I think one would need to look at the dislike in a more in-depth way for it to be completely legitimate. XD Like it would probably be much more difficult to assure that two characters are in love if one vows eternal hatred for another due to the other having murdered their entire family or something. You could definitely do sexual situations between the two, but actual relationships or love would be far more difficult to make realistic, instead of just fangirlish fantasy. On the other hand, if two characters seem to argue/bother each other or get angry at each other all the time, without much of a reason, then that could easily be seen as them masking affections for one another, using dislike as a defense. Makes the possibility of a relationship between the two more reasonable.

... are you making references, ma'am? xd
I see what you mean... I don't do fangirlish fantasy for full blown relationships, though, so it's all good... I might ship crack from time to time, but even I try to justify it when I do XD It's just a thing I do, I guess...

...actually, no, I just came up with two random scenarios that seem somewhat common in anime. XD;; What did you think I was referencing? And of course, there's nothing wrong with just fangirling over a pairing you think is hot. Alls I'm saying is good luck trying to convince people it could happen. <3

It seemed like you were referencing... Casteshipping/Darkshipping, and then Puppyshipping... or something like that XD The first one seemed pretty obvious, while the second one's a bit of a stretch...

I guess it does kind of sound like those two, but no, I wasn't thinking of any couples in particular. XD It just goes to show that both scenarios can be quite common in anime. Though in the case of Casteshipping (that's Thief Bakura/Atem, right?), I think the pairing would be a little more believable, since it wasn't actually Atem that ruined Thief King's life, not to mention he was possessed by Zork when he was trying to kill the Pharaoh. As for Puppyshipping, Jounouchi actually does have a good reason to hate Kaiba: Death T. Kaiba doesn't have so good of a reason though, so maybe he is masking feelings for Jounouchi. XD

Yes, Casteshipping is TKBakuraxAtem :3 And did TK even know that at first? It seemed that he was either trying to get revenge on Atem because it was his family in general that did it, or that he actually thought Atem did it... :/
And that's why my puppy example was a bit of a stretch XD I coulnd't think of anything else off of the top of my head...

It was kind of strange... I think TK knew it was the Pharaoh's court who murdered his village, but his revenge was probably more geared to the royal family in general, rather than the specific person who did it, since Atem would've only been a child at the time anyway. Not to mention, from one of the only small glimpses we get of the actual TK, he seems a lot more like Bakura Ryou than Yami no Bakura, and I would think that even though he had enough hatred in his heart to create Diabound, he may've never actually plotted such a horrible means of revenge against the kingdom. Just Zork manipulating him... I really wish there would've been more looked into on his past, so that we could know how his actual personality was. D: I think Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked fits that description. XD Not an anime, but there was definitely some sexual tension between the two, even though they did become friends after their initial loathing of each other.

Yeah... things get confusing when you've both read the manga version, and read the anime version, even though I never saw the dub of S5... S5 for the anime is almost like... in another universe or something; it's pretty different then the manga... the manga makes more sense XD
Ooo, yeah... they fought, they made friends, Elphaba might've even had more then friend feelings for Glinda... of course, this is coming from my knowledge when I've only read a little more then half of the book XD

Yeah, it is confusing. XP Duuude, you totally need to read the rest of the book! It's amazing. Wicked, It, the Harry Potter Series, and Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series are like my all-time favorite books! <3

Oh, that sucks. D: Well, even if you end up needing to restart it to recall everything, it's totally worth it. <3 I'm on my second read-through of the book at the moment. I hadn't read it since the beginning of high school, so it's nice how much better I understand it now.

I remember the story.. and I could pick it up at any time.. I'm just too busy reading FMA, YGO, and an actual book (Ring)... plus school... sad
But I'm going on vacation this weekend, so while I won't be around here ( T-T ) I can use it as an excuse to get out of the sun... that and more homework :3

Ooh, do you mean Ring as in the Japanese horror novel? I wanted to read that, but alas, only ended up ever reading Juon. It was very good though. :3 Have fun on your vacation! Where are you going?
