One Piece as seen in the Dub is NOT One Piece as seen in the Subtitled. They butchered One Piece Dub to make it more Kid Friendly. Apparently it's more adult in the subs and Manga I think, or so I've been told o.o;

I'm speaking of Animation style among other things... There was no hope for One Piece even if they didn't chop it or give it crappy voices.

Momiji Akiko I'm speaking of Animation style among other things... There was no hope for One Piece even if they didn't chop it or give it crappy voices. Yet they've got enough followers that they've produced several episodes over in Japan...

It don't have to be good to have a following...

anime bratchild i prefer dubbed because im not a fast reader so while readin the context of the sentence i might miss some the action Man you and Momi are BOTH like that. Heck I read fast enough that I once thought I used to watch a series subbed, but when I got it dubbed I realized my mistake when the voices were different sweatdrop Hmmm...the problem with dubbed though, is that the voices are often times inferior, and there is sometimes a problem with them editing the series down for content. Let's not forget about Escaflowne. They turned 3 subbed episodes, and turned it into 1 dubbed episode, while TOTALLY cutting out the the 2nd episode! gonk

I just hope the more that I read the faster I'll get. Still, even with slow reading skills my IQ is at 150 or at least it was when I was 20 lol

Well I DID read a lot when I was a kid. Hell my parents were reading to me before I was even born, and then brought me to the library a lot. Which is why I read pretty fast ^_^

Tenshi Akumu666 sub. dubbed sounds akward most of the time What sounds awkward about it? It isn't like you can understand the words coming out of the Japanese voice actor's mouths anyhow, unless you know Japanese that is...

Well some of the voices on dubs DO sound funny/funny. I mean even if you don't know 100% what they're saying, you can still have a preference for the sound of the voice and such...
I've also noticed that many American voice people tends to have their acting feel a little flat and forced. Many that's what he's talking about?

How do you know its flat when you can't understand the Japanese by which to compare it to? Still don't see how you can prefer the sound of their voices when you cannot understand what they are saying...
