Amber paused a small distance away and turned back around when he called. "You know Mike, I don't think it's going to work out," she told him bluntly, her eyes holding a soft and hurt look. Smiling feebly she said one last thing before disappearing into the crowd. "Bye."
Jay nodded his head as his mouth was too full of the delicious food to answer verbally. As a man greeted them, Jay swallowed quickly. "You must be Mr. Wilson right? It's nice to meet you," Jay smiled friendly. "This is really good by the way."

Mike stood stunned, hardly believing what Amber had just said. He stood dumbfounded as he was watching Amber walk away, just like that. He blinked and shook himself. Amber was just mad. She'll calm down. Yeah. He'll talk to her in the library.
Mr. Wilson smiled, but just barely. "Thank you. Well enjoy your, er, date." Mr. Wilson returned to the kitchen as Lynn set down her fork. "My dad didn't think we were dating. I told him you were just my practise partner before," she told Jay.

Amber felt her mind heavy and stuffy. She dropped down onto the floor of the library in a small 'thump'. She bit her lower lip feeling her nose tingle and her chest heaving. Tears leaked from her 20/20 eyes. She cried silently. Amber heard the bell indicating for first period ring, but she didn't move.
"Oh?" Jay said finishing off his plate. "I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. He seems nice though."

Ian took a peep of Amber at the corner of the bookshelf. He wasn't sure if he should talk to her, but he had to. He just had to. He quietly came out from his bookshelf. "Um. Excuse me? Are you okay?" Ian asked cautiously, holding out a napkin and waiting for permission to sit.
"Sure," Lynn quietly replied, now poking at her food. Her dad was nice, but he was strict. He knew her dad was trying to set her up with some of his buddies' sons.

Her clouded thoughts were suddenly cleared as she heard a voice, a voice similar to someone she knew, his voice a few years back. "Oh! Um... Sort of," she answered wiping away her tears quickly, then noticed the napkin at received it. "Thank you," she mumbled.
Jay watched Lynn carefully as he took a sip of his water. He studied her features. It was sort of funny how when she wasn't talking like a total b***h, she looked like a total babe. He watched as her expression changed slightly, displaying a sort of dislike or disturbance. "What's wrong?" He asked.

Ian sat down. "I saw what happened. It seemed pretty bad. Mike was cheating on you?" he asked cautiously.
"Nothing. Just full," Lynn replied, taking off her glasses and messaged her temples, "Brainiac competition is coming up soon. I guess I'm a bit stressed."

Amber dried her eyes calming down a bit. "Yeah, something like that," she answered, then realized something. She looked over at the boy who sat beside her. "Um, sorry, but who are you?"
"Ohhh," Jay nodded though secretly he didn't believe her one bit at all. Even though their time together was limited and they haven't been together for a long time, Jay learnt a lot about Lynn. Most of all, he understood her emotions.

"Oh, sorry. I'm Ian. I come here a lot and I see you often here," Ian explained, "I like the library too." He gave her a nice and refreshing smile, one that he hoped would brighten her mood. Meanwhile, Mike was pacing outside the library. He wondered if it was too early to make up with her, but by now, she should be calmed down. He opened the library doors and crept inside quietly to Amber's corners. He heard voices. Mike hid behind the bookshelf and carefully peeked. There was another guy. Wow, that was quick. Mike retreated to hiding behind the bookshelf. He decided to listen some more.
"Let's go," Lynn said, standing up and going to her car.

"Oh, I see," Amber nodded with her own small smile. "It's nice to meet you Ian." It was sort of nice, Amber had to admit. Sure she was definitely quite close with some of the other Glee members, but Ian just reminded her of someone who was extremely close to her. Though, they didn't look anything alike, perhaps the reason to it was that she needed him the most right now, but he was a few states to the right on the map, therefore seeing him wasn't something that came easy.
Jay nodded his head in agreement and the pair of them headed back to Lynn's red cooper. "Did you choose your own car out?" Jay questioned curiously.

Mike left the library in a rush. He was thinking about Amber and that guy. He was worried she'd fall for him instead. That guy looked like a book worm like her, and he could just tell he was Korean too. "Nice to meet you too. I've always longed to talk to you," Ian said truthfully, then smiling wide, "I'm so glad that I did." He picked up a novel. "Oh, I like this one."
"Yes. Why?" Lynn replied, getting into her cooper.

★ ғɑsт ғσʀωɑʀɗ ★Amber plopped down onto the ground of the library. The week had been pretty exhausting. It would be the first time that she had ever broken up with anyone, well it was also the first time she ever dated someone, and it was also the first time she was cheated one. But, there was this heavy guilt feeling that Mike perhaps was being truthful and yet she refused to believe it. Ian was good company, he was like a substitute for her best friend. It was nice.
Jay drove along down to Lynn's Grandma's place after football. Well, he never knew what meaning the place had till recently when he had asked Lynn. Today was some practise. He rang the doorbell, as usual, and Lynn opened it. "Hey," he greeted in that boyish voice.

Ian sat down with Amber. "Hi," he said, pulling out a book from his backpack, "Take a look at this. I think it's a really good read."
"Hi," Lynn answered, letting him in. Today, Mr. Foreman had touched her. She didn't want to let Jay know. She could deal with it. Lynn led Jay into where the piano was sitting.

"Hello," Amber returned the greeting and received the book. "What's it about?" She questioned curiously as she looked at the cover and back cover of it.
"So, how was Brainiac?" Jay asked. Though, he wasn't necessarily interested in something like 'brainiac', but he was polite in asking her. Plus, he knew that teacher was leading it so he had to keep an eye on it.

"It's about a girl who likes this boy, but in the end another girl makes the girl fall in love with her. It's a lot to do with the issue of what love means in terms of gender. It's interesting," Ian answered, leaning in slightly close as he handed her the book.
"You mean the practise? Oh, well it was good. I didn't mess up. Some of my teammates did," Lynn replied, "I'll be glad when we pass the team evaluation then we do individual."

"Hmm... That is sort of interesting," Amber nodded tucking the book away. "I'll return it to you on Monday."
JAy couldn't help, but smile at Lynn's response. It was such a Lynn thing to say. "Ohhh," he nodded his head. "You'll probably own the competition. Actually what's the point of making the competition? They should just award you already, hahahha."
