Emmanuel Elijah Jacobson
Arch-Angel ![User Image](https://i565.photobucket.com/albums/ss94/iketheswordsman/alchemist.jpg)
Eli was walking through a familiar hall. He didn't remember how he had arrived in the hall, or in the building. However those thoughts didn't really seem to cross his mind at this point. He began running down the hallway, the only light was the several candle-like torches on the walls. In the golden glow Eli could see movement, something small, a dog perhaps. As he approached the darkness the small crawling creature came into focus. It was not a small dog at all, but a small ice spider-whose venom seemed to flow from its pincers.
Eli reached for his sword, which was usually on his back, but it wouldn't come out of its scabbard. Eli tugged again, as the spider advanced, but the blade wouldn't reveal itself. The spider pounced, and Eli rolled from its reach, stopping in push-up position, then sprinting back the way he came.
Behind him came the angered squeaks of the spider, almost as though it were shouting, but not at him...Eli allowed himself one glance backward, and saw that the small spider was now accompanied by 2 larger spiders, and a second small. The 4 of them charged down the hallway, spiralling from floor, to wall, to ceiling and back.
Again Eli tugged at his sword and found it stuck, so he continued to sprint. His eyes flashed red, and he thrust his left arm behind him, sending a fireball at anything, but to no avail. The flames in his hand seemed to suck itself back into the hell it was spawned. While running Eli looked at his hand in disbelief, before he stopped in mid stride. He tried to move but felt forces holding him in place. He breathed heavily from his mouth and flame spurt from it, revealing to him the silk threads that held him. He had run into their web....They had trapped him.
Eli's eyes flared from red to white, as a blue orb matierialized around him, and he rolled from the web, and the 4 spiders. He smiled as his eyes faded back to their normal purple hue, and he ran again. He pulled his dagger from the small of his back, and nearly cried as it came out of it's sheath. Something was working!!
As one of the small spiders lept from the wall, Eli thrust his dagger into is abdomin, allowing for the green juice of its life to errupt from the spider. The blood burned his hands, and Eli dropped his dagger. As the small blade hit the ground, the stone-tile floor opened, and Eli was falling into black nothingness. Then he realized he was falling into the mouth of his Demon, the large being, whose eyes gleamed with Sin, and wings beat against the black sky. Then the Demon chompped down...
"Ahh!!" Eli opened his eyes with a shout, and sat up, swinging his dagger at nothing. He rolled from his bed, and managed to make it to the toilet before puking the digested remains of yesterday's kill. He had broken into a cold sweat, as fear clamped its cold claw around his heart. Eli closed his eyes, and began breathing heavily, keeping the panic away best he could. He spit, and flushed, standing from his crouched position, and turned on the sink. He dipped his hands in the icy water, and smacked it on his face. His breathing slowed to normal, and his panic and fear subsided.
Eli looked at his reflection in the mirror and saw only himself, normal on the outside. He took another handful of water and drank from it, spitting it out once more, and then slapping another handful on his face. He dried his face and hands, and walked back to his bed. He put on his shirt, and then his jacket. He picked up his sword, and pulled lightly on the hilt. The blade slid from it's sheath, and Eli replaced it, and strapped it on. Then he walked out of his room, down to the lobby, and back out onto the snowy streets of Flanys. The crisp air of snowfall at sawn stung at his nose, and Eli welcomed it. He walked aimlessly from the in, the snow melting with each foot-fall.
