Of Mavericks and Hunters. -OPEN AND ACCEPTING-

[Zahzi]

"I am." Hal replied, looking over at her.
"Now, let's just go home..."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"No," Edge frowned worriedly at Hal, remaining where she stood.

"You're calling me Kelly, after your first daughter... I'm not Kelly."  

[Zahzi]

Hal just gave a sigh.
"I prefer calling you Kelly instead of Edge. I prefer it because it sounds less like I'm calling you a weapon."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"But you named me as Edge." She pointed out, her worry growing. Edge knew all to well why she created, and while she could never complain, all she could do was worry. Her father missed his original family, the wife and child named Kelly. And while grief was hard, she was many people and reploids move past it and let what has passed go.
But some people, like Hal, wouldn't let go. And it always killed them in the end.

"I'm a Maverick Hunter. I am a weapon, for New Fairway."  

[Zahzi]

"That does not mean I will stop calling you Kelly." Hal chuckled.
"Now, let's get home before he comes back..."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Just don't mix me up with your previous daughter.. Please." She pleaded softly, for once showing one of her raw emotions.

"I've seen too many people lose themselves with grief."  

[Zahzi]

"I'm more likely to lose myself in my work." Hal laughed, already beginning to walk toward home.

Edge watched her father go off ahead of her, the worried look on her face remaining. She had half a mind to snap at him for blowing off her warning, but the night was late and there was no point in doing it.

With a heavy sigh, she walked of the mouth of the alley and caught up to her father, and proceeded to walk home with him.  

[Zahzi]

After she caught up, Hal's hand was placed on top of her head once more.
"Do not worry about me. I know better than to lose myself in my grief. It would help no one if I did so. This is just how I am, Kelly."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"I'm only worried the grief is going to become too much." Edge sighed as she leaned up against her father, lightly as not to push him over since she did out weigh him by several hundred pounds.

"I know for a fact it's not gone. Not when I look like this and you insisting calling me by her name."  

[Zahzi]

"If anything, it keeps me at peace." Hal told her, looking down at her.
"To see what I have been doing with my life has been worth it."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"As long as you remain fine, then I suppose I am okay." Kelly said with a sigh, getting off of Hal as they neared their home.

"I don't suppose you'd allow me to survey the neighborhood tonight, would you..?" She asked, looking tiredly at Hal.  

[Zahzi]

"And what are you going to do if you find something amiss..?" Hal sighed.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"I can fight without my weapons." Edge answered, looking out down the street.

"That damn Ginger was closer than I would have cared to have him..."  

[Zahzi]

"Kelly..." Hal groaned.
"You know you're not supposed to be doing ANY fighting until tomorrow..." he told her before pointing at the house.
"Come on, in we go."
