Kenny Omega would somehow counter, countering with a Northern lights suplex. Fans would be astonished.

Omega would attempt to wait for Roode to get back up to his feet!

Bobby Roode would reach his feet after his opponent's surprising counter! Arriving to his feet right in time for a waiting Omega.

Omega would attempt to charge at Roode going for a quick superkick of his own to only stun him for the moment!

 

[Glorious Bobby Roode]

Omega's superkick would connect, leaving Roode stunned.

Omega would lift up Roode onto his shoulders once again into the electric chair position, then going for his finishing move, The One Winged Angel!!

Bobby Roode would attempt to slid behind Kenny Omega after being lifted, waiting for him to turn his attention towards Roode!

 

[Kenny Omega]

Omega would turn around to Roode after once again not hitting the One-Winged Angel!  

[Glorious Bobby Roode]

Bobby Roode would attempt to grab a hold of Kenny Omega's arm and pull him down to the mat, eventually transitioning to a crossface submission after not successfully being able to make him tap earlier in the match.

 

[Kenny Omega]

Omega would attempt to quickly escape it and try to grab Roode's arm and wrap it around his waist trying to get up at the same time!  

[Glorious Bobby Roode]

Bobby Roode's crossface would only last for a few seconds before Kenny Omega would escape and force both competitors back onto their feet at the same time.  

[Kenny Omega]

Omega would have his arm wrapped his waist, as Omega would attempt to go for another variation of his move, the "Rain-Trigger"!

 

[Glorious Bobby Roode]

Bobby Roode would pick while being gripped from the side and slam Omega to the mat with a sidewalk slam!

 

[Kenny Omega]

Omega was hit with the sidewalk slam!

The fans were at awe of what the two men were willing to do to win this match, it was unbelievable how much effort and resiliency both were showing in this opening match. Bobby Roode was tired, confused, battered and all of the above. But he couldn't quit till his hand was raised. He would drift up to his feet, staggering but holding his ground and begin taunting Kenny.
