Liz sighed,"i was always too busy to listen to music.i never really had much time to my self."her tail began wagging again."but when i was little,my brother had a guitar,he played it every night."she smiled to herself.

"do you miss him?" Mark asked thinking back to his own family as he turned down another street that lead tward the center of town

Liz's hand tightend aroud the peice of his shirt."terribly.."she almost wispered.

"what happened?" Mark asked looking over his shoulder "but if you don' want to tell men thats fine" he added as he looked forward again as a familir site greeted him "here we are." he added as he pointed to the home that was set away from the others with a waist high stone fence around it.

Liz didnt answer,but smiled as she saw the house."thats all yours?"she asked as she placed her hand on the fence.

"yup and as long as you stay it your's to" Mark said with a smile as he opened the gate "allow me" he said as he held it open for her

Liz's smile grew,she never really lived in a acual house before,or owned anything but herself and her collar."thank you."she said as she walked through the gate.

Mark smiled as he closed the gate behind her "your welcome" he said as he walked after her

"how long have you lived here?"she asked as she wondered around,looking at everything.'its so big.and,"she turned to him,"welcoming."she smiled.

"sence I became a colonel" he said as he walked over to a dresser and opened it showing his combat gear his shot-gun layed on the bottom and the armor sat motionless and mute it's paint and sum parts where chipped away.

Liz fingured the armor."you've seen alot of death in this...huh."she asked.

"To much 10...10 long years of fighting" Mark said with a sigh as he reached up to where his neck would be should he wear it and pulled out it's dog-tags but insteed of the normal two he had atleast a dozen tags hanging from the chain. "heres the friends I've lost" he said as he flipped through them before stopping at the last one "heres my brother" he added as he looked at it.

"..."Liz was silent,she didnt know what to say.she then smiled,"then i guess...i guess we have one thing in common."she thought back about her brother." its a brand new day,no worries...thats what he would allways say....my brother....so dont worry about it.its a brand new day.i know it sounds cheezy..."

"yeah thats true" Mark said as he tucked the tags back into his chest plate "Well I guess you want see your room right?" he asked as he looked tward the stairs before shutting the dresser and locking the doors.

"that would be nice."her tail wagged happily."i dont take up too much space.and i dont need much."she added.
