“I don’t think I want to go back to sleep just yet,” Kanti said softly. “Will you stay up with me for a little while? You can go back to sleep if you want though.”

Kanti smiled and gently licked Sanoskue’s cheek. “I really like you too Sanoskue,” she whispered shyly, laying her head on his side.

Kanti closed her eyes and sighed happily, content to simply be lying close to Sanoskue. “I feel so much safer with you…” she said quietly after a few minutes of comfortable silence.

Kanti licked Sanoskue’s nose and pressed against his side, her tail wagging happily. “That’s…that’s so sweet Sanoskue, I don’t know what to say,” she said.
