The Docks ~The RP~

In the light of the moon, Talus crunches through the fresh snow of the dock district. What better place to begin your own rule? The docks have the most corruption of any place of any city on any world. Walking towards a smaller passenger vessel that had recently docked their that morning.
Every passenger ship carries at least one person who can be helpful, no matter how small. This ship was definitely not going to be an exception. The ship had the usual sailor, pilgrim and merchant.
As expected, there was at least one curious passenger. A furred humanoid. There were enough people to be kept out of site for the time being and someone as peculiar as her. A half-breed may be partially immune or have resistances to his power, but at full force he should be able to at least cause her to spare his death.
As she excited the ship onto the docks, he slowly followed her using the flow of the crowd as a simple cover.

JEAN-PHILLIPE DELACROIX

As the ship slowly came to a stop in the docks, a man smiled at the softness of the moonlight. Jean-Phillipe Delacroix had finally arrived to Byako, the so-called city of everything. "This should be an interesting stay" said the vampire as he walked over to the edge of the boat and floated slowly down onto the docks, the devilish smile permanently etched into his face. The boat was devoid of any life, the crew either killed for blood or thrown overboard when they became troublesome. "Now where to go first? I'm already here at the docks, there might be some fun to be had around" said the vampire as he slipped from shadow to shadow, looking for an unsuspecting victim to torment.

Two figures hid in the shadows, one doing most of the hiding while the other gave off too much a Light aura to be truly hidden from those that dwelled in the shadows. "Think we have enough authority to handle this one?" she asked her partner.

"If we don't, then we have enough power to deal with it at least. Between me being a powerful half demon princess and you being half elf with control over water and earth, it should be easy enough to detain him til we can get ahold of Caly." the second said. Sapphire, crimson and silver eyes peered out from their hiding spot, watching as the vampire wandered off. But she would be able to find him; it worked being part demon. Her cat ears twitched as she listened closley to all that lay around her, her long tail swaying gently as she looked back at the half elf she traveled with.

"It was a good thing we decided to come visit Caly then." the half elf smiled faintly.

"Of course Alsti." the demonling grinned. "Between the three of us, things will certainly get even more intersitng than they are I'm sure."

JEAN-PHILLIPE DELACROIX

As the vampire lurked in the shadows of the docks, following a young lady on who he planned to feed, he could feel eyes on him. "Ah, so there are wolves hiding amongst the sheep. This could be fun" said Delacroix, moving at an impossible speed and grabbing the lady by the neck, pulling her into the shadows as he fed from her. The lady made no sound as her body was slowly drained of life, the lack of oxygen sending her into an euphoric fit before finally expiring.

"And now, to dispose of the body" said Delacroix, lowering the corpse slowly into the water and letting the cavities fill up with the liquid before letting her go, slashing key parts of her anatomy so that decomposing gases could escape and wouldn't make her float up again. The vampire learned a long time ago that bodies were a nuisance, so he'd learned quite a few ways to dispose of them effectively.

What they had just felt happen and then see was something that both women did not like one little bit. Instantly both called on magic, one glowing a faint blue and the other glowing a silvered lavender.

Together they summoned a wall surrounding the general area that the vampire was in, successfully trapping him. "This cannot go unpunished....especially in Karaneshii territory." the half elf said, a frown marring her otherwise gentle face.

Seri nodded, "We'd be viewed as poor Guardians if we let this pass." She wound her magic tighter through the area, casually walking towards where she could sense the creature of darkness."

Alsti slowly started following, calling on her more advanced protection spells as she did so, keeping then swarming around her small frame for the moment, in case they were needed. Hopefully they would be able to handle this swiftly and without any complications...particularly those that would need Lord Cy and Lady Caly's touch and ruling.

Caught by a second by the blue glow to his left, Talus turned and saw two women creating a force field of some sort, tonight was his night.

He walked over to the woman and stared at the one glowing in a silvery shade. Deeply into her eyes he looked, and greeted her warmly, his eyes remained cold and uncaring though, looking deeply into her eyes as if piercing into her very soul.

"Good evening ladies, what kind of magic do we have here?"

The smooth flow of his own voice almost caught even him up, but he never let his guard down. He moved his eyes looking back and forth into her's. Moving left and right, left and right in a trance like motion and attempting to pull her into his trance.

Serenity was aware of the newcomer, signaling Alsti to tie their magic up so they could take some time to see what the new person was about. It was a little odd that he kept looking into her eyes. Something wasn't right about him.

But it wasn't as if it affected her. She was half demon afterall, and that thought nearly made her giggle. She caught herself in time, but then turned her slender body to face that of the male's.

"Magic that we could simply turn on you if the situation warranted it,' Seri said with a slight shrug.

alsti frowned slightly, disaproving Seri's tone for the moment, but didn't say anything. Even so, she looked at the male herself and asked, "Is there something we could help you with? If we cannot, we can direct you to Lady Caly, Leader of Karaneshii."

Opening his palms wide with his arms to his side, Talus made a gesture to show he was unarmed, thought it went unnoticed the rubies had an arcane presence, using his weak arcane powers and the mesmerism gems on each palm he continued to talk, with an unnoticed beat to attract the subconscious part of her mind.

"I'm not here to harm you guys. I'm here to see why your assaulting this young man here."

Talus opened his mind to the strange flow of the arcane in Byako. A similar but changed power entered his bones and went to the palms of his hand, turning the ordinary gems into something of lust. A gem that the victim felt was so beautiful, they had no choice but to stare deep into it and wish they controlled them.

Emily wanders to the Docks. SHe lifts her ears and sifts through voices again searching for the voice. It was almsot silent and she sighed.

Feeling no one here she elft in search of another place to listen,

"We are not assaulting the man," Seri said firmly, "He has come into the territory we are watching over for Lady Caly and commited murder of a young girl before our eyes. We are merely trying to discover why he could not just take what he wanted, but release her safely." she shrugged slightly. She tangled her fingers in the swirl of hers and Alsti's magic in the shield before them, her eyes glancing away from the young man. She knew of what he was attempting to do, but she wasn't so easily prey. Over 6 centuries of life did that to a person.

Alsti was quiet, nodding along with her partner. Her attention was partially on the conversation, and on the shield with the vampire inside. But she also discovered a small plant at her feet. She crouched down a little and lifted a hand over the plant, gently touching the small leaves. A little of her natural powers with plants came out. The plant seemed to perk up immensely at the touch of a part elf.

He spoke again in his hypnotic tone, hoping for the incomplete mental bond he had been making to be strong enough for suggestions. "I say you let him go and interrogate him before binding him. You should hear his story on why he did this before you take him in on possibly falsified accounts."

"And that is where you take a misstep, youngling." Seri said, a glint in her eyes revealing that anger was starting to spark. With that, so were a few of her powers, but she used enough control that nothing was evident yet. "The magic we use here," she gestured towards the shield, "is nothing of the sort that binds. It is merely a shield, a wall, you can say. We are trying to have him come to us so that we may speak."

Alsti glanced up from the plant she was befriending to add, "To speak with him is also to find out his reasonings behind his actions. We are not some heartless, arrogant nobles of such that would kill without a thought. We are more than that." the gentle half elf then straightened to her slender height, her green eyes for the male before them.  

[Krazylicious]

"A confinement, a binding, a wall; they are hardly different. That wall around him acts to confine him and is therefore fetters. I think it would be much more fun to chase a creature of the night than to cage him before seeing what you can observe, but you seem to be upholders of law, meaning you should go for a much more civil interrogation instead of engaging in a full speed chase in the pitch black."

Nearly invisible, in closed palms, Talus slipped a small point into his glove for use if this fight was to get rowdy.

With some more of his suggestion he continued, "Why don't we release this man and see what he has to defend himself."
