Erika had taken the time to explore the campus of what she could and get to know the area. She didn't have anyone at the moment to explore with, but it was an adventure of it's own. In her own determination, she wasn't about to be late for class.
Once at the classroom door, she opened it, going in and stopped not seeing anyone. Perhaps she was early, but it was better than being tardy. Erika took a seat at the front and waited for the rest of the class.

One of the many benefits of having a brother, who happened to be in the same class that she was assisting in, was that he could walk her to class. While Mikhail was happy to escort her when he was free, lately he had been very busy and thus, Lelyna had had to rely on others to help her to and from the Academy. Luckily for her, Kayl was more than happy to oblige her.
With her arm looped through his, they walked slowly through the halls of the Academy toward the Diviner Classroom. Lelyna had of course spoken to Kayl about her meeting with Rhysian and her over all impression of their distant relative. Lelyna suspected that for whatever reason the Royal Court Mage had an avid interest in them both. While there was no way for him to know for sure that they were siblings, Lelyna suspected that because they looked so much alike, that Rhysian was already putting two and two togetherโฆ
โIโm worried, Kaylโฆโ She whispered with a small sigh, pressing a little closer to her twin as to not be overheard. โHeโs been asking a lot of questionsโฆโ Given their Motherโs warnings about their family and their hate of twins, Lelyna worried that they were in danger of being found out. There was no telling if their Father would be able to protect them if the rest of the DeโValaer family found out about Lelynaโs existence, but as it stood, it might well be too late anywayโฆ
Approaching the class, Lelyna stopped her steps and took a moment to compose herself. โWill you join Mikhail and I for dinner tonight? Heโs been so busyโฆI just want him to have a few moments to relax.โ Hearing Kaylโs answer, she smiled and nodded before heading into the classroom with her friend and brother.
Sniffing the air, she smelled a light, natural perfume. There was only one other student in the class, Erika. Smiling a little, Lelyna walked alongside Kayl as he led her to her seat at the head of the class. โGood Morning, Erika. How are you doing?โ She asked politely, wanting to make the girl feel welcome. It seemed that their Professor hadnt arrived just yetโฆ
Walking steadily along with Lelyna, Kayl looked to the ground in contemplation at her words. He was curious as to what kinds of questions Rhysian had been asking, but didn't want to alarm her any mor then she already was. "I know L, the only thing we can do now is play it safe," He said lowly, trying to ease her mind a bit if at all possible. When she asked if he would join them for dinner, Kayl smiled lightly at the subject change and nodded his head. Although he was able to spend more time with Lelyna, there was so much time that they would never be able to make up for, so anytime she wanted to spend time with him, whether in the company of others or not, he tried his best to oblige her.
Nodding lightly, he led her to the door of the classroom before pushing the door open and entering. The only other person in the room was Erika, but that was to be expected as they were still a bit early. Kayl walked Lelyna over to a seat that was set at the head of the class, and then took his own seat just couple seats over from Erika at the same table. "Good Morning Erika, how are you today?" He would ask in light conversation before hearing the door pop open once more.
"Hello Students," Rhysian called out as he stepped in through the door and walked to the head of the class, he pulled his seat back and away from the desk, and the stood behind it where his chair was before him and looked up at the students in preparation. "Good Morning to you all," He said as he placed a hand down on the desk in front of him and looked to Lelyna then. "Good Morning Lelyna as well," He said with a slight smile.
"Now then, as I was working out the particulars of your first few lesson plans, I was initially going to have you all write up a small report on your own raiments. Your thoughts, your ideas, how it works in your perspective, how you think you can improve..." Rhysian said slowly, steadily as he stepped back around the desk, moving closer to his class. "...This was, of course, a way for me to gauge your thoughts and positions on your own raiments so that I can form proper lesson plans for each of you, something for me to work with past all of the information given to me from your processed entry applications," Rhysian leaned against his desk then, placing his hands in front of him while interlacing his fingers in front of his thighs.
Taking a moment, he looked to all of them with narrowed eyes before standing and turning back around his desk. "However, as we have such a small class, it seems like an unnecessary step, so I would like each of you to stand, and tell the class a bit more about yourself, and your raiment, and what you hope to accomplish here in Eoana," After returning to the back of his desk, Rhysian retook his seat and sat down at his desk before placing his elbows on the table and interlacing his fingers once more. "Erika, why don't we start with you..."

She sat there quietly, with her elbow on the desk and her head in her palm, tapping the desk top with her other finger, eventually turned into drawing circles. When Lelyna came in, she straightened up and smiled lightly, "Good morning. I'm alright, how about you?" She looked over at Kayl and went to answer, but the professor came in and being polite, she turned her attention to him. Erika watched him as he moved and nodded as he talked. There was only a small percent chance that she would be first to talk about her raiment and well it happened. She was picked first and a small bit of anxiety settled in. She then stood.
"My raiment is Cholorkinesis. I can manipulate plant life and make it into weapons or shields. What I want to accomplish would be to master it, of course. I think any student here would want to at least understand it better. If I have the ability I want to be able to help others medically or help with crops. I just want to leave here at my master level."

โGood morning, Professor.โ Lelyna said with a polite and friendly smile in greeting. Although she didnโt know Rhysian very well, and even though she was still wary of him and his interest in her and Kayl, she hoped that he would prove to be an ally to her and her brother. Sheโd hate it if they developed a friendship, or a mentorship, only to have him find out they were twins. If that happened, there was a good chance that the DeโValaer prejudice would shine true. Only time would tell if Rhysian would be an ally or a foeโฆ
Lelyna listened politely to the class as Rhysian led the first official Diviner lesson of the year. It was typical; he needed to know what his students could do and so, he asked them directly. Erikaโs power was very interesting. She gave a few more details about her power than her file had indicated, but her answers were still a bit vague. Lelyna wished she could witness the girlโs power, but alas, something like that would best be experienced with the eyes and not with the other senses. Maybe she could look into Kaylโs memories and see a demonstration one day.
Sitting silently with her hands folded in her lap, Lelyna made mental notes for herself. She was sure that Rhysian would want to speak with her about the class and her impressions โ this was all a part of her being the Teaching Assistant. She might run a class now and then, so she needed to be prepared. The rest of the time she was continuing to learn from her mentor.
Sitting back in his seat, Kayl listened intently as his fellow student speak about her raiment. He looked to the desk in front of him for a moment as he frowned lightly. Like previous professors, Kayl would have to ask to be relieved of this particular class activity, which was why it was so surprising what came next. After Erika finished speaking and took her seat, Rhysian leaned forward in his seat and leaned against his desk on his elbows. "Hmmm, Well Erika, its good to have goals to work towards, but I wouldn't get too far ahead of yourself, mastering a raiment is not an easy or quick task. There will always be something more for you to learn about your own power throughout your entire lifetime even after you leave this place, but I understand and applaud you for wanting to learn more and master what you can..."
Looking to Kayl then, Rhysian brought his hands up in front of his face before narrowing his eyes lightly. "Kayl, I am fully aware of your situation, I was of course made aware as your instructor and part of the administration upon arriving, however, I would like you not to shy away from this, and please tell us what you can about your raiment." Kayl nearly froze when he heard Rhysian's words. Looking up from the desk, he looked from Erika to Lelyna to Rhysian before standing slowly and leaning against the table in front of him. "O-ok, my raiment is an odd one, it gives me a generalized mastery over a skill upon trying something new, or gain knowledge about specific information, such as from a book, even if I never read said book before," Kayl said lightly while looking around the room once more. "Like Erika, I wish to better understand my own raiment, to learn how to control it, or perhaps at least learn how it works," Kayl said lightly before looking back down at his desk and sitting down.

Erika nodded at the professor's feedback. She knew mastering a raiment wouldn't be an easy or quick task, but it was something she was willing to take the time. Once Kayl told of his raiment, Erika did pay attention to him.
She was polite just like everyone was for her. Once the class has ended, she waited for her dismissal and left.

"Hmmm," Rhysian said as he leaned back in his chair, bringing one of his hands up to his chin and stroking it lightly as he was in contemplation. 'I wonder...' He thought to himself just before standing and stepping around his desk once more. "That is very interesting, Erika, Kayl. It seems you both have very interesting raiments, ones that I am particularly interested in seeing firsthand. This works to our benefit, as before we can start to work on improving your understanding of your raiment, we must first learn to what extent you understand your raiments now." He said while leaning against his desk once more, almost sitting at its edge as he crossed his hands in front of his chest. "Thus our next lesson will be taking place in the training grounds, which should give us plenty of room and space to use our raiments freely, this will be a test of sorts, not one for you to pass, but one to gauge your power and control over your raiments, as well as to gauge your ability and understanding of your raiments." Rhysian said just before looking up at the clock ticking away in the grandfather clock placed at the back of the room. "I apologize for cutting this class short, but I am still getting caught up in administrative affairs, We shall hold a full class in the training grounds on our next lesson. Class dismissed..." Was all Rhysian said before taking a seat at the desk once more. He would wait until the students and the teaching assistant left before closing out the classroom and leaving last.
Although it was expected that Rhysian would ask Kayl about his raiment, considering how sensitive Kayl was about the whole thing, Lelyna felt a bit of anxiety for her brother when he was asked to talk about it. Clutching her hands together in her lap, a crease of worry marred her forehead as she waited for Kayl to speak. It was clear that Kayl was nervous about it as well, but he was truthful in his explanation and to the point. He had a remarkable ability, but he just didnโt know how it worked.
It was the wish of any student, to better understand and master their ability, but at the same time, Lelyna had to wonder if there was more to it than that. Some people wished to use their raiments for the betterment of themselves, others wanted to use their power for the betterment of their Kingdoms and families. Lelyna had no doubt that Kayl, once he mastered his raiment, would use his power for others, to protect and help as he could. But she was curious of Erika would do the sameโฆ
Overall, the class was far shorter than Lelyna would have expected, but as Rhysian had explained, he was still fairly new to the Academy and he was merely substituting the class while doing all of his other Court Mage duties. Therefore, it was very understandable that he would need to cut the class short in favor of going back to his office to see to his administrative duties, so he didnโt get too far behind.
Once class was officially dismissed, Lelyna arose from her chair and waited for Kayl to offer his arm. โHave a pleasant evening, Professor.โ Lelyna said politely before Kayl led her from the classroom. Hopefully next time, she could do more as a teaching assistant instead of just simply sitting and listeningโฆ

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Calliope Callas awoke with a start, her long hair plastered against her face. She let herself take a few moments, slowing her breathing as she looked out of her window that her mattress was placed precariously close to, before running a hand across her face. Beads of sweat came with it, and she wiped it onto her shirt. Looking around, liking that it was just her alone in the dormroom thus far, she quickly got ready for the day.
She entered the class slowly, looking around to see if anyone else was there. It dawned on her that she had missed a couple of classes, and she didn't know if she would be chastised for it. When the coast seemed to be clear, she quickly took up a seat, in the back, away from the door and closest to the window. It was a magnificent room, and she had wished she would have come sooner. Calliope did not truly mean to skip the class, but every day seemed to run together for her and she was still getting used to a real school with real teachings and real students.
Groaning to herself, how stupid and childish did that sound, the girl looked out the window and let her mind fall into a daze. She had no idea if the class would actually begin, or if the teacher had given the students a day off, but she was sure to find out. It was still nice: looking out into the confines of the school grounds. The small patters of rain hit the window much like a cat who wished to come inside would. Walking to class hadn't been a bother, seeing as Calli didn't mind the rain, and the chill was a different pace than the harsh sun of the desert all day. Her thoughts traveled slowly, like molasses, as she waited for the day to begin unbeknownst to her what occured in the woods only a few miles away from the grounds. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Yes, you know what must be done," A low grumbled voice could be heard outside of the door as a set of footsteps could be heard lightly echoing through the halls towards the class. The steps stopped for a moment in front of the door, but no more words carried over, and after a moment of brief silence, the second set of steps moved on down the hall, echoing lightly away from the class until it was gone. The door opened then, and Rhysian entered the classroom with a stern and serious look upon his face. Rhysian hadn't expected anyone to be in class just yet as he had come early this morning, but upon entering he noted a particular young woman sitting in the back of the class by the window. A student he had not yet had the pleasure of meeting.
"Hmmm, you must be the new student or at least relatively new," Rhysian said as he stepped over to his desk and place a small satchel on the edge. "For a moment there I thought there might have been a mistake in the paperwork since I had a non-existing student in the midst of this class's roster," He said lightly, making light of her absences from when she had joined the academy. It didn't seem like he was too worried or even bothered for that matter that she hadn't been present, and he continued to prep for the next class like any other day. "I am Rhysian De'Valaer, one of this Academy's Court Mages, and temporary teacher for this class, would I be correct in surmising that you are Ms. Callas?" He asked while taking a seat in his chair, placing his elbows on the desk and crossing and intwining his fingers together in front of his face.

You would think Autumn would be a nice breeze with warm colours everywhere. Not today because of the rain. Quickly Erika took a shower and dried her hair thoroughly, not wanting to get sick. Her hair then went into the twin low ponytails to get some of her hair out of her face so it wouldn't stick to her face.
Once settled and ready to go, she headed out, making her way toward the Diviner's classroom. When she arrived, she came in slowly, smiling lightly at the professor and the new person and took her seat, waiting for the rest.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Calliope was so engorged on her own thoughts of the school, she had not heard the faint sound of the older man by the door. If she had tuned in on every person that walked by the classroom, she would drive herself crazy with the snippets of conversation. Instead she kept her head in the clouds, thinking of the rain and if it would last for long, and how long classes usually took after commencing. Back in Rimal there was no such academy like the one she found herself in, but they weren't stupid. Most would call them savages, but some knew how to read and write just fine. Being enrolled in a real school was strange for her, still not being used to adults telling her what to do and when to do something. She wondered if that was-
Her attention peaked when she realized someone was actually in the class with her. She did not stand, but her head swiveled quickly from the window towards a tall man walking further into the room. A blush spread across her features as she was practically outed for her absence, and she cleared her throat but only shrugged in response. It was a slight apology, but it would be all he got for now. He continued to speak, and pegged her as none other than her name. Calli nodded at this, watching as the man now known to her as Rhysian moved about papers and materials on the desk.
When he was finished with getting everything in order, he sat behind his desk, giving Calliope a chance to respond, "Yes, I am Calliope Callas. If every class is like this, I don't think I've missed much." She was joking, returning Rhysian's own humor back on him, and she crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back in her seat. "It's nice to meet you, Rhysian," she continued, unknowing of the appropriate way to address most teachers. "Am I early or is everyone else late?"
Just as the words were uttered, a young looking girl came slowly into the empty class. She seemed nice enough, smiling both at the teacher as well as Calliope. It was met with a smirk, the brunette watching as the girl took her seat a little ways away from her. There must not have been a specific time students could enter the classroom, she thought. Or there was a grace period in which they could come in before the door was locked. Would they lock the doors? That would be interesting if they did. Smirking lightly at Calliope's sarcastic answer, Rhysian brought his hands down at his desk while leaning back in his chair lightly. He was amused at the new girl. She had spunk, he liked spunk. He looked over Calliope with narrowed eyes for a moment as he lifted one leg up, crossing his right foot up and onto his left knee, "Well, I would suggest not missing anymore, you may come to regret what little you'll miss," He said as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Well, the last couple classes was more so me playing catch up and learning about my students, as I am subbing this class until a teacher is hired for the Diviner Knit. In the last class, I had each student tell me about their raiment, the good, the bad, their ambitions in regards to the raiment, and what they think they know about their raiments." He said just as Erika, one of the other students made her way into the classroom. When she smiled at him, He nodded lightly at her in response and then waited for her to take her seat.
"Well for this class, we will be stepping out to the training grounds as I stated in the last class, once our final student has arrived we can head out there so that we can have some first-hand use and lessons on raiments and magic as a whole," Rhysian said before then looking back to Calliope and bringing a hand up to the side of his face as he leaned against his desk. He leaned his face against his hand, as he got comfortable and spoke again. "Ms. Callas, since we are still one short of our full class, I'll give you a chance to play catch up as well," Rhysian said while lifting his chin up, his eyes widening and narrowing with the various tones of his last words. Essentially, until the remaining student and TA arrived, he would extend the events of the last class, and give her a chance to do the same. "So please, tell us about your raiment, the good, the bad, your ambitions, your thoughts, and what you feel you might be able to accomplish here," After a moment, Rhysian's brows rose lightly and he tilted his head slightly as he leaned against his hand, some of his fingers curling just in front of his mouth as he waited for her to share.
