Those empty emerald eyes quickly filled up with vibrant life. "You have my word." Navarre promised with a smile and strode away to the other side of the ferry to capture a glimpse of the coming town.

The swordsman waited for Roy to leave before looking at Myka. "Do you think he's recovering his memories?" he inquired.

"One can only hope not," she replied.

"So your daughter manipulated Erik's heart..." Roy mused and looked at Myka with a sly grin. "How does that make you feel?"

Myka sat on the bench, sighing. "Like she's going to die, either by my hands or her heart's. Like Damian would never forgive me for letting this happen. Like I did something wrong..."

Roy tipped his head to the side and thought of what Damian would do.
"Whaaat?! You're letting sweet, little Arwen date a... a Japanese guy?! Have you seen the things in Japan??? Go ahead, Google anything about them and I guarantee you you'll be traumatized.... On second thought, stay away from Google!"
He shook the thought from his mind then sat down beside her. "Maybe it's just one of those phases kids have with pop stars and all." he tried to comfort.

"I can only hope you're right," she muttered, covering her face. "Ben was already going to meet me at their house, so it looks like the confrontation will occur sooner than though."

"Well, we've still got to have dinner at Bennacio's, right?" Roy said. "Maybe you can eat there while the confrontation happens?"

"No, it should be in private."  

[Its Smiley]

"That's what I'm saying, they have their confrontation at your house while we go to Bennacio's so you won't have to witness it." he explained just as the ferry came to a halt.

The young mother shook her head, twisting her wedding band around on her finger. "No, I must be near. I need to be able to hold my daughter while she cries, rather than eat with friends and employers while my only girl falls to pieces."

Roy nodded as his knights climbed out of the ferry. "It's not my place to witness that." He looked to the city as the wind toyed with his snow white hair. "Besides, I'm pretty sure Bennacio's eager to introduce me to his wife." he smiled softly then climbed out himself. He turned and held a hand out to Myka. "Well, good luck... To the both of us."

After a moment of thought, she grabbed his hand, pushing it to his chest. "I'll come with you. I have to trust her."

He gave her a concerned look. "Are you sure? After all, you know all the conditions Erik left girls in." he said softly and helped her out of the ferry. "You were one of them."

Myka grasped both his hands, smiling gently. "And then look what happened. I got married to the most wonderful man I'd ever met. Who knows? Maybe she'll find the one after this." Linking arms with the royal, she strode off, smiling and trying to joke with him.

"You just described Erik as Cupid." laughed Roy as he followed his knights to Bennacio's home.
