[FIN] Calling the Shot

"Thinking? About what?" she inquired, still looking at him. His blush earned a giggle, and she reached up to poke his cheek lazily.

"It's noth- heeey," he complained a little playfully when she poked his cheek.

"Do you really want to start that again?" He added with a grin.  

[Tori Honoo]

"Oooh, start what again?" she laughed, leaning over and flopping across him again. They had started lots of stuff... Heheee.

Yuri rolled his eyes a little as she flopped in his lap and smirked.

"You know... this," he said as he started poking her yet again. Giving a few jabs at whatever place he could find on her swaddled person.

"Ooooh--eeeeeheheheeheee!"

Her tone of understanding was cut short by a squeal of giggles, and she kicked her feet and wiggled, being silly as he poked her randomly. Finally, though, she rolled off of his lap and pulled the blanket over he head again, drawing it close around her face to stifle her little drunken laughs.

"You're fun, I like you," she said suddenly, quieting a little to a more serious tone. "Can we be friends? Real friends?"

A silly grin was plastered on Yuri's face when Dove squealed and wiggled around on his lap. His dark eyes watched as she rolled off and then bundled herself up again.

"I like you too," he admitted. "Yeah, we can be friends."

"Okay, good. Thanks!" She needed good friends. There seemed to be a lack of people she trusted fully.

That decided, she sat quietly for a moment, then yawned, her nose scrunching a little, though she didn't try to cover it as she usually did.

"Gettin tired, huh?" Yuri asked as Dove yawned. "Should get some sleep. Probably gonna have a hell of a hangover tomorrow." If it was anything like it was last time... Yeah it'd probably be worse.

She nodded a little, glad for his suggestion, then tried to get up to take herself to bed. However, her foot caught in the blanket wrapped so randomly around her, and she tripped, deciding then--after a few giggles of course-- that she would just stay on the ground. It was comfy anyways. As Yuri was there. "You sleep too..."

Yuri started to get up as well.. this is until Dove tripped again. Instinctively he reached out to catch her, and rather clumsily considering she wasn't the only drunk one there. This causing them to both be on the floor again with her in his arms.

... Well that didn't really work. Oh well.

"Yeah, guess I should."

Her giggles died away as she found herself close to him once more, and with a nod approving of his agreement to sleep, she curled up in his hold, content to settle in there for the night if he would allow it. They had her blanket, and the fire, after all, and as for herself, she quite enjoyed the feeling of security she found in a warm and gentle hold.

Yuri was certainly not adverse to sleeping on the floor. He was kinda use to sleeping in uncomfortable places and the floor of her apartment wasn't that bad anyway.

He blinked once when she curled up against him, but it wasn't so bad. Thus he got himself comfortable, not minding that she was right there. And if it would help her sleep... well that was okay too.

Settled down and comfortable, the girl let her eyes fall shut and with even breathing and the warmth and security surrounding her, Dove slipped into an easy and deep sleep, pulled under by both late hour and drink--though she would find it was mostly the alcohol in the morning.

The next morning, the storm had cleared for the time being, though broken clouds patterned the rays of sunlight scattered across her floor... and the two wrapped in the blankets before the burned out fire. Though time had started to slip toward the afternoon, Dove continued to lie in her place, sound asleep and facing the man at her side. Her hair lay sprawled behind her, her hands delicately laid between them, and though her actions the might before had been completely reckless, she was left soft and and small-- completely vulnerable. Nothing like the girl practicing her aim in the ranges with harsh seriousness. The flirtatious, carefree mask she had worn was completely gone.

Soon after Dove fell asleep, Yuri did as well. And the next morning found them both sleeping in later than usual.

As the sun peeked through the clouds and shone through a window onto his face, the man's brow furrowed before he opened his eyes. Groggy and disoriented, Yuri sat up, rubbing at his eyes.

When he took a moment to look around he realized he wasn't in his little apartment. And looking down at the girl beside him made him aware of where he was and who he was with. ... Uh.

For several moments he sat there in confusion, his head throbbing with the familiarity of a hangover. It took him a few minutes before some if the memories from last night started to trickle through his brain. Oh right... There had been drinks and rain and drunken antics.

Carefully he rose from the floor, trying not to wake her. He then sought out his clothes which he found in the guest room. They were still damp but wearable.

Tou he intended to rise without waking her, his shifting drew a soft groan from her, but she only curled the blanket to her a little more, not pushing herself up just yet.

Consciousness came slowly, and as she attempted to open her eyes, she sighed, then stretched before realizing the moving was a terrible idea--her head was already throbbing, and she had only been awake a few minutes. Another groan escaped as she did force herself to a sitting position, her hand moving to her forehead as she attempted to figure out where she was and what had happened.

It had rained the night before--a storm-- and she had been out with Yuri...they has gone to his tavern for drinks, and--

Her eyes widened in a slight panicked look as her ther hand moved over her bare shoulder to pull up the collar of the shirt she wore. What had happened after drinks...? Everything was a blur, and she fought to think it through.

The drink had been good... And they had played in the rain, she thought, but what all that entailed was still hazy. She had been sick, she thought...ew. Obviously they had come back to her place and had somehow ended up on the floor. In different clothing...

Once her shirt was fixed, she pulled the blanket up around her, her heart racing and only making her head pound. Kissing. There had been kissing. He had held her for a while...at least, she thought so... She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, hoping he remembered it, or at least was remembering it more quickly than she was...though a slight panic in her mind spoke of possibilities she might not want to remember at all.
