Kaimei snorted. "Remember what I was wearing when we met, Krystal? That's what people usually wear... with differences depending on who wears it... this is more along the lines of what goes beneath that, though what we're looking for is there," he said, tilting his head toward closed doors with a sign that read 'Changing Rooms'. "Appearances are sometimes deceiving, as most of those in the gang knew well," he said softly.

~~ "I'll be honest with you. That is a fact which is comforting." Krystal said, raising her eyebrows. She looked over at the changing room doors. "Is your workshop in there, or does something in there lead to it?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips.
"I doubt it's the first option." Fox said. ~~

Kaimei tilted his head. "Elevator in the floor," he said simply. The workshop was actually part of a large underground cavern, though he suspected there was some sort of damage down there from the quake.

Kaimei shrugged slightly. He strode toward the changing rooms/elevators. "After you, especially considering if those lizards show up... they'll have a surprise they won't expect coming," he said softly, glancing at a few of the mannequins, which were also very special defensive turrets designed to incapacitate, though if whoever appeared tried to destroy them, they were programmed to shift to attack mode, which usually scared off interlopers. He paused next to the rooms, his hand brushing over a desk panel which automatically picked up his DNA and activated with a low hissing hum, causing the floors to rotate ninety degrees as the elevators were activated.

"That was my reaction, and I'm sure you'll be getting it again." replied Krystal, rolling her bright-aqua eyes.

Kaimei rolled his eyes. "I'm not your average human... homo sapien... whatever you want to call me, doesn't really matter to me," he said with a slight shrug. He knew most people who were called 'geniuses' were also full of themselves and usually distant from people, and while he was at times the latter, he wasn't full of himself. He knew all too well one mistake could screw up more than just the experiment if it was with certain forces.

Kaimei rolled his eyes. "My gut says we only have so long until more of those lizards show up, and the defense turrets will only take so much before shutting down, though if I'm right, they'll end up destroyed anyway," he said dryly. "If you want to see the workshop, step in... if not, it doesn't matter to me," he said dryly. He could see it was only about six feet from where Krystal and her group were to the elevators.

Kaimei knew the elevators worked automatically and waited until they'd reached the bottom. He exhaled slowly before he leaped into one of the shafts left by the elevators, going down headfirst as the facial armor formed over his semi-human face. He flipped as he caught hold of one of the horizontal steel supports and swung under it into the left handed shaft, swinging into the workshop as the elevators began to rise back up to surface level. He landed a few feet from both Fox and Krystal. He cocked his head slightly at the brushed steel walls and concrete floors that faded into the natural stone walls and dusty floor of the cavern beyond. Several tables and desks were placed around the walls, one holding four vertical pipes of clear Plexiglass; it was double layered with a layer of bulletproof glass between to keep unwanted people out of them and away from what looked to be nothing more than four bracelets very similar to what Kaimei wore as he focused and dismissed the armor for the ragged clothes he normally wore, at least since Oikonny's appearance and the collapse of what had been his personal hiding area due to Wolf's 'insistence' in taking Krystal with him.

Star Fox got out of the elevators and glanced around.
"Huh. Again, I'm impressed." Krystal commented, noting the advanced technical items and features.
"Yeah." agreed Falco, "Good thing Wolf didn't find this place."
Fox looked at the bracelets. "Are those the suits?" He asked, eyes narrowed slightly. Not in dislike, but in concentration and thought. ~~

"Hai, they seem to have some form of sentience, though not quite similar to ours," he said quietly. He shited subtly as Falco spoke. "I doubt he would have found it unless he knew precisely where to look, especially since there's a holoprojector that projects a seamless image of the cavern wall over there, effectively hiding this part of the cave unless you pass through the hologram or take the elevator," he said blandly.
