The manga gives an in depth charecterization of RYoko's past as well as what she did for that 700 years. And it's much better than what happens in Tokyo. So sorry, the manga fills the handful of positives that Tokyo ever had.

Which is why I deny that Tokyo ever existed. And GXP is only good for showing the world outside of Tenchi's.

*couch* GXP SUX! *ahem* excuse me... anyhow, yep yep, the Tokyo saga didn't do as well a job as the manga... I enjoyed the backstory to Ryoko's past in the manga, like the other Pirates that used to manipulate her and my favorite side character, Ibaru.

There's a difference between reading it and WATCHING it. Watching it is so much more exciting!! It's just not the same in terms of action gonk
