While practiced in hiding his true feelings on the matter, Wildstripe's ear may have flicked slightly at Wildflower's words. Let them die. Ouch. He knew tensions were high, but that was harsh. Still, he didn't say anything in response, only nodded to the Deputy obediently before following orders and taking up his guard. Staring across the border, he mentally sent out a silent plea. 'Stay safe, Cinder...'
Silentblaze's soft voice caused Wildstripe's ear to twitch in her direction to better hear. He turned to her, considering her question before looking over at Wildflower's eager young apprentice. It wouldn't do to feed into any lurking fears, however avoidance of the clear issue wouldn't help either. Perhaps an honest, up front conversation might keep their minds engaged, but not running away from them towards panic.
"I can't say I have," he offered to Silentblaze in a similarly quiet tone. He looked towards Rabbitpaw, including her in the conversation. "Do you think they fight like cats? Or more like dogs?"

Moving forward Meta!
The mother fox being perused continued on. And Barked. "Just.... Kit.... Where?!"
She swam across the river to the otherside fully in riverclan territory.
Brightstar watched it go, but nodded to cats wanting to chase it. "Makesure it leaves lightning clan, but dont cross the border." Right now it was too raw, but she wasnt chasing so she could only hope that her cats would listen.
The fox, NOW IN RIVERCLAN took a moment to breathe from the fight. But with cats on her tail she moved along. "Kit!" She sniffed and she caught the scent of more cats. And then she followed, Straight toward the Riverclan camp. "Kit! Where!"
ALRIGHT! RIverclan's turn!! Protect your camp!
Roll your dice to attack the fox, or if you are still determined not to fight you can try to talk at it. Or throw the kit at it... but i mean up to you. Who knows it may still attack you all. xD
Remember, This fox deals damage to all cats who attack it, but now that its at 500, it can "focus" and deal 10 EXTRA damage to the hardest hitting cat. So hardest hitting cat would take 20 damage instead.
Leaders HAVE to fight if fighting is started. (Even if she thinks its stupid to fight she needs to protect her clan.)
Lightningclan has been told to stay home So ONLY riverclan and cats that are 'disobeying' can now attack the fox!
EDIT: If Stonebelly looks over the kit closely he will see it has runny eyes and nose, as well as a fair number of fleas, but appears otherwise well, though it does bark/cough again.

Leopardthroat was panting heavily, bruised and tufts of his spotted fur hanging off of him in scraps. However, the fox was gone, successfully chased from LightningClan's territory and over to RiverClan's. He watched as Snapthroat chased after it, but Brightstar's words held him from following at his Clanmate's heels.
So, instead, he turned to pad over to his leader with a weary smile.
"It's just one thing after the next, isn't it?" He mewed to her, then more softly. "How're you holding up?"
Leopardthroat: 6
Pineripple took blows as well as dealt them. She wouldn't stop fighting, not until she proved herself. She thought of Brightstar's admiration, thought of how warm she would feel seeing it. She was so absorbed in her thoughts that she nearly followed the fox as it ran, her paws skidding at the edge of the river. She flattened her ears at the sight of the water and turned, hurrying back to Cedarfang and her Clanmates.
"I must've gotten to into it there." She said sheepishly. She leaned briefly against Cedarfang, gulping in air as she grounded herself. "You fought well. I daresay we've earned a nap when we get back to camp." She said with a half-smile.

Now that he was back in his den, Stonebelly was able to get a good look at the kit, noting the fleas with some distaste. Some bile would fix that right up, but this kit had been through enough. He wasn't about to prod it with the foul smelling stuff.
Eyeballing its running eyes and nose, he nodded to himself and began to mutter the various herbs that may be helpful for the kit.
"Borage for fevers, coltsfoot for a kitten's cough..." He placed his tail gently over the kit's forehead. It didn't seem feverish. "Lavender, maybe..." He went towards the back of his den, sniffing out the scent for colstfoot and scooping two leaves up. It occurred to him that in situations like this, he wouldn't mind an extra set of paws around. Maybe this apprentice thing wasn't such a bad idea. Turning a half-step, he added some borage to the pile under his chin, before he returned to the she-cat and the kit.
"Flamedapple, do you think you can get her to eat these?" He asked, indicating to the leaves. "I'll be back in a moment with the remainder of the honeycomb, which may make it easier for her to swallow." He mewed. "Half of it is better than none, but all of it would be better." He added, before turning and shuffling away into the depths of his den again.
Lostpaw was delighted when both apprentices turned to face her and she mimicked the play bow that Cardinalpaw had presented to her. That, added with Bumblepaw's playful paw, gave Lostpaw immense pleasure that she finally had some cats to practice with.
She wiggled on the ground for a moment and then launched forward with a battle cry, leaping towards Cardinalpaw. However, in her excitement, it wasn't exactly a straight leap forward. Maybe it was all that wiggling...
Darktail had remained at camp while the others rushed off. Someone had to remain to guard the camp and he was going to make sure that it was well-guarded. As some members of the patrol returned, carrying an unusual addition to the Clan, he waited to see if Shadowstar would come into sight. Ready to welcome her back, he padded forward to sit at the entrance of the camp, waiting to see what news others would bring.

Shadowstar had to trust that Foxfur would go back to came immediately and follow her orders. Forstclan willing the fox would never get over here for that to be an issue.
Starting back to the border, the dark-she cat skidded to a stop as she just missed crossing paths with a fox. For two breaths she just stood there in disbelief. How had this beast gotten past her border patrol? Shaking her head, she set her tail into a hooked bobbing motion and tore off after the fox to intercept it.
Yowling at the top of her lungs, the leader called out to any cats in hearing distance, "FOX!!" Without hesitation she lept in front of the she-beast putting herself between it and the camp. "NO. KIT. TAKEN. UP stream." She pointed her paw towards the direction the loner tom had gone and away from clan territory.
The fact that she was speaking to a fox hit absurd after the initial shock wore off. There was nothing wrong with lying to an enemy, especially a fox. By the Forestclan, Foxfur please don't let her down!
Cardinalpaw mimicked Lostpaw's movements, a silent hiss to compliment the fighting moves. The play drained right out of her the moment her sensitive hears picked up the sounds of something bad.
It wasn't so much that she understood the words as she knew the voice and the tone of it set her fur on edge. Shrinking back, the red paw glued herself to her brother wrapping her tail around herself and siting hyper alert.
There was no purr.
caffeinecraving I didn't tag the last one because on phone, last post she gave orders to Foxfur, this one she is confronting the fox and hoping for a high initiative roll (^.~)

Flamedapple nodded, taking the leaves and chewing them into a pulp before nudging it towards the kitten. "This will help you feel better." she cooed, hoping the little one would understand enough that even some of it was going to help in some way or form. Probably not as much as wanting her real mom but they'd work on that. She groomed the kits head a bit, trying to smooth down wild fur when a yowl from Shadowstar not far off and a strong scent of fox suddenly hit her.
Eyes wide, Flamedapple tried not to panic but glanced back for Stonebelly. "Something's wrong..." she frowned. Foxfur seemed to burst in at that moment, warning the camp and rushing over to her. Leaping to her paws, her heart pounded in her chest. She glanced back down at the kitten then back at Foxfur, eyes full of worry. "I... I'll..." she blinked, glancing at her kittens and Lostpaw and then frowned. She pressed her head to Foxfur's before pulling back and calling the Lostpaw from their playing. "Lostpaw, do you think you are ready to try what you've learned?"
Bumblepaw had been about to playfully pounce on Lostpaw when Cardinalpaw suddenly changed her features and glued herself to him. Blinking in confusion, he parted his mouth, the sudden scent of fox hitting him. Heart pounding in his chest he glanced around at Lostpaw, then his sister than over to his mom and Foxfur, feeling the fear waft from them. Frowning, he pawed the air in his mother's direction, watching her movements.
Bearpaw had scurried back to camp with his mentor after he heard Shadowstar give orders and a fox had sneaked into their territory. Sticking close to the orange cat he flung himself into camp again, echoing Foxfur's words loudly. "FOX!! FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOX!" he screeched, eyes wide, heart beating so fast. He'd need so many mice after this was all done. Practically panting, he slunk after Foxfur over towards the medcat den, head tilting at the kitten that had caused this all. He reached up and pawed at the orange tom cat, glancing between him and Flamedapple. "Are we all going to get eaten? Because I'd like to eat before I got eated...." he frowned, looking stupidly pitiful.
Shaking his head he took a deep breath, rubbing a paw across his face to try and calm down. 'Remember what Rabbitpaw said! You were totally leading those cats and super cool! Bearstar!'

Wildflower hissed at the fox as it bounded over into their territory. Her fur bristled and her tail lashed the air like a blade. Her claws dug deep into the dirt. Pathetic! How quickly it had slipped over too, that irritated her to no end. She was about to lung at the fox when Shadowstar sprang in and put herself between the fox and the clan. "Shadowstar!" she hissed in surprise, taking a few steps forward. "You aren't alone. Let me have your back." she insisted, stepping to the side to continue the sort of cat barrier being made.
Russetstorm tore after Shadowstar, still making sure Owlpaw was in toe. "Now is a good time to show me what you've learned as well!" he called over his shoulder, tail high. He came to a stop only when he came across the scene of Shadowstar trying to feint the fox with Wildflower bristling at her side. Growling, he unsheathed his claws and took a few paw steps forward, but still behind his leader.
Having heard the call of fox, Rivermist tore from the den, picking up on the scent of it mingled with other cats. She bounded as quickly as she could, aiming to add her number to the list of cats ready to fight off the fox. Hopefully they'd be able to take it... if Lightningclan and their numbers couldn't.... Sighing, she turned her head to see if Longclaw had followed her.

Rabbitpaw’s eye narrowed in thought to Wildstripe’s question. Do they fight like a cat or a dog? She’d only ever fought cats so how would a dog fight? She started to chew on her lower lip anxiously, trying to remember what Wildflower had taught her in this situation. Had she? Or was this the lesson?
Silentblaze’s look made Rabbitpaw halt. The female’s ears twitched towards Lightningclan's territory before answering Wildstripe, “I don’t know, but I think we’re about to find out.” Her voice was strained, and she was on her paws as a flash of red passed them by a ways down the border line- straight into Riverclan territory.
Right then a blur of Swiftfoot passed them by, taking off after the fox along with Wildflower. Silentblaze looked at the other cats around her nodding at them as Shadowstar’s call went out, “Lets go. Keep your wits about you and stay safe.” She wished them all well before taking off after Swiftfoot and Wildflower. It didn’t take both cats long before they came beside their leaders, but it was Swiftfoot who didn’t stop.
He came tearing through, launching himself at the fox with claws barred. There was no way in heck he’d let a fox tear through his home! That simple move was enough for Silentblaze to follow up, to ensure her clanmate wasn’t alone to deal with the fox.
Rabbitpaw took off after her mentor and stayed close behind her. When they stopped beside Shadowstar she kept a bit back, but pressed her shoulder to her mentor’s hip to keep herself steady as she finally took the fox in. It was way bigger than she had expected! She swallowed hard, clawing the dirt under her like she always saw Wildflower do. Her tail fluffed in surprise as two cats went in and she looked up at her mentor. Would they be as well?
