Anubis nodded. "Yeah. Really." Why she was acting so surprised about it was a mystery to him, maybe something to do with her past.

Aud nodded, still a little surprised. "Oh...That's good."

Anubis blinked. "Why are you acting so surprised?" He really didn't know, and he was pretty curious about it.

Aud stared at him for a second. "I never have or plan to love anyone." she said with a soft smirk. "I didn't think that I could..." she drifted off, remembering things from her childhood.

Anubis shrugged like it wasn't a weird reason, in his opinion, it wasn't. "I see. Why's that?" He asked, fully expecting her do dodge the question.

Aud opened her mouth, about to say something but stopped. "Nevermind, I won't be a total git today..." She muttered. Aud sighed, "When me and my siblings ran from our house in Britain...we had to survive. And we did some...bad things." She said, kind of uncomfortable about sharing her past. "And I saw my parents...so...I don't know, unloving I didn't think it was real I guess." Aud furrowed her eyebrows. "So I don't think I'm capable of that emotion anymore."

Anubis could tell she was telling the truth, but he didn't fully understand the "Bad things" part, he may have been able to act like one, but he still didn't get the modern human quite yet. "That's a shame... I hear it's a really nice feeling actually." That kind of reminded him of how his brother used to taunt him because he kind of liked Cleopatra... He mummified Horus for a week. "If it means anything, I haven't felt it either."

Aud smiled. "At least I'm not the only one, huh?"

Anubis nodded slightly. "I guess so." He cracked his neck slightly, making a few of the other of him around the school return to his main being, now he had happy and angry too.

Aud winced slightly as he cracked his neck again, the sound triggering memories. "Bloody hell, man." she muttered. "What's that all about?"

Anubis gave her an odd look. "What?" He asked, confused as to why she was acting like that... All he did was crack his neck.

Aud shook her head, just wanting to forget it. "Nevermind." She ignored the odd look Anubis was giving her and looked out the diner window instead.

Anubis shrugged, erasing the look on his face. "Okay." He'd asked enough questions, he wasn't going to push his luck any more than he already had.

Aud nodded, glad he had dropped it. Images flashed through her head of a memory she didn't want to remember. "Hey, Horus said he had different forms. Do you?" she asked, changing the subject.

Anubis nodded. "Yeah. I have a few human forms, a jackal-headed form, a jackal form and divine form." Horus had told her more than he expected.
