"How many more?" Oscar asked s he stared at the surrounding crowd.


"Not too many," Cecil replied, "Just a dozen or so."

Cecil launched a spell into the crowd, killing a few more.

"Alright, let's get the rest and follow Kira."

Kain smirked. "You guys go ahead and get outta here. I'll meet you in the woods when I'm done." Kain charged at the remaining vampires in the fog and in the cover hidden from view of the others, he let himself transform.


Now in his larger form, he let out a primal roar again and swiped his talons at the nearest vampires, cleaving them in half in one swipe. Kain turned his large head towards the others and snorted, letting a puff of steam rise from his nose, letting them know it was ok to get going. He then turned his attention back on the vampires. They were backing off from the large beast in front of them.

"Alrighty then, we'll leave. See you later."

Cecil ran off after Kira, Syra, and Milo, towards the woods.

Oscar silently followed, checking back frequently. "He'll be alright," he mumbled to himself.

Kain took on the last of the vampires, cutting them all down without much of a problem. When the last of them fell, Kain took to the air with a powerful downward sweep of his wings and flew off into the woods.

Kir's barrier left a glowing streak in the night sky as he approached the city.
He slowed and landed in the middle of town.

Lily looked around at their surrounds. They needed to get somewhere where they could be alone. She didn't like being out in the open where they coul easily be attacked. She still looked like a vampire so most people avoided them. "Come on, I know a place we can lay low for a while," she said, her voice sounding a little more normal.

"..." Kir let Lily lead the way.

Lily led him towards a house that looked like it had been abandoned for a long time. She braced her hand against the door and felt a small jolt and then opened it, walking inside. It looked a lot bigger on the inside then on the outside and the rooms were bare. She closed the door once Kir was in and then sat down with ehr back against it. "Kir, stand down," she said, closing her eyes and letting her head lull to one side.

"..." Kir didn't respond to Lily's command. He let the barrier around him disappear so she could move. He walked over and leaned against a wall, his glassed over eyes looked lazily at the floor a few feet in front of him.

Lily opened her eyes when she didn't feel a change in him. Kir, stand down, she thought through the blood crystallis, thinking that maybe that was the problem.

"..." Kir still didn't move. This time he didn't even acknowledge that Lily made an order.

"Kir," Lily said, standing up, suddenly very worried. She stumbled and braced ehr hand against the wall to steady herself. "Kir, please stand down," she said again and walked unsteadily towards him.

"..." Kir felt distress thoughts coming from his owner so he walked over and helped her stay on her feet. In his eyes was weak confusion.

"Kir, please, stop being a weapom, go back to being you, please," Lily begged when he came over to stay her. She was starting to get scared that he wasn't going to come back.
