*listens to Lily Allen's "Everything's Just Wonderful"*
I love listening to this song, especially when I keep thinking of the story that came into my mind when I first heard the song.
I imagined that the song is sung by the main female character ((portrayed by Lily Allen)) who works in a office. As she walks around, she hears the words of her co-workers around her - but she doesn't realize that the co-workers are *saying* them, it's their thoughts. Whenever the song goes to "Ah yes, I'm fine" and what not part, I always imagine her going into an elevator where there's a guy standing there. Our main gal begins to realize she's hearing her co-workers thoughts, when she realizes that the "Ah yes, I'm fine" part is her own thoughts; in other words, she doesn't hear the guy-in-the-elevator's thoughts. So when the song goes back through the past lyrics again, I imagine them looking more closely at the co-workers and other people as each particular line is being sung. And of course, the main gal and the elevator guy end up in a romantic relationship. xd

Since I'm bored, I'll go ahead and do the full detail of the little story that plays in my head for the song. 3nodding
---
[Lily stands waiting in an empty elevator as it goes up to the desired floor. The elevator doors open and she steps out, entering an office environment.]
Lily: Do you think, everything, everyone, is going mental,
It seems to me that it's spiraling outta control and it's inevitable,
Now don't you think,
[Lily hands a folder to one of her co-workers. She later is handed a folder from another co-worker]
Lily: This time is yours, this time is mine,
It's temperamental,
It seems to me, we're on all fours,
Crawling on our knees,
Someone help us please
[Lily begins to hear the thoughts of her fellow co-workers, as she passes by. She is unaware that it's their thoughts at this time.]
[Coworker #1 is at their desk, looking quite miserable, as if they are sick, or getting over a sickness.]
Coworker #1: Oh Jesus Christ almighty,
Do I feel alright? No not slightly,
[Coworker #2 is sitting in a conference room with Client #1 and #2, who's thoughts have drifted off away from the business at hand]
Coworker #2: I wanna get a flat I know I can't afford it,
It's just the bureaucrats who won't give me a mortgage,
[Client #1 and Client #2 appear to be a couple who are working on a divorce. Client #1 is very proud of themselves because they won the money in the divorce, despite some complications. Client #2 isn't very happy with the result, but acknowledges that sometimes things don't go your way in divorces]
Client #1: Well it's very funny cos I got your ******** money,
And I'm never gonna get it just because of my bad credit
Client #2: Oh well I guess I mustn't grumble,
I suppose that's just the way the cookie crumbles.
[Lily walks towards the elevator, and steps inside when the doors open. A guy is standing on one side. As the door closes and the elevator starts going, Lily begins to hear what she first thinks is the guy's thoughts, with the elevator music in the background.]
Oh yes, I'm fine,
Everything's just wonderful,
I'm having the time of my life.
[The elevator doors open and Lily steps out onto another office environment. She continues to hear the thoughts of the people around her.]
Lily: Don't you want something else,
Something new, than what we've got here,
And don't you feel it's all the same,
Some sick game and it's not insincere,
I wish I could change the ways of the world,
Make it a nice place
Until that day, I guess we stay,
Doing what we do
Screwing who we screw
[Coworker #3 looks like she hasn't gotten much sleep. There are dark shadows under her eyes. The cup of coffee in her hand is obviously the reason why she's having troubles getting to sleep.]
Coworker #3: Why can't I sleep at night,
Don't say it's gonna be alright,
[Coworker #4 looks on envyingly at another co-workers lunch - spaghetti bolognaise. Clearly this co-worker is on a diet.]
I wanna be able to eat spaghetti bolognaise,
and not feel bad about it for days and days and days.
[Client #3 is a young teen who is sitting in a waiting room looking at a fashion magazine. The cover displays featured articles about ways to loose weight. It is clear that she is looking at an article featuring a picture of Kate Moss wearing an advertised pair of jeans for sale.]
In the magazines they talk about weight loss,
If I buy those jeans I can look like Kate Moss,
[Client #4 is being escorted by cops. He is handcuffed.]
Oh no it's not the life I chose,
But I guess that's the way that things go,
[Lily reenters the elevator after walking around the office. The guy is still standing there.]
Oh yes, I'm fine,
Everything's just wonderful,
I'm having the time of my life.
[Lily begins to realize that what she is hearing is not the guy's thoughts, but her own.]
Oh yes, I'm fine,

I'm having the time of my life.
[Lily looks over at the guy in surprise as the elevator doors open. The guy glances over at her with a smirk, as if he knows why she's looking at him.]
Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba
[Lily steps out onto the first floor she was on. As she passes by co-workers again, hearing earlier statements, Lily begins to realize it's the thoughts of the people around her.]
Coworker #1: Oh Jesus Christ almighty,
