[FIN] Kanto Competition

Stepping out of the elevator with Luke, Rosie lifted her head when she heard a familiar voice by her room.
Rosie looked up, seeing Seraphine walking over she just opened her arms, unable to form words right away and hugged her friend as she stepped over.

Sera had been making her way over anyway, but when Rosie approached her quite suddenly and hugged her without saying anything, her concern only grew exponentially as she hugged her friend back. She glanced from Luke to Rosie and back again, then back to Rosie as she finally stepped back from the hug and held onto the blonde's arms instead. "What's wrong?"

Luke had been content to wander aimlessly; Vermillion was a new, unfamiliar place, and he was usually quite interested in such locations. Persisting concern for the girl walking with him, however, made it immensely less interesting and less relaxing than it would have otherwise been. Each failed attempt at contact with Faleen reinforced the worry that she was ignoring her sister, even as the time of night began to excuse the lack of a response.

It was under feelings of anxiety, frustration, and helplessness that Luke returned to the hotel, though the sight of Seraphine afforded some relief. He moved to stand next to Rosie, unwilling to answer Sera on her behalf but certain she would find the words to explain in time. "You'll be fine with Sera, right?" He didn't really want to leave her side, but if it was let Sera fill the space he left, then that would be tolerable.

Rosie swallowed a couple of times, trying to unclench her throat so she would tell Sera, not wanting to say the words out right.
She would find them though. Looking up at her best friend for a seconds before she glanced down again.

Luke spoke, causing her to glance over at him, she nodded and tried to offer him a smile, some form of gratitude since her voice didn't seem to be working.
He probably wanted to turn in, she didn't blame him, though she would have much rather told him to stay, stay, Stay with her and Sera, she didn't want her friends anywhere else but right here.

Luke was upset and Rosie was clearly upset and about to cry, and the complete and utter lack of explanation, or even any sort of acknowledgement for her concern, only served to worry her further. "What happened? What's wrong?" She repeated, the concern now evident in her tone and features as she looked between her two best friends, mostly Rosie.

The redhead, however, drew her attention with his question to Rosie. "Wait, what? You're leaving? You can't just leave," the girl replied, brows raised. How could he just leave when Rosie was so obviously upset? ...what the hell even happened?

Seraphine's accusatory tone startled him, and for a moment his only response was to blink. He'd stopped Rosie just as she said she was going to bed and then walked with her for however long - he hadn't really paid attention to the time - so he assumed that she was tired and would probably sleep some time in the nearer future, even if not completely voluntarily. He looked to Rosie, "Do you want me to stay instead?"

Rosie was startled as well when Seraphine spoke up, she blushed a little, but that was so very much like Sera, and Rosie loved her for it.
Rosie swallowed again, and gave a small nod. "yes."

That was all he needed to hear. He folded his hand again into hers. "Okay. I'll stay as long as you want."

Okay, good. Much better. With a nod, Sera slipped her arm through Rosie's - opposite Luke of course - and moved with them to the door. She pulled her key out on the way there and slipped it into the slot before pushing the door open and stepping inside, leaving the door open so they could follow. "It's cool that you're staying," she said to Luke as she put her key away again, "but that still doesn't explain what the hell's wrong or what happened or anything. You guys are kinda leaving me in the dark here," the brunette didn't hesitate to point out. Rosie looked like she was about to cry, they both looked upset or at least concerned... Something bad had obviously happened, yet neither of them were bothering to explain it to her. It almost wasn't even fair.

And then it all happened at once, the moment she felt his hand in hers and he said that he would stand as long as she wanted.
He was staying, Sera was there wanting to know what happened and holding her arms.
Rosie let out a shuttering breath as she just couldn't seem to contain the overwhelming devastation, the news about her sister.
She didn't want to talk about it in the hall, heck she didn't know if she could talk about it right this second.

It wasn't until she was back in the room with her friends, sitting down, having gotten something to drink.

Pop was sitting at the end of Rosie's bed, with her legs tucked up and her paws placed between them, gripping the edge of the mattress as she watched her trainer. Long ears draped over a good portion of the bed.
Vahy'n was sitting by Rosie's feet, watching the girl with concern, while Kiss was draped over the back of the couch behind Rosie.

"Faleen's in Team Rocket..." Rosie managed to say, not looking away from the glass of water in her hand.

Sera had resigned herself to not knowing what was wrong until Rosie could bring herself to talk about it, so she let out her pokemon and had gone into their bathroom to change into pajamas. Afterwards the brunette seated herself on Rosie's other side and draped an arm over the girl's shoulders in her own support, while Luke held Rosie's hand. The words that finally came out of the blonde's mouth, however, were not at all what she had been expecting. Not at all. Well, she really wasn't sure what she had been expecting, exactly, but it wasn't that. "How do you know?" Sera asked quickly, her brows raising a bit as she looked from Rosie to Luke and back again. "Are you sure?" When did this happen? And what was with siblings being Rockets?

Rosie looked over at Luke, before she continued, leaning her head against Sera.
"Asch knew her... He said not to trust her." She closed her eyes, "I don't know what that means, I don't know why she would be in Team Rocket, but I can't get a hold of her to talk to her tonight..."

Wait, Asch? When did Asch tell them about this? He was dead, so it would've had to have been before he died... But if Rosie was just finding out now, that meant Luke would've had to know, and told her... now? Because Faleen was here at the competition?

Sera frowned down at the floor for a few moments before she raised her gaze again. "Well, it is late.. She might be sleeping," though anyone that went to bed so early was all kinds of lame. "Are you gonna talk to her tomorrow instead?"

Rosie nodded "I'm going to try and find a way to... Faleen would not do this, she would be a part of that group willingly. So if she's in trouble I need to find a way to help her."
She rubbed her face "She's is a good person, a good sister."

All Sera could do was nod in agreement to Rosie's words. She didn't know Faleen personally at all, and had never met her before, ever. She didn't know what type of person Faleen was, or if she would or wouldn't join Team Rocket of her own accord, or if she was forced to join it. Maybe she was nice to Rosie like Asch (sort of) was to Luke, which was the only other sibling pair she could use as a reference where one was in Team Rocket and the other wasn't. The brunette had no idea if this would be the case as well, but she kind of hoped so, because the alternative... wasn't really very good. "I'm sure," was all Sera could think to say, at length. She really had no idea what to say - none whatsoever - and it seriously bothered her. Rosie was so good at comforting others, but what about when she needed emotional support? Sera was really at a loss. "It'll be okay, though. You can talk to her tomorrow. We can even go with you if you want," the girl added, speaking for Luke as well - though completely unaware that he'd already said something to that same effect earlier in the evening.
