Gummy!" She called, causing the Totodile to abandon his battle, snap up his plushie, and waddle, unconcerned, toward the trainers... And the swell of the crowd.
"We could totally take him though!" She felt bad about not following through on the battle, and teaching the guy a lesson, but Nicolette had sounded scared so she ought to look after her! She was a bit scared herself, honestly, though could never admit that and so, on some level, the other girl's hand had been a bit of a welcome excuse.

Faleen

Trying not to fall over with the force of the people pushing and shoving him, Izaya held onto his hat and did his best to go with the flow, almost laughing aloud when he thought he recognized Inigo's voice. He barely got a chance to pause when his dex beeped, so it was with some difficulty that he pulled it out and read the message.

"Heh..." Seemed like it was time to go. But really, the informant wasn't as worried as he probably should have been. His confidence in his ability to talk himself out of anything was what stood between himself and fear. No, he just needed some time to think and plan.

A few minutes later, the man with the fedora potted Faleen and waved to her, trying to get her attention. This time he really was trying to fight his way through the throng of people to get to her, but seemed to have an extra hard time doing so.

Luke, Henrietta, Rosie, Nicolette, Crobat Trainer

"Pardon my saying so," Akira answered Luke in steady tones, "but regardless of whether they think we're all Rockets or not, it's not going to do any good if you single yourself out. When people are in mobs like this, they get carried away and can do horrible things to one person. 'Mob mentality'. At least if we're with you, we can stand our ground until the proper authorities arrive and sort this all out."

His gaze had softened and it seemed it had been chilly previously solely due to the reaction of the other trainer. "I may not know you as well or be as close to you as some people here," he admitted, "but this is the most logical, practical solution."

Henrietta
The young noble gratefully took the younger trainer’s hand and, after a quick glance that her Totodile wouldn’t be left behind, moved with the crowd towards the opened door. She was actually quite scared of everything going on, everything was so loud and panicked and noisy and she hadn’t even a single idea of what to do or how to handle it, and instead followed the crowds like a frightened Mareep.

Convention hall
Henrietta, Nicolette

All who exited into the main hall would quickly discover that escape would not be so easy. A wave of police--many wearing uniforms indicative of nearby towns, namely Sagestone and Sandalwood--had by now flooded into the main hall and had the conference room doors completely surrounded. Attendees and vendors alike had been evacuated to makeshift waiting areas outside of the impressive building, leaving the expansive room completely empty, save for the police and their various pokemon that were ready to receive everyone flooding out into the main hall. Trainers that reached the police first were encouraged to please calm down, everything will be fine - while keeping them all surrounded within a large human circle. Large Arcanines helped their human partners, standing along the circle at various points to encourage panicked trainers to stay where they were, blocking them in like large furry walls. A number of police officers with Growlithes patrolled around the outside of the circle, ensuring that everyone stayed inside it.

Once in the main hall, Cynthia moved to the edge of the circle and was allowed to pass outside it, and she raised her hands to call for everyone’s attention. “Everyone! Please calm down - I know everyone’s upset or frightened, but please calm down. I promise you that no harm will come to you or your pokemon, just please, calm down and return them! The easiest way to handle this is to cooperate and show your licenses and registrations once more, so that we can verify your innocence - and confirm suspicions of any Team Rocket presence that may have gotten through.” She half-turned and gestured to a group of police a few feet away, wearing slightly different uniforms and carrying laptop bags. Hotel staff were already bringing out folding tables on top of which the various men placed their burdens. Once opened, laptops were pulled out with which to perform more thorough checks on the trainers to ascertain if they were legitimate trainers, or Rockets. Of course, the more obvious indicator would be anyone trying to force their way out.

-----

Conference room
Akira, Luke, Rosie

“No - are you dense?!” A second trainer near the first stopped to yell at Akira, then pointed off towards one of the other harassed Rockets. “Did you not see back there that there’s more and they’re not in disguises?”

The Crobat’s trainer threw his hands into the air. “Yes! See? Thank you! I’m not the only one who’s not blind!” The number of trainers standing up to him, though, at least seemed to bother him a little, so he folded his arms and glared at Luke. “Fine - you can not fight if you want, but I’m not letting you out of my sight until we do get you turned in.” At the very least, his Crobat continued circling overhead and refrained from attacking further.

Izaya
Izaya would find his advances made even more difficult. In moving so far away from his partner, the illusion surrounding him had begun to flicker and deteriorate, until it gave out completely. A woman just ahead of him noticed with a shrill cry. “Another one!” she yelled, pointing urgently. “He was in the pictures!”

Faleen, Luke, Rosie, Akira
The grunts by her nodded in unison, and one pulled out a pokeball. A flash of white light revealed a Donphan, and the pokemon snorted in mild irritation at the noise and sheer number of people. “Get us out of here!” The grunt ordered, pointing to the door and all the people standing - or trying to move outside - between them. With a bellow, the Donphan curled into a ball and barreled towards the set of closed double-doors in a Rollout. Trainers had to either jump out of the way or be knocked out of the way from the rolling pokemon, and displaced chairs bounced or were flung away as it went - headed straight for Luke, Rosie and Akira.

Inigo managed to follow the crowds out into the main hallway, though came to a standstill with the rest as he found himself - and, indeed, everyone - surrounded by the police. A strong of Spanish curses floated through his head. They were trapped. They could fly out, sure, but then they'd know for sure and probably shoot them down or something - and then what? Oh Arceus, he should never have come on this mission. With his anxiety rising, the grunt craned his neck around to try and spot any, even one, of his teammates. Maybe they'd know what to do.

Nicolette, Convention Hall

Gummy, apparently, wasn't going to let himself get left behind, and, despite his usual behaviour, was rather used to keeping up with Henrietta in busy environments. Nothing quite like this though.
Unfortunately, his Totodile plush was slowing the reptile down, so he snapped his jaws, twice, losing it in one of these snaps, and freeing himself up for a slightly quicker pursuit-waddle.
The inanimate, normal coloured, Totodile was soon swallowed somewhere under the crowd, while Gummy waddled all the way until he bumped into the back of Henrietta's legs.

Henrietta kept hold of Nicolette's hand, choosing to remain behind her and let her lead their path out, but keeping hold so as not to get separated, and to make sure she could 'look after' the other girl. The crowd wasn't pleasant to be in, and she, even following along, was getting bumped about and collecting a few bruises.
"Are you all right?" She called, as they had to halt once they got into the main room where the police and officials were setting things up. "We're totally nearly out! No Rockets are gettin' out of here with us!"

The purple-haired trainer frowned at the idea of recalling her pokémon; she didn't want to put Gummy away, especially in a place that was, admittedly, getting kind of scarier and scarier. She felt the reassuring bump of the reptile on the back of her legs.

Luke, Akira Kid with Crobat

This wasn't fare, why was this always happening? All they ever wanted to do was help people, never meaning people harm and just trying to do the best they could for this island. and now, just because of some pictures they.
Luke had to surrender, probably the only move that he could do right now, and at least it seemed to calm the other trainer down.

But this wasn't fare, they aim to fight at Team Rocket, instead they're having to defend one of their own against Trainers.
Rosie's shoulders were tense, not taking her eyes off of the boy who had sent his Crobat out on them. weakly she shook her head once in reply to Luke, She wasn't going anywhere.

A noise behind her, drew the pink trainers attention, the sight of something barreling down the seating, and more alarmingly, toward them.
a hand shot to her belt, tossing out one of the pink balls that she had.
A shiny Lopunny dashed forward, from the shimmering pink lights, and with a furious cry threw one of her legs out in a sharp kick toward the advancing pokemon to try and knock it off course.

Crobat's trainer, Other trainer, Luke, Rosie

"That's a double negative," Akira muttered, frowning at the Crobat's trainer. "Too confusing. Anyway," he said, shaking his head, "they didn't know they were going to be identified, but he did." He sighed, giving up.

Even if he could get that through to them that Luke's brother had already passed away and that Luke had already known he was a real Rocket, he wouldn't want to say more than Rosie or Luke himself would have wanted others to know. It wasn't his information to give; in fact, he wasn't even supposed to know such things himself.

"Suit yourself," the shop clerk told the other man. "That's what we're waiting for as well. We wouldn't still be standing here otherwise."

While the Crobat refrained from attacking, a Donphan came bowling through the doors in a Rollout. Akira was so startled, he hardly had time to move out of the way. He fell to his knees with a yelp of alarm, getting briefly scraped and cut as the pokemon passed by. Happa, seeing his trainer injured, instantly went to Akira's side, trying to stay out of the way. He didn't want to fight, but he didn't want to get injured, either.

Random woman in the conference room

Well, it seemed like he really had no choice now. With an emotionless smile at the woman who had given him away, he took out two pokeballs from each of his pockets and tossed them up into the air, one in each hand. His red eyes never left the woman's face as they glinted in the shadows cast by the fedora hat. "Are you sure...?" he asked her.

Instantly there were twin flashes of red light and suddenly three Rockets with Izaya's face and appearance were attempting to make a getaway. One or two attempted a few fancy stunts with the furniture already in the building, practicing a little indoor parkour.

Rosie, Akira, Luke

The Lopunny's attack was sudden and unexpected, and the Donphan veered away from Luke and Rosie with a sharp cry, but instead barreled past Akira. With a furious cry, the ground-type veered past the injured trainer and ran towards Pop in an attention to Slam her into the ground.
