You are lulz. also heath ledger shouldnt have won that oscar phillip seymour hoffman should have Yikes. I'm just saying, it's a good performance by Ledger, but it wasn't the essence of the Joker. Christopher Nolan's redesigning villains. I give him mad props for that.

LIke passing over a troubled, aging star (Rourke) for a guy who played a politically relevant role even though he's a douche (Penn).

Christopher Nolan's redesigning villains. I give him mad props for that. And obviously, he drew on minis like The Killing Joke for inspiration, but that Joker's characters, while slightly nihilistic in nature, isn't driven by a need to inject chaos into society. Even HE doesn't know what drives him sometimes. His insanity is what allows the marvel writers to tinker with his motivations on occasion. But Nolan removed that element from the movie, and made the Joker more of an agent of chaos. Essentially he created a very compelling villain who dresses up like the Joker.
